[Q] Market apps not installing

I just tried installing a new ROM and it came up fine. Then when I tried to install any app from the market, it would say download unsuccessful right away. However, if I go to the Android Market website and install an app from there, it downloads and installs on my phone no problem.
I've tried different ROMs, they have the same problem. I've tried different Google accounts, those work perfectly fine.
Any ideas?
Go to manage applications, select market, and clear data. Maybe try a different market, have you tried the new one?
Cleared data, no difference. Installed the new market, no difference. Still says this item could not be downloaded right after I try to download it, but it does it with everything on the market.
After Googling it real quick I found a couple things. Did you try clearing market cache? Force stop market and retry? Do you have Google talk and if so, have you tried signing in to it?

[Solved] Play Store Error 920; CM 10.2.

Really enjoying my (problem free) Nexus 7 2013, but stock Android has some missing features compared to CM10 that is on my phone. So last night I installed CM 10.2 (8/24), and 8/13 gapps for android 4.3. Also put in a custom kernel (bulletproof). Everything set up, and then part way through installing all my apps, google play stopped with a 920 error on all the rest of the apps, and refused to do anything more.
Redownloaded both CM 10 and gapps, erased, reflashed (no custom kernel this time), same error 920 partway through the downloads.
A new CM10.2 build (8/26) was available this morning, so downloaded that, redownloaded the gapps again, and flashed. Almost all of the apps got downloaded this time, although a few had an error 923 (manually downloaded those without additional issue right away). But right at the end of the auto downloads, the play store crashed (application unexpectedly closed), and when I went back to it, error 920s again.
Some research online lead to a few possibilities:

Cleared cache on play store and play services. No help.
Titanium Backup won't find my old backups, despite walking through the instructions at the CM10.2 thread. So I can't restore the Android ID as someone suggested.
At one point I completely removed my google account, the data in the play store app, the download manager, and play services. That worked, sort of - I could download apps without error 920, but it decided that all of my previously installed apps were installed from somewhere other than the play store, so to get them back to normal state required un/reinstalling all of them. I started over instead.

This has a very detailed fix, that involves installing an updated version of the play store and a different play account. But I was already on the latest version of the play store (tried installing the same apk over top, but it didn't make any difference), and the secondary google account worked to download things, but didn't fix the first one.

While writing this post, I saw the suggestion in the s3 thread to wipe cache / dalvik and repair permissions from recovery. Tried it as a last resort, and suddenly I have full functionality again. Not sure why that fixed it, when I had done those steps as part of the install, but there you go.
Thought I would go ahead and post this as fixed in case anyone else had the same issue. All the results I found searching for this problem were for other devices, or other errors for this device. Hopefully my story and link collection will be useful to someone else.
I just got my Nexus 7 (2013), "N7b" for short?, anyway, when I started it and I began downloading all my apps, it shipped about 50 with error 920. Then it started getting them all. After that it seemed episodic. For a while they would update, for a while they would error.
I also updated the apps on some of my other devices and was also getting an occasional error downloading the apps. So, i think this is a problem with google's server, not our apps or ROMs.
Works with GNex as well.

Thanks. This worked for me and my Galaxy Nexus after I clean flashed AOKP MR-1 Milestone 2, and got the errors as my apps were downloading again.
Worked for Galaxy Tab 2!
This also worked for my Galaxy Tab 2 running CM10.2. Thanks for the post.

[Q] Cannot download playstore or apps after CM 10.2.1 upgrade

I upgraded CyanogenMod to 10.2.1 and had problems getting my phone back working, But I finally did with help from DocHolliday77. They problem I have now is, I no longer have Google Play store nor can I download it or any other apps back to my S3. I have tried downloaded GooManger both via the playstore website with my phone plugged in and via my phone thru the website. On the playstore it shows that the app has been installed to my phone, but it isn't there. When I search for my device via the playstore Android device manager it can not find my device even, though I have location services turned on.
Also I have all my old apps (before update) installed on my SD Card & I see them listed, but I can not get to them to re-install from the card. I tried going thru ClockWorkMod Recovery & it doesn't find any apps, only the backup I did after the update download.
Another problem is I can not figure out how to resync my contacts or calendar via gmail. There is no sync button available on my device that I can find.
Running CyanogenMod 10.2.1 on Samsung Galaxy S3
Thanks for any help, suggestions, etc. I have also tried to find answers on YouTube vids.
Did you flash CM GAPPS ?

CM11 + Latest GApps, Play Store Crashes

So i am at a bit of a problem here and i cant figure it out.
I have installed both CM11 from 04/24/14, and tried the 4/08/14 Experimental build, both with the latest GApps zip file for CM11 from
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
The install seems to go fine, CM11 works, i can get wifi, connect to google account, gmail, internet, hangouts everything works..
Except Play Store...it crashes every time. Ive tried everything i can think of, those things include
Run the installed one from Gapps, it starts and i can see the initial disclaimer i have to accept then it crashes.
Download Google Play store apk and push it via ADB install, doesnt load.
Use GAppManager, the instant i select a version of GApps to install it crashes.
Try flashing an earlier version of GApps(For ICS) from KFFAide, doesnt work..
Go into Apps, find Google Play store that comes from the flashed GApps and clear its cache...
Ive tried flashing just CM11, booting it, then going back into TWRP and flashing GApps
Tried clearing dalvik/system and every other TWRP wipe except internal
Im really out of ideas...any help would be great nothing i do seems to do it...
I also tried flashing back to a version of 10.2 Experimental for KF HD but it just fails immediately when i try.

Try the GAPPS from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 find which ones you want to use and then choose goo as the download place. Then get a slightly older Gapps. I'm using a set from 1-23-2014 and have had zero issues. They will update anyway so having today's 0 day Gapps is not a huge deal. If you want mini Gapps, here is the link http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps-mini/older versions

I've been using the latest GApps ("stock" experience) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 and it works great. It will error out some apps the first time with a notification that you must update Google Play Services to continue. Sign in and update Google Play Services through the store and everything works like a champ.
A bonus of using the PA GApps package (if you want all those apps at all) is that they install to /system and don't use up as much /data space. Maybe not an issue for many, but every little bit helps right?
Keep in mind that the "stock" (i.e. Nexus-esque) package will remove the AOSP Browser, Messaging, and Keyboard. As long as you're good with Chrome, Hangouts, and Google Keyboard, this (again) saves you storage. If you prefer the AOSP apps, read the thread for how to keep them or install one of the other packages from the thread.
It turns out the issue is unrelated to Google apps, ANY application i use and try to download with will crash.
Try to grab an attachment from Gmail, crash
Try to download a file via Chrome, crash
Try to download via Play store, crash
I have no idea what the hell is causing this ive checked my Download and Downloader apps they are both running, ive tried restarting them, disabling them, and many other things...
At this point how do i return my Kindle to a "Stock" Kindle Fire HD as if i bought it from the store?
I may need to return it, im wondering if this is a hardware issue? Doesnt make sense though because everything else seems to work, i can go view internet stuff so the wifi isnt bad, and i can copy files to it via USB so the storage isnt bad...

Try flashing a slightly older KitKat Gapps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579123 If you want to go stock then use the system restore tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011126 Use the stock USB cord.
Edit: Edited for link to 8.9 restore tool and further corrections.

googleplay services keeps crashing

hello
I'm having trouble setting up my tab s.
After a factory reset, everytime I try to log in to my google account, google play services crashes and I can't setup my tablet.
Any ideas? I tried downloading the latest playstore apk, but no dice..
Thanks
Keep us posted cause I had the exact same problem. I factory reset and the Google stuff won't even pop up. I try to log into the play store and Google services crashes. I even flashed a fresh install with odin and the same thing happens. I did get it to work after updating with a ota. As soon as I did all the Google stuff was fine. I also have a back up so I rooted and and restored from the backup with flashier. I've searched and tried so many things and nothing else seemed to work.
