Can anyone Add/unlock all global 4G LTE bands in HTC Desire 820 Dual Sim phone?
Currently it supports only LTE FDD 1, 3, 7, 8 and TDD 38, 39, 40, 41 bands. So this phone can work in Asia and Europe but not in USA 4G network (e.g. AT&T or T-Mobile).
To work seamlessly in USA 4G network, the phone needs atleast the following extra 4G LTE bands:-
LTE FDD : 2, 4, 12, 20, 26
LTE TDD : 42
So can anyone add these LTE FDD : 2, 4, 12, 20, 26 and LTE TDD : 42 bands to this HTC Desire 820 Dual Sim phone ????

I purchased an HTC Desire 820 Dual Sim in Hong Kong last week. I used it in China on China Mobile 4G without any problems. Returned to the USA yesterday and can not get 4G to work on StraightTalk (AT&T). I had an HTC M8 (Hong Kong version) before the Desire 820 with the same SIM card and APN settings, 4G was working fine. I bought the Desire 820 because it showed support for the same 4G bands as the M8. I tried downloading the "Network Mode" app above and that didn't do anything.
Thoughts???
So I'm guessing nobody has used a Desire 820 Dual SIM on any USA 4G network?
My d820u dual sim connects to us straight talk and show H+. Never saw 4g icon. I purchased mine in Taipei.

I get the same H+ connection but no 4G on straight talk (AT&T). What I find strange is that the Desire 820 Dual SIM supports the same bands as my previous One M8 which worked on 4G just fine. While shopping in Hong Kong, I looked at every dual SIM phone on the market and compared network support. The reason I chose the Desire 820 was my impression that I would have 4G in China & the USA. The hardware is there, but something is wrong with the software on the phone. Unfortunately, this is not a popular phone, so I doubt we're going to get many technical people looking into the issue.
Bump... Love the phone but the lack of 4G when you know the hardware can do it frustrating. Anyone have some ideas?

The only reason I see is that the LTE band StraightTalk uses is not supported by your phone model. The One M8 worked because it supported a heck lot of bands. Most mid-range phones will have problems in the US if you do not buy from the US.
As for the references you have given, they are for Sony devices and the Galaxy S5 respectively........They are not guaranteed to work on this phone, you may try it, but you could risk a broken radio. I believe there was a generic guide for this somewhere for Qualcomm devices, it was featured in the XDA portal. You may find it with a little digging
EDIT: Turns out someone was able to get bands on the Verizon HTC One M8 with the method posted in the Galaxy S5 forum, so it might be worth a shot. But it isn't an easy process

As far as I can tell, the M8 does not support more bands than the Desire 820, in fact, the 820 actually supports more bands than the M8.
Thanks for the advice, not sure I'm up for losing 3 days of my life trying to learn and hack the Desire into working.

I too need a phone that supports USA LTE frequencies dual SIM? Any luck with this? I have not found 1 phone that can do Asian LTE and USA LTE with dual active SIM functions i.e. 4G + 4G at same time.

I am using it in Asia and LTE B3, B7 are the only ones available

It is a big problem for me also, since I have been in USA for some time now working, and now I am going back home to Croatia.
I read the same thing about N910A LTE bands on Samsung website, and then went to AT&T official website to international coverage troubleshoot and there it sad that note 4 should work in my home country on GSM/3G/LTE without any problems.
This is what they show about note 4 on their international troubleshoot:
NETWORK
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
- UMTS/HSPA+ 850/1900/2100
- LTE Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29
I want a phone that works in US (T-Mobile LTE band 4 1700/2100) as well as Europe.
It seems there are only 2 Lg G5 Dual Sim models:

Ignore the bands shown on the LG site and by "most" sites which get their information from the LG site.
The LG site ONLY shows bands that are OFFICIALLY Supported by that region, NOT which the phone supports via hardware.
These phones also support WCDMA even though many pages selling these phones say "GSM only, no CDMA". Unless WCDMA and CDMA are not the same thing...

So that does that mean that this phone ( G710EAW are LTE B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41) will work with Tmobile USA?

Thanks for the info, can you so confirm that buying the EAW will have active by default all these bands? I hear that they are deactivated by the specific software.....

WCDMA and CDMA are not exactly the same.
I'm having doubts but c'mon! Apple has had it for the last two generations! Still an esim, but so what?
Having two numbers on one phone rocks! I know the international versions do it but when one of the numbers is on Verizon, that idea goes out the window.

I read the US version is single esim. The F will be dual sim but will miss key US bands (again). It remains to be seen if it will have the right 5G bands for the US. It’s very annoying when apple phones have all the bands.
There is something not clear for now. In Europe, the Ultra is dual nano sim AND eSim compatible. Does it means we have 3 phone numbers?

I doubt that what you've mentioned is true. Actually what most of the dealers are saying is that most of the regions will receive a hybrid sim + e-sim version. Meaning an e-sim with a hybrid slot (either adding a nano sim or a micro sd card).
But the good news is that I've bumped into a dealer on ebay selling a dual physical sim version, so actually it will be available but for selected regions.
I really don't understand their policy, the e-sim support is still not supported globally.
My guess is that they just don't want to miss something the iPhone has in their phone.
Does anyone know if the international dial sim has the right 5G bands for AT&T in the US? All the F versions of Samsung phones miss band 30, and I’m wondering if the addition of 5G will make it not matter that band 30 isn’t included. Anyone know?
Spec sheet on Best Buy website shows Exynos. That is weird! That may be dual hybrid sim (where you put in the second sim where the microsd goes).

I prefer the 865 over Exynos just based on past issues with performance and battery life. I'm over the rooting phase so not worried about it any more TBH.

Based on this comparison spec sheet from Techwalls, it doesn’t look like there will be an international dual sim model that will support the same 5G bands as the US models (sub 6ghz, mid band, mmwave). Maybe the SM-G9880 SM-G9888 Asian versions will have dual sim even though there’s no DS on the model # (hoping).

Search Techwalls.com Samsung Ultra 5G for more models (sorry, new user and can’t post a url yet).
I am pretty sure you will not see any US 5G bands on Exynos models So if you want 5G in US, you will need to get Snapdragon S20 . Also Samsung likely caved in to US carriers yet again and disabled eSIM support in US Snapdragon models. There is a CNET article that states eSIM support will be enabled in a future update but US carriers will likely disable it.
Does anyone know if the OnePlus 7T T-Mobile (HD1907) is going to be usable in Europe if unlocked? I attach the relevant T-Mobile App screenshots to this post.
I tried to look it up on the internet when it comes to supported frequencies. But the www.frequencycheck.com does not list the T-Mobile (HD1907) version.

All in all when it comes to supported frequencies, it looks like it will be fine.
My main concern is if unlocked T-Mobile variant will like my European SIM card and the double SIM tray.

yes, the hd1905 and hd1907 support the most bands out of any 7t variant. The tmobile firmware may potentially be lacking some ims support though (eg tmo firmware is missing visible wireless ims support, but that's domestic), but you're not likely to run into any issues.
I don't have my old dump handy to compare profiles, but if you wanted to be certain you'll have maximum support, consider flashing the global firmware.

Well, I have a 1907, unlocked from the factory, everything works, except for the volte, although my provider connects to band 28, it does not connect to volte and my provider uses that network to provide its services
Yep, everything works fine, I buy dual sim tray on aliexpress, and second sim card works too
