Ambient Display on G3 Lollipop? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Moto G 2nd Gen whit Lollipop and i have the Ambient Display option, but on my G3 International whit Lollipop i dont have it, is there a way to get this feature on the G3 Lollipop roms?
Thanks.

Adispl
Ambient display is a feature that requires an led display to work properly (because the black pixels on an led display are actually not being lid) and even if there's an option to have this on your G3 the battery drain would be enormous (in my estimation)

Ambient Display is a Lollipop feature, and if a low device such the Moto G 2nd gen whit an ips display, can get it, why we don't?

[Q] LG G3 (T-mobile) Screen colors different

I've recently purchased 2 LG G3 from T-mobile and strangely, the screen colors on those two appear to be quite different? (one seems to be warmer and sort of darker, I have two screen at the same brightness level)
The easiest way to tell the difference is to pull out the setting screen where there are menu options in white background, the colors on the white backgrounds are clearly different on two devices. I've also tried to compare the two I have with another G3 in T-mobile store, and the 3rd one doesn't have the same color to any of mine G3's. The color adjustment settings on all 3 devices are OFF, I've tried to factory reset the devices I owned but nothing changed. Anyone notice the same issue with your G3?
Also I notice there's a code on the back of the back cover of the G3, does that code represent anything? Is it okay to swap the back covers of the 2 G3's with same model?
Thanks
That's just the QC tolerance from what I understand. My korean G3 has warmer colors while my D850 has cooler ones. You can swap back covers without any issues so don't worry about that. Anyway back to the displays, you can download an app to adjust the color tone. At the end of the day it's just how that particular display is.
Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, I've never had a chance to compare two devices with the same model. I've always expected them to have the same exact screen colors.
Could you point me to some apps that can adjust screen color tone? The Color Adjustments setting under Accessibility setting menu is just for contrast, right?
Trickster mod if you are rooted is a good one. Just search the play store for it there should be quite a few out there.

Glance view

On the new LG G Flex, LG added a feature they call "Glance view". This allows you to put one finger on the screen while off, and pull down to see the time and any notifications. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to get "Glance view" onto the G3. Thanks in advance!

I guess it would work, but the point with glance view is that it only activates a part of the screen to save battery and give the user quick info about clock and notifications. This works good on G Flex 2 since it has a P-OLED screen which only activates the pixels needed to show the graphics. The traditional LCD IPS screen on LG G3 has to activate all pixels to show the info and will not give the nice same battery saving and not the awesome deep black a P-OLED screen has.
I wouldent save no to the effect tho...
i wish

Moto G5 Screen Calibration

Hello, does anyone know of any firmware that adds an option to calibrate the touch screen once a screen protector is applied? All other phones I had such as an old samsung galaxy and I believe the moto g3 (correct me if I'm wrong please) had the option to touch five targets to calibrate the screen in display settings. Apparently this phone does not

As in, almost every custom ROM has Ambient display inbuilt ... But can we have Ambient display with the added features which are in the Ambient display of Moto Devices i.e. Moto Display

Oled Lockscreen no notifications?

Why does x2 oled lock screen not show notifications besides missed call? I thought the whole point of not having notifications led was cause they'd be shown on screen? Third party oled apps make front fp sensor not work and are overall wonky.
This phone has such good hardware and yet software won't let you use any of it to it's max potential?
Wait for the upcoming RealMe ui update on March.. It'll be having a better AOD feature and more.
