[Q] Device not responsing, red LED not showing charging process - HTC One X

Hello everyone.
Friend of mine had a hox with stock rom. He got strange reboots on low battery(known issue). Thats why he wanted to install a custom rom. Unlocking bootloader was successful and then he stuck. He was able to boot to bootloader etc. But somehow after unlocking the device was in htc bootloop. As far as I know, he brought this device to me after this fail, as i got more experience with hox.
So.. after spending half of the day with that device(I was trying to turn it on into bootloader) this is what i got:
Device is not reacting on any of my actions, f.e:
Volume Down + Power
Volume Up + Power
Volupe Up + Down + Power (holding about 3 mins)
The red LED is not turning on or blinking after connecting the cable. Tried to connect the device to notebook, another notebook, wall charger and car charger .
Seems like device is dead
So, my question is: Is it possible to boot this device in bootloader? Thank you in advance for helpful posts.

Ty for the reply. Currently I am trying to charge it with the wall charger for some days. After I'll try that out.

Charging with the wall charger for 5 days brought nothing. Does anyone got a clue what could been happen to the device? Currently I have disassemled the device. What and where should I look for?

Currently i`m waiting for a new battery. After disassembling I`ve just measured the voltage of the battery and it was 0... So I`ll try with a new one and will reply here

Issue with Sony Xperia M4 aqua

Hello guys!
Yesterday I wanted to root my phone following these instructions (sorry link can't be posted due to I'm just a newbie here) but post was on "dottech dot org".
I did everything that was necessary for preparing the phone, however I stucked at step 8.
I flashed the original .128 firmware to my phone, and when I powered it on, I was delighted. When I realized that it won't boot at all, I got an idea, simply to wait. I waited over 20 minutes, nothing happened, stuck on T-mobile logo. For the rest of the time I left it on charger, and unfortunately I am unable to power it off since it has built-in battery.... I tried to power off by long pressing power button, nothing happened. I tried again to flash it, but when it asks me to plug the phone to the usb in case to get in flashmode, it says battery has to charge, so it's discharged... I plug it to charger one more time, but as soon as it gets enough power, it tries to start itself, and I can't power it off...
It gets really hot at the back panel, and as it discharges, everything is happening again....
Please help me to get back my phone working!
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Hard bricked my M8 (help appreciated)

Hello,
Ill tell you a short story how I got this phone bricked.
So i got a OTA update to 6.0.1 (as I remember) and the phone started acting crazy. "system UI stopped working" message showed up once an hour and after that phone reboots. I got tired of my phone rebooting all the time so Ive decided to root it and install a custom ROM. Ive successfully rooted it, instelled TWRP and flashed a HTC M8 google play eddition rom on my phone. Everything was smooth except that it didnt recognize the SIM card and (again) it kept rebooting once an hour out of nowhere (this time the restart was immediate. No "system UI has stopped" message appeared). So i flashed another rom.. (silly me). I flashed a M8 HD Revolution rom because it was the most popular one and I thought it will fix all my problems. I flashed it successfully, the phone booted, it started optimizing apps and then shut down. I tried to turn it on again, it started optimizing apps again and after it finished optimizing ir shut down again. And that was the last time I saw my phone atleast trying to boot.
After all that I tried all the button combinations (vol up + power, vol down + power, vol up + vol down + power), Ive red alot and tried the same combinations with different timing. IT WONT BOOT INTO BOOTLOADER. adb and fastboot commands does not work also. When I connect my phone to a pc i was able to hear a windows connection sound, after 5-10 secs i hear a disconnect sound, after 5 secs it connects again, and disconects again ang again and again.... I managed to screen shot my device manager screen and saw Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 in the device list appearing and disappearing every 10 secs. I googled it and found some info that I might have hard bricked my htc. I didnt have much time at that moment to dive into the ocean of information and decided to leave my phone connected to a charger overnight. NOW my phone is dead (100%). No flashing lights, no *connected/disconnected to a pc* sound, the screen is black, it wont turn on - no signs of life..
Is there anything that I can do? (the warranty is voided)
Could it be that the battery was damaged and it was the issue of my phone restarting all the time?
Any help will be much appreciated
*dont mind my english*
Are you s-on or off? Its very hard to brick this device flashing ROMs with s-on.
Try leaving the phone on charger for a few hours, then hold power+vol up for a minute or so. Most folks don't realize you have to hold the buttons for so long in this "no boot" condition, and start to freak out. I've done it myself!

Now Im using a new power cable to charge the device but still, no signs of life.

I left my phone to charge overnight and the LED light came on (Its a really good sign). At first it was flashing orange, later it was only orange and now its green, so that means that my battery was fully drained. However, I tried holdin power + vol up for atleast 3-4 minutes but nothing happened except that the LED light is not greeen nor orange anymore. If I connect my phone to a pc, in the device manager "Qualcomm HS-usb qdloader 9008" shows up for 20-30 seconds and dissapears, after few secs it reappears again and so on. I was looking for a solution for a few hours and I think I found a decent tutorial how to unbrick it but Im not able to find neccesary firmware for my phone because I dont know my CID (link: http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/). Any other ideas?
BTW, thank you very much for trying to help
I've never seen these "unbricking" guides work on this device. If you can't get to at least bootloader, you are probably looking at JTAG, new motherboard, or new phone.
Really, your best bet is to keep playing with the button combos with the charger attached and unattached.

The issue is that you flashed a ROM with just 5% battery. The general advice is to flash with 70 or 80% battery at least. That will allow a couple of bootloops at least.
Try the Hard Brick thread.

Htc one m8 Orange led flashing ,No booting, No charging ,Not recognized on pc

Hello Recently i purchased an Htc one m8 from ebay and i cannot get it to charge or power up ..
When Connected on wall charge with different cables it gives a some minutes flashing from the upper orange Led and that's it.
When connect through Pc its not recognized only the qualcomm driver is shown on the devices but i cannot do nothing.
I've tried recalibrating the battery it doesnt seem to work.
I did the Power + Vol up and Vol Down combinations it doesnt seem to work either.
I changed the charging port with a working one its the same.
Next step i will go with a new battery but before that i want check if its software problem because im lazy change the battery if i dont have to.
Ps. there is a possibility the phone is bricked
Does someone know or have the patient to explain how to flash a stock rom or something like that
Thank you
:fingers-crossed: :good:

Revive (soft?/hard?) bricked phone?

Hi xda, my loved Mi Mix 2 suddenly stopped working :-(
Maybe someone can help me?
My phone was charging over night (turned on), in the morning it was in boot screen.
And now i can't get it to work anymore.
Situation:
Bootloader unlocked
TWRP installed
CFW installed (used it for 2 weeks or so)
Hotkey for fastboot not working (Power + vol down)
Hotkey for recovery not working (Power + vol up)
Phone stuck in boot screen (Mix + powered by android)
Charging LED working
Phone charges
Anywone has an idea how i can revive my phone?
The problem is, that i can access no fastboot and no recovery.
Thank you very much for your help!
Try teardown the phone and replug battery connector and see if that fixed . Could be motherboard failure too
