Hi....try this way.:
-make twrp backup of your 512 (just in case)
-copy to sd card b708 (NON OFFICIAL, only ROM that can be flashable via TWRP-ex.this one)
-in TWRP go to advanced wipe and wipe: dalvik cache, data, system, cache, custom storage)
- from twrp install b708.......if stuck when reboot on huawei logo more than 15min...don't worry...just flash one more time from twrp, but this time install direct, without wiping anything.
This method works with b707. Answer me if worked with PM. Good Luck!

I agree with arnoudasmit; it's not a problem with counter reset after an update; I see that there isn't the possibility to set the first day of month since to count data traffic (in settings). Can someone help us to activate it? Thanks!

Hi, I've installed b708 and i had b512 too... i think it's the safest way:
first root you're P06, search for "Root p6 + kitkat" in google... then install TWRP 2.8.1.0 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709353
then you can easily flash this b708 EMUI 3.0 through tutorial and enjoy it

which ROM are you trying to install? If it is a stock (official) ROM ...install it via original stock recovery.......if it is a custom ROM (like this one) it is already rooted.
How to install custom rom via twrp? ...
copy custom ROM to sd card
enter into twrp recovery
click on wipe-advanced wipe and select: dalvik cache, data, system, cache, custom storage....leave unselected the rest (internal, external storage, usb-otg...DO NOT SELECT EXTERNAL STORAGE ...THERE IS YOUR ROM LOCATED)
swipe to wipe....go back to home twrp screen
click on install ....on top if it's internal storage-change to external storage (sd card with your ROM) ...
find your rom (usually on the bottom of the list) and select it..
swipe to install....wait ....done...twrp will not ask you for root because it's already rooted.

*EDIT* I have changed my mind. I have taken a long time to setup my phone to be the way it is now and don't want to risk having to flash stock firmware again in order to fix a soft bricked phone, not that it usually worries me, it's just annoying trying to get everything perfect again (I don't rely on nandroid backups as even they aren't perfect_

I have been doing this for many years. I have goten to points of soft bricking where recovery is impossible to get in to and where I needed to enter download/bootloader modes. The only way to restore a nandroid is if I have backed it up to my computer beforehand, flashed a firmware in download/bootloader mode then re-root/unlock and flash a recovery again, transfer the nandroid to my device and hope the data has not been corrupted during the process between phone and computer. I have actually needed to do this several times and more than once the nandroid was not restorable.
MIUI V5

I ended up flashing LEWA OS. Very fast and everything seems to be working fine for me. GPS is working better for me now than on stock, camera and HDR mode are great, speed is good. Wifi and Data is working flawlessly. Beautiful lockscreen and UI. All of the theming options seem to be working as well (for those familiar with MIUI etc.) The rom has a lot of visual tweaking and you can even kill the current running app by long pressing the back button *note* it does work, you just need to hold it for longer. You can also swipe in between the notifications and the switches tabs anywhere on the screen
The first time I flashed this it would not pass the boot animation. I ended up flashing B907 again and then running the bootloader unlock again (regardless of if I needed to or not) and then flashed the rom again. Step 1. Copy the LEWA rom zip and Gapps to your phone, then reboot in to recovery. 2. In TWRP; do an advanced wipe "cache, dalv, system, data" and then go to install and find the rom and install it. 3. reboot and make sure the rom loads all the way (do not bother setting up google account yet), once this happens reboot in to recovery again by holding power button and selecting reboot>recovery (inside of the rom this option is available), once you are there please install Gapps with TWRP, then reboot and enjoy.

If you look in the first post of my thread, you will see that MIUI is already listed but from a different download area and from a different author. If you scroll down you will actually find the file for Ascend Mate. I will tell you now though, the file name is the same as the P6 so I am assuming it is the same or they have used the P6 file and tweaked it. I am going to look at both files and give it a shot at running them today.
This is the file provided under the Huawei Ascend Mate

Makes no difference what ROM you are currently on, as long as you have TWRP installed. Just follow Installation instructions in OP.
Please give precise install instructions. After clean flash on JB TWRP (wipe everything except internal and external, then flash), I'm stuck on the Huawei Ascend logo.

Like I said in first post I flashed with KK TWRP, I don't think it makes difference. If you are downgrading from KK ROM see my post above, you need to flash that small update.app first.
As you know MIUI is based on P6-U06V100R001C17B120. I flashed LeWa from MIUI.
I did the same steps as you, but immediately after flash I wiped dalvik and cache again.
I have a question. Does it have a home screen lock function? like Go Launcher Ex, where you can lock your home screen, to prevent any unwanted changes to the installation, or in some ROM case, accidental uninstallations of apps.

Yep, but also you must edit your OP ( first post ) to look like other custom rom thread !
You must have a dedicated section for : Changelog, Downloads, Installations, Credit and so on .... You can inspire from other posts already made !
As you posted you now, can not be placed in the section of Android P6 Development, because it does not meet these conditions .
Thanks for sharing! Installed, and it works!
For those who don't know how to install, you can add this to OP:
INSTRUCTIONS
-Make sure you are on a stock JB ROM
-Install CWM using Xuefy's recovery installer (translation)
-Download MIUI
-Make sure it's on your EXTERNAL SD CARD
-Reboot into CWM
-Factory reset
-Flash MIUI from your external SD card
-Factory reset (or else you will get stuck on MIUI logo)
-Reboot system
-Flash TWRP for JB
-Download LeWa OS 5.1 & JB GApps
-Reboot into TWRP
-Go to wipe -> advanced
-Wipe everything except for internal and external
-Go to install
-Select LeWa OS
-Add zip to que
-Select JB GApps
-Install
-Wipe cache and dalvik
-Reboot
Settings will crash when trying to add a google account on boot, so skip it, and add it in settings!
Enjoy ^^

Okay, so I found a big issue (at least for me)
The Play Store won't update or install anything! Every app always gets stuck on the same percentage (Play Music always gets stuck at 100%, Google Search at 58% etc.). Clearing app cache, app data, removing and re-adding google account, even reinstalling GApps or trying another package all didn't work for me, and resulted in the exact same outcome. So for now I'm going to need to go back to another ROM

There is no need to flash MIUI.
I don't use Google account so Play store issues don't bother me. But apparently there are some simple solutions for Play store, search here at XDA if you like this ROM.

I'm not sure you get my question. Let me rephrase that. Perhaps I should use the word 'desktop' as some ROM called it, where all the apps and widgets are mostly. Where you tap and hold to move the app shortcut or edit widget around. The Go Launcher EX has a function to lock this 'desktop' so that no editing can be done.

I knew there was simple solution to Play store getting stuck at 100% download. It may not be acceptable solution but it works. All you have to do is exit Play store, while it shows 100% downloaded, reboot and the app you were downloading will install when phone is rebooted. Weird.

Yes, but installing B118 or B120 stock may brick your phone, while MIUI can be flashed from B125, which is 100% safe
Google Play issue is really annoying for me. If you don't use Play, what app store do you use?

I don't use Google for few reasons, one of them is that Google services are consuming too much battery.
Here is a tip to save lot of battery if you are using Gapps:
Use Disable service app to disable some Google services, main culprit is Gtalk service which you absolutely don't need if you don't use Hangouts.
And for apps Mobogenie has everything I need.

Bootloop
Hello,
I have downloaded the Jellybean version of Pimpdroid for my Tab 3 10.1 and placed it in my SD card. However, when I flashed it through Philz recovery (I cleared the data, system, cache and Dalvik cache) I get stuck in a bootloop so I simply restore it from my backup. I then try again. Bootloop. I would like to know how to rectify this as I love the work done to this ROM.

I tried doing that with a clean flash but now after i flashed it, my tab reboots and then reboots into recovery.
UPDATE: I managed to flash the rom by flashing the first build which worked and then dirty flashing the latest build over it.
I'm having problems with X multi-window. It's asking me whether I want to put the application on the left or right but only folks the entire screen. It never splits.
Any ideas?

Go into Settings... Sound and you'll see the setting to turn off Touch Sounds. I hate that as well.
Il turned it off 5 minutes after I installed this rom, but I want it to be on with a less annoying sound.

I can tell u the method but I think you'll find it very difficult to do it.....
If u want that method write it up here.....
Sur, I think it must be a .wav file somewhere, I can copy the stock sound it place of that .wav, just need to know the path of each of this files.
Helo,
i have bevor Pimpdroid installed have the Bindroid. After installing Pimpdroid i have 2x Bootloop and than going into Recovery.
I have do all right.
But the problem is, i cant install Stock or another ROM after the experience with Pimpdroid. I can do what i want, i get ever 2x Bootloop an the P5210 (wifi) going into Recoverymode.
I tryed another Recovery, have now TRWT installed, but its no better... ok this recovery is 1000x better than CWM, but not for my problem.
So i have try all and now i search the way to install the "stock recovery" or another way the rom install with odin, how i make from zip an tar.md5 file? I see by another user the have the stock rom in tar.md5 and i found only stockrom in zip format?
PS: I havent installed the Beta4, because the developer writed that is not work, i have installed beta3 and after that not worket i have try beta 2,1 and the old 2.5 an than every stock rom than i got.

Status 7
I've done some Google-fu and I still can't figure this one out.
I've done everything I can tell correctly, cleared everything, rooted, put the ROM on my root. I boot into Philz, go into install zip, start the installation and it goes through "installing update". After a short while a message pops up saying "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed" and it then says that there's a Status 7 error.
After looking up Status 7 it says that it's usually a check that catches if you're not using the same model number that the ROM is for, but I clearly am as it's for the p5210 and I have the p5210. What am I doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated!

Mate 7
Is this working on Ascend Mate 7 too?
Heavy battery usage under mediaserver [under battery option]
Hi , I can see heavy battery usage in setting->battery->mediaserver [35%-52%] , Does anybody faced same problem .
I think I bricked my Huawei Ascend Mate phone (MT-06)
Hi guys, I think I bricked my Huawei Ascend Mate phone (MT-06) and im looking for some help on how to unbrick it. I wanted to install a HYD52ROM V5 rom on my phone and I followed the instructions :-
1. Download Latest HYD52ROM
2. Install TWRP Or CWM Recovery
3. Wipe Factory Reset
4. Install HYD52ROM-HAM-V5.zip
5. Install Gapps
Goo.im Link For Gapps : Link
6. Wipe Cache Dalvik
7.Reboot.
I used TWRP as outlined above and everything went well. After rebooting the phone got stuck on the HYD52ROM V5 log and stayed like that for about an hour. So I thought something went wrong so got back to the recovery and I did a system, cache, custom storage wipe. When I tried to flash the rom again, I got this error, “Unable to open zip ”. So I then tried another custom rom and still got the same message. I tried all the zip I could download and still, I got the same error.
I tried to go back to the stock recovery so that I would use the dload method. Everything checked ok, until it got to the system, and then a big fail. I then tried to flash the system image via fastboot, and again everything installed ok, but when I flash the system image, I get an error.
Now im really stuck don’t know where to go. Is there anybody out there who can help me
Try erasing system, data, cache through fastboot and then reflashing .img files again.

Hi thanks for your response. If you mean reflashing via fastboot, im still getting the same error message. Im told its because the system image is too big to be stored in the R.A.M during installation. The solution would be to split the image into sparse chunk files, but the problem is how do i do that
Sry but im not familiar with that procedure.

[RECOVERY] [MULTILANGUAGE] TWRP for Huawei Mate 8 **UPDATE 5/22/16**

Here is TWRP for the Mate 8. You must have an unlocked bootloader to flash this. After you flash this then you can root by flashing SuperSU after booting into TWRP. When installing a ROM for the first time you must go into TWRP and go to Wipe, then Format Data and do a format or else your internal storage will not be recognized.

TWRP 2.8.7.0:

Changelogs:
4-05-16: Updated to TWRP 3.0.2 Multi Language and changed some colors. Now TWRP will tell you if your internal storage is encrypted.
4-06-16: Added dark TWRP. Bug: when installing a rom the progress bar doesn't show anything. Don't worry, it still works.
4-09-16: Progress bar partially working in the Black & Blue version
5-06-16: TWRP for EMUI 4.1. Multilanguage. You can now mount through TWRP and copy files from your computer to the phone. Default language set to English. Blue themed.
5-22-16: Added themed TWRP Black & Blue to the OP. Based off of the latest twrp.
**On first screen tap the right most button, second from the bottom (Settings) then tap on the globe icon at the top right and choose your language. Then it will stay in that language**
** When formatting data in TWRP after updating to B321 it will take about ten minutes. Let it finish**
thx for posting this, much appreciated
one of the bugs ive found with the mate 8 version is that the screen brightness cant really be adjusted. at some point it goes pretty dark and then just stay that way. a bit annoying but u can still work properly with it btw, the twrp themes from xda work like a charm

On my Mate 8 in TWRP I cannot mount or backup data no matter what I try. Do you have the same issue? I think we need a better build of TWRP. I'm in the process of making a stock debloated ROM but the TWRP problems are driving me crazy. EDIT: Going to Wipe, Advanced Wipe and Format Data fixed the issue. Now I can install from the internal memory and my data partition is working in TWRP.
oh i thought that had smth to do with the data partition being encrypted. i had the same issue but once ive installed the decrypted boot.img i could properly access the data partition in twrp....weird huh?

Me too, but doing that seems to fix the problem any time TWRP doesn't see my Internal Storage. The brightness bug is an issue although not a major one. It seems that after you let the screen time out then turn it back on the brightness is a lot higher.
ha nice one, didnt notice that since i usually switch off the screen timeout option yeah, all in all its definitely in working condition! no major bugs one cant work out currently. and im sure itll get better in time

Thx for TWRP but can someone explain me how to unlock the bootloader on my mate 8?
use the tool dc unlocker in order to read out the bootloader code for your specific device. ull need to pay 4€ to use that function, everything else is explained in detail on the website and in the tool itself for huawei phones.

Ok, i will try it when I'm back at home. But will it work, when the twrp can't mount anything? I tried to wipe dalvik and cache, fix permission nothing worked. Mounting didn't work too. Get only red text that isn't possible. It's my first Huawei device, have it since Saturday and now this problem

i had the same problem initially. u have to flash a decrypted boot image first, then mounting is possible and the bootloop is resolved

Where can i find the decrypted boot image, so many questions starting from scratch with Huawei, is other than samsung.
Edit: ok, read in another thread where to get the decrypted boot image.

I'm working on a custom ROM for the Mate 8 with the Google Apps installed, decrypted boot and rooted. I'm just trying to fix a few bugs. If I can fix them a Simply Google release will be near.

Back up your internal storage to your computer and try this. In TWRP go to wipe, then Advanced Wipe and Format Data. Type in Yes. Tell me if after you do that if TWRP sees the Internal Storage properly. No matter what I did TWRP would not see my internal storage until I did that.
