Always-on screen for lollipop?? - Moto 360

I see this option in screenshots all over the internet, yet it's not in the options in my android wear app. My 360 is on 5.0.1, and my wear app is version 1.0.5.1630507.
Is there a newer wear app version or something? I've restarted my phone, and cleared the cache in the wear app and no joy.
Much better yet though, would be an option to INCREASE THE SCREEN TIMEOUT!!! How is this not an option yet?!?!?!
Come on Google - wake up!!
TIA!

Swipify has an always on option and a brightness slider .... When used with theater mode ...all is good

Thank you!! Well worth the $1.
I tried watch maker, but I couldn't find a nice watch face.
I seriously can't understand why Google hasn't added this feature by now. It's a no-brainer, and wear has been in development how long now?! It's mind bogglingly stupid.

Alarm functions??

Maybe I'm missing a setting, but there seems to be something wrong with setting alarms. If I set an alarm on my 360 it doesn't go off on the phone, and if I set an alarm on the phone it doesn't vibrate on the watch.
Is there something I need to set up??
TIA!

The watch and phone have different alarm systems. They are not connected to each other in any way. The alarm on the watch is embedded within the Android Wear OS clock itself. When you set it on your phone, it is embedded into the clock app specifically for your Android phone/tablet/whatever. Unless a developer creates an app which syncs alarms over both devices, they shall remain disconnected. Unless Google decides to change that with a newer version of Android Wear

Thanks for the reply! I can't believe what I'm reading... that should be like one of the DEFAULT features in Android wear. This OS is feeling more and more like a beta OS. >=/

Which has been pointed out in nearly every mention on any Android Wear device. The OS is a couple months old, of course there are improvements to be made.
I can't believe this either. I've not got a wear device yet so was invisaging managing my alarms with my watch. The fact that I won't be able to set alarms with the watch that I'll be able to hear is pretty disappointing, even if I did sleep with my watch on the vibration would never wake me up up making it pretty useless.

I know the OS is in its infancy, but that shouldn't be an improvement IMO, it's something that should have been working in 1.0. That's such an obvious feature to include...
We're talking about Google... they know a thing or two about OSes in general.

It's not that they disagree, they just rushed to get the OS out without including some common sense.

I have another issue on clock when I connect my Moto X Style (Android 5.1.1) to Moto 360 2nd gen (6.0.1).
When I set my clock on the phone, on the morning, the phone clock alarming, however, occasionally, the alarming was tuned off. But I never touched either the watch or the phone.
Is there anything wrong?

Evernote on Moto360

Is there any way to use Evernote instead of Google Keep as the default note taking app? I know some of you will hate on Evernote but I've been using it since before Google Keep came out and have all my devices synched to it so its just easier to keep using it.
I've read somewhere that you just launch Evernote from the watch launcher and say to use that as default or something but I have no idea how to launch an app from the watch directly (its not in my Wear Mini Launcher drawer).
Just got my watch today so still learning how to use it
Open Android Wear app. Scroll down to Take a Note and tap it once. Choose which app to use, Evernote or Keep.

Thank you, this is something I've already tried but I do not get Evernote as an option. Im using Nexus 4 running KitKat.
EDIT: I was being an idiot, I didn't know there was a separate Evernote for Android Wear app that I had to install. Did that and all working now. Cheers!

i tried that on my moto360 but it wasn't updated to support moto360 circular UI yet, the whole UI still not fit nicely on our watch yet

Wrist Gestures doesn't always work and why does the main watchface disappear?

Two very disappointing things. I got the mesh band watch and noticed right off the bat that the watch is very poor at recognizing wrist gestures. It does not show the main watch face unless the wrist is flicked strongly.
Is there any way to keep the main watchface on all the time instead of it being replaced when the watch is not being looked at? What's the point of these fancy watchfaces if they do not stay on?

1. I've heard gesture control is spotty on these things.
2. I think you're talking about ambient mode. It kicks in after 10-15 seconds to save power, otherwise, the screen will drain quite quickly. You can also tap the screen or use the button on the side to return to the normal watch face. I don't know of a way to disable this but I know I wouldn't want to.

Some 3rd-party watch faces offer options to disable the minimal ambient mode, so the "main" watch face is displayed all the time, even when the screen dims. This will definitely drain battery quicker though.

Since my OP, I've discovered Android Wear more and settled on the watchfaces: Ranger, Skymaster and Odyssey. I think those are the best watchfaces out there and it's disappointing that there aren't many well-designed watchfaces even after a year of Android Wear.

Apps on the watch

How do I erase the amount of apps on the watch. I have to scroll through a bunch of apps just to get to the settings app. Also I'm so tired of the moto fitness notifications....... How do I make it stop!

Delete the app from the phone. It'll be erased from the watch automatically.

1Weather does not seem to show up

I see comments about 1Weather being a good Weather app for Smartwatches, but I have it on my Note 4, and do not see it on my Zenwatch ( Android 6.0.1)
Any help with this?
I know this (Zenwatch) old, but I just got it last friday my first Smartwatch)
The only thing I can think of is you might try "Resync apps" in the Wear app on your phone. It takes a fair amount of time for it to sync them all over Bluetooth.
I tried that and nothing.
Does it show up as an app in your launcher?

I hadn't used it, but I just installed it to try it out, and no, it doesn't show up on my watch either. Here's a reddit post that indicates they may have removed Wear support: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/3tatgt/issue_with_1weather_and_other_apps/
