Support on this thread is for LiquidSmooth ROM related issues only.
While we do not mind helping, its getting impossible to sort through issues that are ROM related or not. Persistent non-ROM related issues are best suited for the AT&T Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Section.
Below is a few things I would appreciate you list when you are having issues so we have as much information as possible when trying to help you with your problems.
Is this a Clean flash
Is this the stock kernel
What firmware revision are you on
What gapps package are you using
Have you had this issue on other ROMs
Do you have any apps that change/modify system preferences (Xposed, etc)
Do you have any task killers installed
If you are having app issues, are they running off of internal memory or extSdCard

What he is referring to is the "Enable Navigation bar" setting.. In the previous build the setting was missing but the Navigation bar height and width setting was there So we had to flash the zip but in the new build you won't have to, I guess it was an over sight. The hardware keys can still be used if you want.
Cheers

Really enjoy this lollipop build and it having some darkened menus.
Listening to music while the screen is off and just tapping to adjust the volume will change the song instead of adjusting the volume. Changing the battery display style to text will show the icon next to it if device is rebooted.

Great Rom. It just has same issue as all note 2 lollipop roms i.e. when the phone is off and it get connected to the charger the phone freezes and is not possible to power it up until the battery get removed and inserted back again.

That issue is not only confined to the lollipop builds, but also many other CM/AOSP based builds of KitKat and earlier.
Have a good one!

Pretty good for an alpha release
I installed the 12-23 version of the rom and I am pretty impressed with how usable it is. Not all liquidsmooth features are there but it is a really good start.
* Some of the settings screens are for example still with white backgrond while the others were alrwady converted to dark.
* The dialer has been converted into dark background as well. It doesn't particularly look good.
* The gps is not working out of the box. I flashed the zip at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57640318&postcount=32 and it worked top notch.
* Camera is working both back and front and can record video.
* Both incoming and outgoing voice calls work.
* SMS works.
* Data LTE works.
* Stylkus works well. I used papyrus and onenote and it does palm rejection correctly. Not like other cm12 roms where the stylus is just like a mouse. Pressure is correctly detected. Out of the box a mouse pointer will appear where the pen tip is detected. You can edit /system/usr/idc/sec-e-pen.idc and replace the device type from pointer to touchScreen and then reboot
* Netflix doesn't work. We just get the spinning wheel before even signing up and after a while we get error -9.
* Chrome browser suffers from visual artifact as well on google search results. Probably video driver issue.
* playing music through speakers exhibit high distortion at 75% and up. Ut seems to be a driver issue it sounds like digital distortion rather than analog.
* Google now voice search works well execpt for the sound it plays right after it recognized the ok google command. The audio is cut at the end and it is very noticeable.
That's all I got for now. It is really promising.
Thanks to the liquidsmooth team. It is a a really good work.

Stylus not working great

I don't know what happened but the stylus suddenly failed palm rejection. By that I mean writing with the stylus while having a finger or palm on the screen. On version 3.1 of Liquidsmooth, it works well but with version 4.0, any application understanding the spen will behave erratically if both pen digitizer and touch digitizer record simultaneously a touch.

In fact, we loose the palm rejection when the deviceType in sec_epen.idc is set to touchScreen. The intent of that was to remove the mouse cursor that appears when using the spen. Liquidsmooth under kitka has an option to show/hide the cursor in the fly. Maybe the devs can port that to lollipop. I tried 3 lollipop roms so far and they all have the same issues.

Whats new you ask....wellllllll
So far I have the system fully up to date with latest CM changes (ie you can say "CID" and the camera will take a photo, brand new option)
- I have cleaned up the code ( Previous overlays were a mess)
- We now can get multi colored LEDs (Red, green and yellowish)
- I have fixed panadroid so that Stock UI and Phablet mode works. I just need to get tablet modes straight and pretty sure I know what is wrong.
- Torch is now fixed.
- Now using mako power profile since we are using mako kernel (AND NO YOU CANT JUST FLASH ANY MAKO KERNEL!!!!! THIS HAS BEEN TWEAKED FOR US)
- Stock UI and Phablet mode now work flawlessly. You can change your dpi without any issues. Both tablet modes need a little work and working with a Paranoid friend to fix it. I am pretty sure I know the issue.
- A few kernel mods have been done.
- CM's Apollo apk has now been added in
- A few other tweaks as well
Download
http://d-h.st/waC
Whats not working:
- As of right now Torch just needs to be enabled. (This will be enabled in next build, still testing it out)
- I need to tweak ROMControl and Navbar settings (Well Nav bar seems to mess up device a little) You will get navbar in Panadroid Mode
- Camera has a max of 8MP currently and auto focus is still iffy. We are working on getting this going.
*******FOR NOW PLEASE DONT TOGGLE THE NAV BAR SOFT KEYS OR NAV BUTTON...I NEED DISABLE THESE ALL TOGETHER.*******
Features
- We are featuring the Faux based kernel Synergy and I have put together, though he did most of the hard work! Kudos!
- 4.7 Linaro compiled kernel and ROM
Thanks to That_Guy0505, and Barshalen for testing this with me. Most of all would like to thank Theo2889, for he gives the best reach arounds...top notch...PM him..sure he would love to help!

Also I would like to let everyone know that if you want the photosphere camera posted by _Epic to work I have tested it and can confirm that it does work with this ROM. I deleted the gallery apk in Root Explorer first and then flashed the zip. Enjoy this ROM guys, it's beautiful!

this rom sounds pretty good.
I have a couple of questions:
Does the camera (focus) work on this ROM?
Is the camera limited to 8MP or 13 MP? (CM 10.1 can only do 8MP)

Bud...I will make sure you are the first to know when Auto Focus completely works. Shelnutt2 and myself are both looking into see why the mm-qcamera-daemon keeps running and causes auto focus not to work. We will then move onto getting 13mp camera going.

I'm really excited to try this; I'm just waiting for the camera focus bug to be worked out in all the AOSP stuff since I use it on a daily basis. But this looks amazing. Thank you, Devs.
Been running this rom for over a day now and I haven't had any issues. There's a lot of features so just be prepared to spend some time to set it up how you want it. Well worth the time to play around and test every feature/option. It's my daily driver from now on for sure.
One quick tip: if the nav bar pops up from messing with the paranoid settings, just set the nav bar size to 0 in the interface settings. Have had no issues at all that way.
Also Rlasalle, on the newest official change log they said they added a script so that after flashing a rom update you don't have to re flash gapps, and it also saves all of your pa settings. Is that going to be in the next version by chance?

I tried this rom, but reverted to cm for now... Some really frustrating issues: navigation bar only goes away if i set size to zero, but that messes up some other parts of ui. Dpi settings are wrong and unfixable. Some fonts are very small, while others are standard. Gps still doesn't work.

Dpi settings are completely "fixable". Go into the hybrid settings, then apps. This area lets you adjust the dpi of each app individually. If you want the app to be the same size and layout as stock then set it to 320.
What does setting the nav bar size to 0 mess up? I've had no issues..
As far as GPS, make sure you get a GPS lock on a stock based rom before flashing an aosp rom. I have not had any issues with GPS after doing this.

Also does anyone know how to disable the navigation bar, I'm not really sure how it even got enabled?

Go to hybrid settings, swipe right and go into interface, set nav bar to 0%. This has already been mentioned in a few posts. As for apps with small text, go to apps in the hybrid settings menu and change the apps size to 320.

4.4 mini-FAQ
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Titanium Backup isn't restoring apps!
A) Change the backups folder to storage/emulated/legacy.
Known Issues
Navigation bar recents button sometimes needs to be pressed twice
Lockscreen when carousel animation is enabled dragging the camera icon messes the animation
Icons on global menu are sometimes a bit distored....not much
Network mode tile does not always work
WOHOO!!!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!!
Glad to see this. Only might want to name thread SlimKat not SlimBean. You know, since it's 4.4.1

Edit:ran all day today at work. Good battery life, good cell reception and LTE when in that area. Very pleased with this build.

Power it off and let it charge for several hours. See if that fixes it.
I'm rubbing my eyes as I can't believe what I'm reading! Wow! Can't wait to give this a go! Sadly, it could be a few days before I have time to go slimkat.

Nice ROM so far, very nice in fact. Few things though. Doesn't read my SD Card (exFat). When you power down phone while its charging it will show battery charging screen for a few seconds then boots up. Doesn't show Galaxy S4 boot screen when it does that. When it finishes loading the phone is completely unresponsive. Only when you shut down while charging though. Not sure if it's happening to anybody else. Did a FULL wipe.

Tapatalk SlimKat 4.4.1
I have to say this. Compared to all the other custom KK ROMs I've tried, SlimKat is different. For one thing, I note the different screen configuration that, while taking some getting used to, is still something that's growing on me. I'll see how it performs battery-wise, particularly with ART enabled, but I can definitely see why this is a favorite of some Android users.
One note: Your SlimOTA keeps saying the stable build is an update to the weekly beta. Is this intentional?
Finally, one question. I do note that SlimKat uses a white title color instead of the standard teal. Is this something that can be changed or customized?
Thank you for your feedback
We know about the updater and will fix it, if you become the update message go to settings, apps, all apps , slimcenter and disable there the notification.
The white colour can't be change, only with another theme, in the future a new theme engine comes, then you can change it.

Same problem here. Running great till this happened. I turned off last night to charge. Picked up this morning and headed to work. When I touched the power button the screen came on like if it was asleep. But the screen was unresponsive. I held the power button a few seconds and it booted, well tried to. It stuck at the "galaxy s 4" splash screen. Had a hard time trying to mess with it while driving. Managed to pull the battery. Got into recovery and wiped cache/dalvik just to try. Again stuck at "galaxy s 4" splash screen. Ended up reflashing once at work(dirty flash) and got the same result. Had to restore my backup to use at work.
I'm coming over from AT&T 4.4 KitKat to see if you guys were experiencing my issues and it looks like you are.
Booting up to the lockscreen and the screen doesn't recognize swipes or presses of fingers. Only happens when rebooting while charging.
And of course, the getting stuck at Galaxy S4 splash screen which is happening on AOSP & stock 4.4. But more on AOSP it seems.

Oddly enough, I have yet to see this.
On 4.3, I had a few times with getting stuck at the splash screen, which was presumably a kernel issue.
Builds are currently using CM's kernel. Try Ktoonsez's for the time being. Quite a few modifications and reverts between all the kernels lately. It'll take some time.

Downloaded, installed. Curious about red border when process starts. Feature or glitch?
Had same red border at random times, and could not get 360 security app to work. Other than that it runs pretty smooth, will report battery life after a few cycles.

The red border is a common bug is LTE phones. But it will be fixed in the next release. Stay tuned.

Unified build.
Sent from my SOKP powered Galaxy S 4 i9500.
Starting to test drive now. One thing to be aware of is that the Ultra Slim Gapps package recommended on this site does not include Google Now launcher. I had Google Now and Google Search backed up so was able to restore from Titanium. Interested to compare with C-Rom and SlimKat. Lots of features. Seems to be very well done.
Great ROM guys. Been using it all with no functional issues. I do also have the flashing red frame when I first installed the ROM. I originally used the inspired launcher and the flashing was really bad. Then I switched to the Nova launcher and its is not near as bad.its defiantly a daily driver. Again great job guys can't wait to see what's upcoming.
to fix the red border bug add the following lines to your build.prop using your favorite explorer:
persist.sys.strictmode.visual=0
persist.sys.strictmode.disable=1
Just noticed something. If the lock screen is rotated as the phone is on it's side. When you try to unlock the cursor will move backwards. ie left is right... Top will be bottom. Or am I just wacked for the day..anyone? Will just turn off rotation for lock screen.
Download is not workingggg, I want to test this out. Please send me the link.
Is there a Daydream function with this Rom? It's usually in the "Display & lights" setting, but I don't see it there.

So Far So Good!!
So far its running very solid. Cam and other items usually typically problematic seem to work well. Video playback of a movie off memory card is very smooth! I'm getting ready to head out of the house for awhile so I hope to see how the hand off from LTE to 3g, etc works. So far this is a killer rom! Good work!
Do you flash the sony apps after gapps or are the already included in the rom? Install instructions don't mention it.
Addon means which is not packed with ROM zip....[emoji6]

I'm experiencing the same thing on a clean flash. It only happens when I click something.
EDIT:
i managed to fix the problem. Using build prop editor, add the following 2 lines to your build prop:
persist.sys.strictmode.visual=0
persist.sys.strictmode.disable=1
then, reboot. The red bars will go away!

After a days worth of running this rom, its been very solid and is now the daily driver. It did take almost a day to "settle" in but is quick and doing well.
The LTE/4g handoff has worked flawlessly for me which is great. So far no loss of data.
I too get the red borders on my screen after a complete clean install. It seems to come up with there is a large load on the processor. Gmail was acting a bit wonky yesterday but seems to be smooth today.
Great job on the ROM!

Looks interesting. Flashed to give it a whirl and the first thing I see is a vertical line through the center of my display after the boot animation finished and it was loaded up. Everything on the right side of this line is slightly lower than on the left side, so anything in the center of the screen is misaligned.
There is no LG G3 forum on your site, and this wasn't listed in the FAQs that I could find, so I just posted it here.

That issue is not rom related, actually is about bootloader 20B.
Solutions:
Temporal: Just turn off-on screen.
Permanent: Flash other bootloader.

Derp. I was too busy messing with the options to turn off the screen. I'll try that ha-ha. Also I was on 20E bootstack when I flashed the first time just FYI.

On a fresh flash you only have to turn the screen in and off once and it should stay like that permanently. Only other time you have to do it again is if you flash the ROM again.

Giving the ROM a little test. Running well.
Probably the first ROM I've seen that doesn't allow me to add a menu button to the navbar (not counting the menu buttons that are/can be placed at left/right).
For long-press options there is no menu action either. Reckon I gotta get used to this.
Anyhind, only issue I've come across is that SlimActions crashes/closes whenever I attempt to access. Will provide more info when I can.

I must say, honestly, this ROM is running so smooth. Far as Slim-based ROMs go I may be sticking with this one for awhile.
493 DPI is a strange number but my old eyes can handle it. Really nice.

Great Rom
I have been using this ROM for a couple of days now, and I must say that I am really enjoying it
Thank you to developers. Keep up the good work!
Well, Ive kind of been unoffically asked to keep buildimng this rom. And it sounds like you guys seem to like it so I will. Ive got a new build going right now and should be up later today.
New build is up guys! Go and get it!
