Hey all
The Asus ZenPhone Zoom offers similar specifications to the ZenPhone 2, but with a beefed up camera offering 3x optical zoom. Is this enough for our members to pay the premium?

Asus website lists the zoom's aperture at f/2.7 - f/4.8 for variable aperture. I wonder what the sensor size is?

No hdmi,or ir deal breaker in my book.. The specs are off the chart why slack on the essentials..

very interesting from ASUS, loving both zenphone2 and the zoom(more towards the zoom for the juicy cam it got)...
screen looks good enough
speakers well... look traditional which is very boring.. expecting tiny low sound from them
cpu is new and thats fresh.. hope its not a battery hog when pushed hard enough
i have never dealt with the company in any way...
any users out there wanna give a few pointers as to how they operate in regards to their smartphones and firmware?
coming from a dead lg g2, currently on a sony Z3 and hating it to the fullest (except for its 3000mAh batt and SOT)
plans were to wait for the lg g4 but this is intriguing.. price is right, need to test 1 before confirming anything but the launch is a bit late for the competition

Sorry for off topic but can you elaborate on the Z3 hating? I was thinking about getting one of those.

well TBH... its working good and nothing bad really with the factory rom.
some signal issues where its having a hard time staying on 4g-LTE compared to LG-g2 and galaxy s5.. even on 3g it would drop to 2g when those 2 would have a strong 3g connection
connection speed is good when it feels like it but feels like its being throttled when you have a few apps using the internet at the same time.. for example i have 2 bbm apps running at the same time, whatsapp, instagram, snapchat...
instagram wouldnt load as fast as it should be and same goes for snapchat... it just feels slower compared to the other two phones i mentioned..
loud speaker on calls only uses the 1 of the 2 speakers, which makes it completly useless, but theres a mod to fix that without boosting the max volume value
i always had better luck with cm-aosp but things are moving painfully slow in the development section, cm12 is in nightly stages with an 80% complete build with a few bugs still not ironed out so that ruins it for being a daily driver.
managed to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader which is great but feel like im missing on a lot working with the factory rom
depending on how cool the phone is, 4k video is time limited due to over heating of the phone. yes you do get a message about that from the factory rom when u switch on 4k video camera . so if u were using the phone prior to taking that video time is slashed to 3-5 mins before it stops..
videos taken on 4k or 1080/60 fps sometimes look like slow motion videos not running as fluid as they are supposed to...
never had a phone with so many things id comment about or couldnt help fix with the community but i guess theres a first time for everything...
anyways this has been my first sony mobile and being the latest android phone on the market, it only made sense to drop my broken lg g2 for it but i guess i was wrong
guess i could of been happier with the lg g3 but might as well keep the sony till either the lg g4 comes out or try those new Asus

well, intel procesor hard to install custom rom/custom kernel, am i right?
sorry my english bad

Very nice phone zenfone zoom
It's a very nice phone with good camera. I really want to have this one. But i'm still saving money to buy this.

Folks, any news when Zoom will be released? As i could not find any hint on that. Besides, i also was able to find info that Zoom might get Z3590 CPU instead of more slow Z3580. But in any case, that's only unofficial info.

Got my Zenfone Zoom (Z3580 model 64GB) for a few days now. So far pretty nice phone, fast and good UI. Only downside is the battery going fast. Have to find out what is causing that. Not lasting a whole day so far.

Got mine too - First Impressions up plus camera samples. Part 2 live tomorrow with camera shootout with iPhone 6S Plus
My post below also lists the correct specs. Some errors on first post. Any questions , just ask away

Which errors?
You have the Z3590 model, there's 2 models in which the CPU varies. Z3580 & Z3590.
Also there are 3 different localized versions: WW (worldwide), CN (China) & TW (Taiwan).
Mine didn't come with a headset tho. (WW Z5380 4GB / 64GB)

The Asus Zenfone Zoom is a single sim device. It has just 1 simslot and 1 MicroSD slot.

Can you do direct 2-way-Call-Recording???
Can you compare it with the Zenfone2, ZE551ML QUAD CORE 2.3G ?
Good luck with your gadget though!!!!

Basically it's a Zenfone2 with better camera. No other real differences. (

There's a dedicated record button, but they haven't shown any video recording specs. What gives??

Anyone recommend a cheap case for the phone?

I like the phone's characteristics but I'm concerned about the battery life. Only 2250mAh for eight cores is a bit weak. What do you think?
Do you expect the phone to have any support for the upgrade to Android L or to any other alternative upgrade?
I just purchased this phone.
I think for 102Eur is a great phone. If it have some problems, it isn't the only one. All chinneses phones have problems everywhere. The thing is if it compensates what you paid for it.
I also ordered it. I'm still waiting for it but I hope I won't be dissapointed. I hope that it will have some support (new ROMs, firmware updates etc.), since there has been a lot of interest in preorder period.

I think the official launch is on 9th Oct. We will wait at least two weeks more to put our hands in it.
Elephone p2000 at least seems that has good support and Elephone releases new roms when is needed. Also, every Elephone has been rooted easily, so that's good. Take also into consideration that we're with Android 4.4.2 .. other phones are still with 4.2 or 4.0, so we're updated for a few years with this version.
I think we take a good decision, and believe me, I search the whole internet and this is the best phone I found for this price. :good:
We just have to keep this topic alive, so that we can discuss about the phone once we get it. I already own a chinese phone with MTK6577 and 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 and I've been very satisfied with it. So obviously Elephone g6 should be a big improvement for me. I also like to do some improvements to the phone when possible, that's why I'm hoping for good support.
As far as the price-quality is concerned, I'm sure there is no better phone on the market at the moment. Only the battery still worries me...
Hopefully we'll get it ASAP.

I own a Sony Xperia Neo (1Ghz, 512mb ram, 384mb of memory to apps, 3.7'' and Android 4.0 ... slow as hell!) so this G6 should be a big improvement to me too! the only thing that my Xperia will be better is the camera and flash, so, we will see
The phone should be shipped in 9th, so -2 days!

I would just wait, all the new Chinese models will be a little delayed because of the Chinese national holidays. Not only from Elephone but also from all the other Chinese brands. And I think it is good that they tell the truth, and actually do the tests properly before they ship the phones out to all the end customers. So we don't will be having problems in the end.
I agree, just wait for one more week. If you waited that long, one week isn't that much
I look forward to getting a good product, hopefully well tested and with some suport and updates available in the future.

I want to wait, but I can't!
We hope that the product is at least good, with good support and few updates.
Still no one received the phone?
Myefox delayed shipments without explain nothing... Look for some hands on until place my order!!
Wonder if anyone has received this phone yet I am looking for a budget smartphone to replace my nightmare Samsung Galaxy ace which is getting near the end of its contract.
My situation is I done a google search for a Blackview Crown review- 5inch Octa core Android 4.4 Smartphone 2GB Ram 16GB Rom and found the following thread on this site -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/blackview-crown-review-5inch-octa-core-t2844265
Someone on there said he thought this phone would be better and a few other agreed, however I cant really find much first hand feedback on this phone.
I know nothing about rooting phones I am a basic user who just wants a reasonable smart phone but my existing phone does have a huge amount of bloatware that i dont use so would not like that on a new phone.
Just wanted to keep this thread alive as this phones looks perfect I am in the UK where the cost of this is just over £92 or $150 and using the Three network on the 800MHZ band so was hoping people could give it the thumbs up.
Thanks
Ian

waiting for your review. specially please post some camera samples. Im worried about the camera performance. thank you very much.
I received the phone. So far it looks good. Touchscreen is very responsive, no other preinstalled apps. OS really is Android 4.4.2 KitKat as stated. It has also already come rooted as SuperSU. Antutu Benchmark score is 29004.

Im about to order a one too. camera certainly looks pretty good. and your input is highly appreciated and valuble. thank you for that first. and also do all of us some more favor, please include your comment on following points,
1. some more camera pics in low light and normal indoor conditions.
2. mobile signal strength, wifi strength compared to your other mobile.
3. and another most importantly, music quality through a good headset and normal speaker strength for ringing.
4. I found some chinese devices have very low earpiece volume. how's it on the g6?
5. And of course how about the battery time.

First Hands-on
DotView Case Test
LEAGOO are soon going to release a new top model, called the Elite 1.
I have pre-ordered this phone, what I especially like about it is that it is a 5 inch phone which is more pocket friendly, and not a 5.5 like from many other brands. It features a fingerprint reader, CNC metal frame and have top specs like JDI Full HD screen, 3GB RAM, and MTK6753 Octa Core CPU.
LEAGOO ELITE 1 MTK6753 Octa Core 1.3GHz Android 5.1 Smartphone 3GB Ram 32GB Rom 5.0 Inch FHD IPS Screen 4G LTE
Will be available in Dazzling White, Midnight Black and Champagne Gold.
More info on http://www.leagoo.cc/mobile/elite_series/20150813/Elite1.html
According to the page it also has Sapphire glass! on the Fingerprint reader. And the screen has Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3. Looks to be the top 5 inch smartphone that I have been waiting for!
- MTK6753 Octa Core 1.3GHz
- 5.0 Inch 1920 * 1080 Pixel FHD IPS Screen
- 3GB Ram 32GB Rom
- 16.0MP Back Camera 13.0MP Front Camera
- Support 4G LTE, WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth, Multilanguage, Play Store, OTG, Smart Gesture, etc

Enviado de meu XT1225 usando Tapatalk
I think it is more than god, the design & materials are very attractive, it is the first of it's kind (5") that also features a front fingerprint reader and the hardware inside is very highend.
I only hope that the camera will be good and that the battery will last at least 1 day.
Then it could maybe be one of the best 5 inch china phones with fingerprint out....
Battery 2400 mAh will be the weak spot. Looking forward to your review!
Got mine today...
PROS
Cost (obviously)
Gorgeous phone absolutely stunning
Fingerprint ID, works really well and can unlock phone from standby without going via lockscreen
Great camera
Dedicated "smart button" / shutter button
Good display
Almost vanilla AOSP
CONS
Battery... just about bearable
No root as yet (which means you can't tweak battery with greenify etc)
Only one ringtone rather than a different one for each sim card
One sim slot is sim or MicroSD... I want dual sim AND MicroSD
If you've got any questions let me know
Very nice phone, good design.
At long last a good spec 5.0 inch screen model ordering one as we speak. :victory:
I just hope they didn't use the goodix touch panel so we can have a fully working touch recovery. :fingers-crossed:
Leagoo seem to have put a lot of effort into this phone so let's hope it pays off.
As said battery could be a problem for heavy users especially driving that nice high res screen
Here what the battery life looks like, for those that are interested.
I can see a custom recovery coming soon as there's an interesting feature in the Developers Options menu called "OEM Unlocking" which is described as Unlocking the bootloader. Excellent!

You can pretty much use any mt6732/52 custom recovery - by just switching the kernel. I can run you through if you want. I'd back up the stock recovery with SPFlash first regardless.

There's not root on the Elite 1 as yet... I would assume that I need root to do this? If not it would be great to find out as I can get a custom recovery and then merely flash the appropriate superuser zip. What do you think?

No need for root. Once you have unlocked the bootloader you can flash it with SPFlash or fastboot.

I have seen the "OEM Unlocking" in many of the newer China phones, I think it is a standard setting in Android 5.1. But the Chinese phones are usually not locked.

So which recovery would I use, does it have to be lollipop compatible? Any help would be appreciated as I really need flash root on this to run xposed if possible... and obviously I need a full backup before risking the inevitable bootloops. Thanks in advance.
I'm confused, this phone is supposed to have a MT6753 SoC (hopefully as MT6752 is a huge failure imho). Yet you speak about Elite 1 and MT6752 here. Are there different versions of Elite 1? Please clarify.

I have a couple of questions. I already know that they lie about the cameras, that it's 8/13 MP interpolated to 13/16 MP, but can you verify that the main camera really has an IMX214 sensor like I read somewhere? (check in MTK Engineer Mode)
They lie about the cameras. What else do they lie about? JDI screen, Gorilla Glass?
Can you confirm that the Elite 1 has a MT6753, not a MT6752 as the name of this thread suggests?
Were you able to unlock the boatloader and get root?

It is the MT 6753 as shown in the screenshot below. The rear camera is listed in Antutu as 16.3 mega pixel, and to be fair it is the best camera I've used (which kind of only makes it better than the Honor 6 and the Lenovo Vibe Shot).
The screen is incredibly vibrant, and I've had to use Lux Auto Brightness in order to tone it down (and it's still really bright). This has boosted the battery a lot.
In MTK Engineering Mode the camera is definitely NOT interpolated. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any more questions.

Thanks! I'm happy it's a MT6753 even if the MT6752 is theoretically more powerful. Too many problems with all MT6752 devices I know of and I have/had several.
Can you check MTK Engineer, swipe to Others and check if there is a menu there for Device Info. Most MTK devices have that menu but some don't. If it's there you will be able to see what camera sensors there are. I think (and hope) it's a Exmor IMX214, which is one of the best 13 MP sensors on the market imo. I also believe that the front camera sensor is a 8 MP OV8858.
Did you get root access?
________EDIT________
Honor 6 have a IMX214 and you say the Elite 1 has a better camera, so it could be true that it has a 16 MP Exmor then. On the other hand the photo quality depends on software and the post sensor processing in the SoC also.

I've tried the Engineer mode as well as 3 hardware info apps. None of them give the sensor name, but they all give the same information, that the back camera is 16.3 megapixel with continuous auto focus. What you say about the Honor 6 sounds right as the two are almost exact with the minor differences being colour saturation and very fine detail... the differences are noticeable, but so small, they could be down to post sensor processing. If there's decent light tomorrow I will take a photo with each as a comparison for you.

Thanks for info. No hardware info app would be able to extract the info about what sensor it is and would also not be able to tell the real resolution if it's interpolated. If you have root access you can change the build prop (/device/system/build.prop) from user to eng (engineer) and get some more info in MTK Engineer (ro.build.type=user --> ro.buildtype=eng). If you don't have any major complaints on the phone I will probably buy one to play with. I have no MT6753 device yet and the Elite 1 seems like a good candidate to become the first.

I would say they are "okay" not super, but also not bad. I guess they are about what I expected for a phone in this price class. But in low light the camera is not the best.

Latest news about the Bluboo Xtouch is that it will be customized for Aircel to enter the India market.
Bluboo Xtouch appears in front of our eyes again with exciting news after a period of silence. According to the latest news, Bluboo is going to cooperate with India operator Aircel to sell Xtouch in India market.
Bluboo Xtouch is the 2015 annual flagship android phone of Bluboo, we have gotten much news report about this amazing 4G device but seems it is still on the road of official release.
Xtouch advertise itself "the best 5 inch smartphone so far". That make us much eager for how this device performs.
Aircel is the third-larggest network operator in India.
They roll out 4G network service in 2014 and put more energy on 4G network developing in 2015. This is the first time that they cooperate with Bluboo.
The latest news report: Aircel has finished the quality eveluating of Xtouch. This model is going to be sold in India soon. Aircel chooses to keep the name of "Xtouch", this is the signal of Bluboo enter India market?
Another interesting news is that Xtouch’s ROM will be increased to 32 GB from previous 16GB for the Aircel model, but we still don’t know if the RAM of Bluboo Xtouch would be double.
Xtouch is going to be sold in India at the price of 14999 rupee($229). We can not make sure if they would launch both Bluboo Xtouch and Xtouch Pro.
Specifications of Bluboo Xtouch so far:
Bluboo Xtouch
MT6753 cpu
5 inch FHD JDI
3GB + 32GB
8MP + 16MP
2.5D + 3D back
3050mAh battery

According to Bluboo the final version will be released in next month. So we still have to be a little patient.
I have no received the final version of the Bluboo Xtouch, all videos so far shown on Youtube have been from the engineering sample only.
Post #1 is now also updated with an Unboxing & First Hands-on video. If anyone have questions, feel free to ask.
Hi when the device will be on market?
Any in unboxing video?
Hey s7yler,
I think that you are in a closer contact to Bluboo than me and that's because I have 3 questions.
1. Will it have WLAN ac standard support?
I'm asking because people are irritated. If you look on the data sheet on Bluboos website, you won't find ac supported. But if you click on description and scroll down to the motocycle, you will see that Bluboo guarantees 802.11ac wireless. Also in this video on youtube you can see that ac is supported.
2. Will it have a gyroscope?
Same thing. The data sheet says it will have a gyro but in your video there's no gyro.
You write it's an engineering sample - but it isn't an early one. What we don't like is the black frame between the border and the display. You can't see this "feature" on any pictures on the website. Do you know if Bluboo will improve that?
It would be much appreciated if you helped us out here because I know many people who ordered the phone and if they would know that there are some features they would miss, they have a chance to cancel the order :silly:
Keep up your work and thanks!

Hi
Can you tell me how I can test WLAN ac? that is 5Ghz or? Because my WiFi router here at home doesn't seem to support 5Ghz, so I need a way to check on the phone or via an app if 5Ghz is then supported by the phone. So far I can only confirm that the WiFi is good on the phone. Link speed says 135 Mbps on the phone, I am unsure if that will confirm something on the phone or if that is just the speed that the router sends out?
There is no Gyroscope, I checked with Sensor Box and also Google Cardboard (not working).
The black border I believe will stay, it looks different on the white model of the phone. On the white the outer frame is white, while the display itself then have a thin black border around. On the all black version this just looks like 1 thick black border. The border seems to be qual thick to the one on Ulefone Paris (if you measure the grey border with). But fact is that the Leagoo Elite 1 (which is the nearest competitor) has smaller bezels when I compare them side by side.
Hey s7yler,
thanks for your (p)review and the given further information on the awaited xtouch.
Though i also still have some questions about it:
- Could you please give final size specs of the phone, because they vary from shop to shop and manufacturer's information
- Saw the led notification menu in the settings, so it definately has an led for notifications? If so, where is it located at?
- Finally, could you please check if it really has OIS camera, just shaking telephone like shown here
- Have you yet checked the quick charge feature with the included charger?
Thank you very much for your effort!!!

Real measured phone size is: Width: 71,9mm / Height: 146mm / Thickness: 7.7mm (in the center of the phone)
It has a multicolored notification LED, located in the top near the front camera.
OIS is not present (no such setting, also not EIS) in the stock camera app for video and also not when I test to record videos with the camera. But if the camera is capable of it I don't know. For pictures only it has "Anti-shake" ?
Doesn't seem to have any quick charge, it charges like a standard phone.
Thank you for the given information s7yler.
If you click on the network you are connected with, it'll show on which frequency you are. You should also check I if the connection speed is above 54 mbit/s.
If yes, you are connected to a 5 GHz network

When I click on the network I'm connected with, it doesn't show any info and also no frequency or connection speed. It only shows "Forget network" or "Modify network" nothing else. In Advanced WiFi there are also no such informations, only the MAC and IPv4 adresse.
But as told Link speed says 135 Mbps on the phone, that I can check with CPU X and see under Network.
PS. Post #1 updated now also with camera samples and Geekbench 3 battery test results.
Thank you

thanks for the review and for photos - I ordered mine yesterday, but as far as I see, the sharpness on the left side of every photo is a disaster or the lens wasn't quite clear
the battery seems also not exactly 3000mAh - the rundown test time seems nearly equal to leagoo elite one's results that is said to have a 2400mAh battery and similar hw specs

Yeah I see it also on the left side, I think maybe it is the Anti-shake option that I had enabled. I have just tried to make pictures with it disabled and the left side was then always clear and sharp. Not sure why this happens. Regarding the battery, not sure. Because I tried to make a test on the capacity with a measurement tool and let it charge from 0-100% and it gave the 3000mAh according to the tool. Maybe the ROM/Firmware is not so good optimized and the battery drains faster than it should or something like that....
thanks for the updated post and further information.
Can you upload some HDR-shots please? Maybe the original camera app isn't as good as it should - but fortunately, there are several alternatives I'll try.
Thanks for the photos, seem quite ok so far, except the mentioned left side. Anyways i'd recommend to always shoot photos in the camera's native resolution, which would be 13MP in this case. 16MP is interpolated, so this might not be the best option for good shots. HDR samples would be appreciated here, too.
@s7yler so the reviewed one isn't the final version, right?

Hello all. I bought in pre-sale this mobile in 2nd november with the end of pre-sale in 20th november and I received it in 19th dicember in Italy.
I am using it since a day!
First: battery was totally 0%
I waited for first charge (about 1 hour and 15 minutes...very fast!)
All first day I used it in stressing condition: wifi on, update of many applications, download new OTA update, checked youtube movies, audio test, Picture tests, whatsapp, facebook, ans so on.
At the end of the first day the battery indication is 82%!
Now it is 75% with 1 hour and 15 minutes of maps navigator used to come to work in 4G connection!
First impression is really strong!
My only 3 disappionted :
- use 2 sim or 1 sim and 1 microsd .... I wanted a mobile with 2 sim + microsd and with this mobile is NOT possible.
- battery is not removable, if you will need to change you ask to Oukitel support.
- home, menu and back keys have not back illumination.
I had a Leagoo Lead 1 and I must say that display resolution is the same (on teh paper!) but in this mobile it seems really better : brightness, resolution, quality!
Audio is good and cameras work really in great way!
4G is spectacular! I changed mobile just to have it.
I must say that pictures of the Oukitel k6000 pro that you posted should be a new model : K10000!
On Oukitel site it is already present but I don't like the design, I prefer K6000.
Now I want to root it , do you know how I can do?
Oukitel is developing Cyanogen to use in k6000. I just installed it in my k6000. But its not fully working maybe 95% done. If you need a 100% fully working rom you should go with the stock rom for now. Maybe in few days cm12 will be available at 100% for this k6000
ROM to prepare for this device. I hope you like

Is the phone still good after two months?
How about the vibration intensity when you're in a crowded place?
How about loudspeakers when you need to make a call only with the use of loudspeakers?
do you have a LED indication light for incoming sms, missed calls, emails, facebook msg, etc?
I'm planning in buying one.
I'm very dissatisfied with my elephone p8000.
I am very very satisfied!
I made root and I changed audio parameters because audio was too low but now the it is really loud, in all conditions (ring, song, bt ecc...)
I recharge its every 4 days and so I can forget to have every day the supply cable with me and recharging is just 1 hour long! Really fast!
The only sad thing is that I have not found a plastic or silicon cover to protect its, but for the moment I am really careful where I put it on table or other places to don't create scretch or risk of falls.
Display is really sensitive and with good image (great dimmer gap!). Camera ok, but slow to capture (leagoo Lead1 was really faster), so I installed Fast burst camera lite and now it is ok for fast needs.
The vibration it is the same of leagoo1 and for the moment I have not used it in really crowed situations, but I think that it is ok for everybody.
No led indication (this is a pity!)
Looking on different sites I found it to 100 euro from spain ...I think that it is a good and cheap price with fast shipping for europe. I paid 100 euro too but I waited presale period and shipping time (about 40 days).
If you find for that price is a good solution but if you spend more , maybe there are other models with more things of its (greater resolution, more functions, more RAM ecc... )

Ordered mine last week from Doogee official store Aliexpress, the phone is selling like hot cake ? right now. I hope it lives up to the bidding.
I just needed a cheap phone that can carry a power user one full day with out charging or with quick charge option and this one fit in.
Will do an unboxing video and possibly upload the stock Rom backup (from SP flash tool)

Dual SIM with MicroSD slot, but you can't use two SIMs and a MicroSD in the same time. 1x SIM Card + MicroSD or 2x SIM Cards.
My first time buying a Doogee phone and was impressed at the battery capacity. Waiting for the phone to arrive now and hope that it lives up to its hype. I hope there will be some developments on XDA regarding flashing custom ROMs especially with Android O coming along. I do not know what is Doogee's policy on software updates but I have little hope about this phone receiving an Android O update in the future. What do the experienced Doogee buyers think?
Will there be any developement in xda for this phone ?I want to buy this phone but i always try to buy those phone which has a good response in xda developement.
Is the phone worth buying or is it crap?
Just received my BL5000 through mail today. The phone looks beautiful. I got the black variant as I like a full black front. Its running Android 7.0 and I received a software update from Doogee immediately upon activation. Hope this is a good sign that updates will keep up.
The UI is snappy with almost stock android experience with the Doogee UI launcher. Nothing really useful in my opinion and will swap it to Nova Launcher Prime later. Been playing a bit with the camera. With indoor shots, the camera's Blur Mode looks disappointing as the edges are not differentiated properly from the background. But it's a cheap phone so did'nt really expect much from the camera. As I use it further the next few days, will share what I think.
Hope that XDA can have a specific forum just for Doogee BL 5000 cause I feel that it has some potential.
I just got mine yesterday and I'm switching from an S7. So far I'm impressed with everything. $180 is hella cheap.
Review coming soon.
Only thing I need is root.

The camera is it's weakest aspect. The blur mode is really useless. The secondary camera is not even used for taking a picture. U can try to block the bottom camera and it makes no difference except during blur mode where it will tell you not to cover it. S7 camera has one of the best among all
Other than that, it's a good phone. I installed nova launcher to replace the Doogee launcher.
Been posting lots of stuff in the official Doogee forums and hardly any official replies. This phone company has the worst customer service I have encountered. Do not buy phones from this company if u expect any customer support at all.
Doogee BL5000 Camera Review
I've spent about a week with the BL5000 and I actually rather like it The screen is the thickest I've ever seen and it gives the whole phone a strange bubble effect. Most phone mention that they're 2.5D but the BL5000 definitely is! It has an aquarium-like quality... in a good way XD
The screen it super bright and it works fine in direct sunlight. The speakers are better than I was expecting. No notification LED, which will be a big no for some.
It's a beast 208 grams, but you're getting decent battery life. Has anyone else had problems getting AccuBattery to work?
I've put up a full Flickr album of photos if anyone is interesting in seeing how the Dual Cameras perform.

Thank you for the review. What do you think about the dual camera setup? The blur mode I think is very disappointing. The secondary camera is not even used to take a photo.
And can you clarify the size of the battery with an app? People were saying that the battery size was actually 4500mAh and not 5050mAh as advertised by Doogee.
