I've searched all the internet how to solved IMEI 0049.... problem but i can't find anything about it (exept pay or buy Z3X Box).
Someone can help me please ? And who is this idio* who has created CWM with format/factory ? And Why ?

I have heard about this EFS and how things get Nasty when IMEI gets corrupt in samsung phones . So Can anybody write a simple steps for me to backing up EFS and restoring it if ever necessary ?

Another thing i have forgot to mention is i am unable to find a Folder called EFS in my / . There is a Folder called Factory which has all ther NV data files.

I've Installed some days ago a custom rom.
Everything is working fine, but I've seen that my IMEI is changed with generic 00499901064000
even MAC ADRESS is not availlable.
But it seems that everyting is working fine.
Now, I don't rember if I've a EFS backup.
There is a way to rebuild or recover it? (either with that without EFS backup. (I've cell box with IMEI shown)
I've seen that I've a taz file of EFS backup in my SD folder, but it is only 85 byte large.

Bro Goto Your data/radio Folder & Delete nv_data.bin ,nv_data.bin.md5 & Then Goto Factroy Folder & Copy only [ nv_data.bin ] To data/radio Folder & Restart Your Phone Thats it....

What happened?why do you need the efs folder?
There is no efs file. There's an efs partition, but the only useful stuff it contains are the WiFi and Bluetooth mac addresses.
Did you wiped the efs files?if yes why and how?
yes i wiped in odin efs can some give me the efs folder pleas i need this When i opne my phone than comes the factory mod is off message can please some give me the efs folder

Sorry but...the efs contains imei and other codes.you can try to repair imei but the app that you should to use isn't free http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7554
i `ve corrupted my efs partition which has completely erased my IMEI and SN.
I have looked everywhere on the internet for a free solution but no luck, the only programs i`ve found are all paid software(Z3X & octopus).
My last hope is that someone on xda could help me restore my efs partition.:crying:
