Android version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: I317UCUCNJ1
Build number: KOT49H.I317UCUCNJ1
ROM is NE5 patched with the NJ1 OTA. Rooted, Deodex'd, and Zipaligned
Thanks and Credit to @Zen Arcade for his Auto-deodexer
Added Tethering patch, Screenshot edit, and Quad-MultiWindow
No N3, N4 or S5 stuff. No Theming. Not sure if I'll go there on this ROM.

Almost Naked ROM IS POSTED BELOW. It has the stuff removed from ButtNaked.
Like Books, Flipboard, Magazines, SVoice, etc. All ATT crap will be stripped out.
I'm still learning what the changes were on NJ1. The camera feels like it takes pictures faster, a little quicker to respond for the next pic.
INSTALLATION
Instructions are the same as any other Custom ROM.
If you are on stock kernel it will probably hang. It should not if you are on AGNi kernel.

Install instructions: Credit: ATT DN5 Team @sawdoctor and @Bajanman
You need to have Samsung 4.3 Bootloader or newer.
Make sure you have the latest TWRP/CWM recovery installed.
Next, remember to backup your apps and your efs folder. That's something that you always should do before flashing anything.
Go to TWRP/CWM recovery via pressing home + power + volume up button at the same time.
Make a Nandroid backup of your working system, if you haven't done so.
Its best to do a clean install for any new Rom (clean installation recommended includes internal storage)
In TWRP Recovery hit wipe, and slide to factory data reset system. (Internal won't be touched fyi)
In PHILZ Recovery Format Internal SDCard (in mounts and storage) and do Factory reset (I will install a new ROM option in PhilZ)
(Reminder) Remember that everything you flash you do it at your own risk so do your research before flashing anything!!
Now find the location of the Rom on your external and install it.
Flashing the Rom zip.
It should take less than 10 minutes till it boots...

No mobile connection after flashing
I've flashed PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v4.2.8_N7105_4.4.x_AROMA.zip, Buttnaked-NJ1.zip, ATT-I317UCUBMJ4-Modem.zip (per instructions after flashing Buttnaked-NJ1.zip), and AlmostNakedFix.zip, in that order, but I get no mobile connection. I'm using CWM 6.0.4.1 and the phone is rooted. I also tried flashing CWM-I317UCUCNJ1.zip, but it didn't make any difference. I'm on AT&T.
When I go to view mobile networks, it says I need to insert a SIM, even though it is already inserted. There is no IMEI number listed, even though my SIM is inserted and mobile worked before flashing. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm running DS_AN Rom with AGNi N7105 4.3.1r2 with no issues. Also ran on AGNi v4.2.8.... however, when I tried upgrading AGNi to v4.3.7, ran into the no SIM no data issue. See my post 2340 in the N7105 AGNi kernel thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58511272&postcount=2340
Try reflashing kernel (like AGNi v4.2.4) or previous last known working boot partition from a backup if you have one. I was able to fix my issue by just reflashing last known working boot partition. .. then IMEI and SIM were again recognized. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.
I found (somewhere) that flashing CM10.2 would fix this, and it worked in my case. I have no clear idea why. After that, I was able to flash another Android 4.4.X ROM and it continued to work, but after flashing Buttnaked again, it stopped working again. Maybe I'll try again next week if time permits.

I found this on the Galaxy Y GT-S5360 forum thread (so don't flash the zips in the OP on the ATT Note2!)... but found it interesting and perhaps a reason a few folks are seeing "no SIM" and "unknown IMEI" issues after flashing the newer versions of the AGNi N7105 kernel on the stock (NE5 or NJ1) ATT rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52952880&postcount=1
Something to do with the RIL files being mis-matched. Not sure, but perhaps the RIL files are missing/corrupted causing the problem... just not sure where to obtain the latest RIL files for the ATT stock firmware or which RIL files should be loaded on the ATT firmware to get it to work.

[DEVED/TW-ROM FIX] Developer Edition TW-4.4 ROM Fix Files [2014-04-27]

TouchWiz-4.4 ROM FIXER for Developer Edition devices
WARNING: These files are for Developer Edition devices ONLY. Kernels cannot be flashed on the retail VZW Note 3 devices!
THIS PROCESS ALSO SETS KNOX 0x1
Own a DevEd? Flashed the firmware/modem bits to the new TW4.4 in hopes of seeing some of the improvements or running a stock-modded ROM?
FIRST: Big shout out to @Imoseyon who has a VERY nice kernel for unlocked devices here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488082
Go over there and tell him thanks, because I had spent a day or so trying to fix up a boot.img but wasn't having much luck due to a crash in TIMA memory. But, then I read that someone had gotten the leak booted w/ Imoseyon's kernel and was able to rip it apart and pull just the absolute minimum changes to get a VERY close to stock kernel / ramdisk setup for the 4.4 leak.
WHAT IS THIS?
Several issues were noticed immediately on DevEd devices due to the fact that we can't flash certain portions of the updated ODIN files (aboot, sbls, etc):
Play Movies won't stream
External SD card won't mount
Lockscreen settings don't work
Imoseyon's kernel was the only boot.img which would run 4.4 leak due to aboot/devicetree changes and TIMA crashes
The files below fix these issues and provide a VERY close to stock boot.img for use on DevEd devices.
FIX FILES: 2 flashable .zip files (for use in recovery):
1st flash file: flash-vzw-de-4.4-kernel-v1.0.zip
This is a rebuilt boot.img containing:
New NC2 stock-based kernel with CONFIG_TIMA disabled
Rebuilt dt.img using 1st gen dtbTool for use with our 4.3 aboot
Ramdisk has default.prop changes for disabling TIMA, KNOX and securestorage (Credit: @Imoseyon / leanKernel 2.4 ramdisk)
This file only needs to be flashed once (as long as you don't swap to AOSP ROMs). You can also use leanKernel by @Imoseyon if you like his work. The difference between this kernel and his are: I used the identical settings as the stock NC2 kernel (Kernel modules are enabled, etc) in an attempt to eliminate as many differences between the DevEd and the retail device. His kernel has a TON of tweaks and updates. But, could in theory have issues running the stock NC2 VZW leak.
Kernel source: https://github.com/Hashcode/android_kernel_samsung_hlte/tree/hlteatt-kk-nc2
2nd flash.zip file: flash-tw44-sys-files-fixes-v1.0.zip
A set of system file changes which fix the issues noted above (this file should be flashed after EVERY TW-based ROM is flashed)
Downloads:
Mirror 1 (Goo.im)
Mirror 2 (Crackflashers)
Instructions:
Download the above files and place them on your device's storage
Reboot into recovery
Flash flash-vzw-de-4.4-kernel-v1.0.zip if you need to fix kernel (coming from AOSP)
Flash flash-tw44-sys-files-fixes-v1.0.zip after ANY flash of TW-based 4.4 ROMs to fix system files
Reboot, no need to wipe cache, etc

Nice!
The sdcard fix worked but the screen security and play movies remains the same in captions of screen security it looks like this.
Edit: options not available due to device administration: screen lock security, encryption, credential storage type=backedup to hardware.
Great! Quick test results:
I can see my exFAT 64GB external SD card.
Cut and paste works with my password manager.
I still cannot set a screen lock PIN.

I just received a PM from @oah2010 with the following fix for the screen unlock PIN/Password problem. He says:
Hi,
I don't post enough to reply to the thread in beans new dev edition kernel, but I wanted to let you and the other guys know about how I got the pin and password unlock to work for me.
I found it on a random xda thread:
In build.prop,
security.mdpp.result=None, changed to #security.mdpp.result=None
This let's you use the pin unlock as well as the other options that are currently greyed out.
This works for me with the deodex 4.4 rom and leankernel even before applying the fixes in beans new thread.
Please post this in the thread so other people will know.
Hope this helps.

I revered the change.

Big thanks to @Hashcode! SD Card (EXFAT) is working great!
I have been getting a couple lock ups/random reboots a day while on leanKernel. Going to run with this kernel for a while to see if that still happens.

worked perfectly here you have to open it with text editor after mounting system r/w and delete the old copy of build properties after the new one is generated when you click save and exit, then mount the system r/o and reboot. Now get play movies going and I`m golden
mount r/w, change with text editor to #security.mdpp.result=None, click save and exit, mount r/o then reboot. Also verify that permissions are identical to the original. I hope I explained that better the second time sorry. Now I believe encryption will work too since a passcode can be set. Thanks @oah2010 and @DavidFlory .

Thanks for the additional information.
I tried it again - I must have goofed up my build.prop somehow.
Regardless, it booted back up fine, but the swipe/pattern/pin lock options are still grayed out (just like the screenshot in the thread above). I tried wiping cache/dalvik without luck. Also tried re-applying Hashcode's sys-files-fixes zip - didn't make a difference.
I do see there is also a "security.mdpp" line in the build.prop a few lines above. Wonder if that needs commented out too.

Play movies is working for me...
If it's still busted for you, try going into "Application Manager", "All", find "Google Play services" and click "Uninstall updates". Once you uninstall it, Hangouts should immediately popup saying you need to update Google Play services. Re-apply this update. Try play movies again...
Question folks: Will flashing this + Beans' kk Rom update the DE's modem to the current kk from MJE? I don't plan on running touchwiz on my DE but I'm wondering if I should just flash it to get the new modem (baseband) and then go back to AOSP.

No firmware update in this. Just ROM and kernel.
As far as I know there isn't a flashable modem firmware for that yet.

I should say for my device, I'm not 100% sure if I flashed @BeansTown106's ROOT/ROM or whether I flashed the leak's system.img.ext4 file via heimdall (I remember flashing SuperSU initially to get root tho).
And I literally have no extra mods installed other than these.
So, I'd like to keep track of who has the following working and what users are doing to fix their issues:
- SD card (seems like it's fixed for most)
- Play Movies (@ThePooch it's not working -- possibly need to remove the updates / re-install?)
- Lock screen settings (Seems like I'm still the only one with working settings :/ -- possibly need a build.prop fix)
I have a theory that something in the ROOT ROM is causing the lock screen issues. My stock ROM was a direct flash of the system.img from the leak. But on rom-slot1 I installed Beans ROM. I have working lock screen setting on stock and the issues as everyone else on rom-slot1.
I'm researching the differences.

I assume that we need to be on twrp 2.7 ( 4.3 edition).
Several people were complaining about the sd card not mounting -but fat32 wokrs.
here is a small donation 5W64555......
Thank you for keeping these devices up and running.

Rom slot ??? Wow now that is a difference I'm using TWRP 2.7.0.0 never once thought to use SS on a DE. Hmm I wonder could SS be the fix? How about running SS along side a native recovery? So your stock slot is not rooted and your running beans KK in Rom slot 1? This opens up many curious questions.

I'm looking into it also thinking of the possibility of a special Odin package for the DE straight from the leak minus bootloader and plus Hashcode kernel so it will actually boot proper.

[Q&A] [lt03wifi][P600][ROM][CM12][5.0.2] Temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build [v3.3]

Q&A for [lt03wifi][P600][ROM][CM12][5.0.2] Temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build [v3.3]
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [lt03wifi][P600][ROM][CM12][5.0.2] Temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build [v3.3]. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Hi guys I did try it on my p601 and its ecelent
thought its easy just exported my modem on old p601 and tried to import it but I didnt make the trick
some other developer did mods for p601 then p600 maybe they can give a hint what else need to be done on a p601
ACTUALLY I use xkat 2.0 that developer did first an p601 and downgraded then a p600 version
would have no issue to use my device as p600 but get only internet by 3g
To get 3g to work requires a new device tree you can't just import your modem there will be a lot of files that need to call specific hard ware files, etc to get the 3g to work. I wish it was as simple as that

Does this Rom Have any Spen Support? Can anyone confirm?
cm12 how do i remove the mouse cursor?
As the question really. I am an artist and need to remove the onscreen mouse cursor when spen is used. I don't use an external mouse so dont mind losing it entirely.
Any ideas how?
Many thanks
My P600 will come in the mail within a few days.
I've spent a few days (4) reading through the forums before posting my very first questions on xda......
1. Is this rom based on RaymanFX 12/18 build?
2. Would clean flashing version RaymanFX 12/5 then dirty flashing Temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM12 BUILD fix the camera force close?

I don't have the camera issue,i dirty flashed like you are intending to.
Dirty flashing will fix the camera issue as in dirty flashing guy rom over raymanfx build or the nexus experience ... Some reason from source code the camera is not working. I want to build regular cm to check what portion I am missing (if any) of correct sources. I know what the error is from the logs however I fix one part and another crops up so I think there is something missing

Thanks!
I also think that this rom ir best of best.
Can anyone confirm pressure sensitivity is working? I cant find an answer, I read that spen is only a pointer so that does not work for drawing apps that use pressure?
My P600 came FedEx today and I'm ready to root and flash.
Should I update the device from P600UEUCNI1 to P600UEUCNK2 to get the latest KK recovery before I start? (if the 2 newer updates even makes changes to recovery).
I am getting the update prompt though it doesn't say which build.
The recovery shouldn't matter it will get flashed over with a twrp build anyway...
I am not up to date on the root ability of the newest bootloader as my device was rooted when I got it stock and I don't recall updating bootloader at any stage

your a bit hard to understand.
to flash it correctly you need to use odin and not the img flash tools, etc from the market. These tools can cause problems and can flash to the incorrect partition block for the device.
none of the TWRP zip files on their website ever seem to work for me, so i have also flashed these things manually because to many times i have been left with no recovery or back to stock recovery. Manual flash is always better.
you need an .img.tar file - here is the direct link from twrp website for lt03wifi (note 10.1 wifi only model) - https://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/lt03wifiue/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-lt03wifiue.img.tar
this needs to be flashed with odin, i would suggest read here first - http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539
within this there is a further guide on how to use odin, the link of odin iteself can be obtained here - http://www.andromint.com/download-odin-latest-version/

I'll try to be clearer.
Actuallynit's the forst time I'm trying to work with roms etc. Actually I feel a little lost. I managed to install Odin on my computer (tried 3.09 version) managed to root my device. But the problems that I have occur from there. What do you meam by manually flash your rom, why do ypu ask to use tpwr if you tell me now it never works. And where do I need to download the cyanogenmod's rom file? On mu tablet, sd card or on my computer? I don't wan't to say this tutorial how to get the cm installed on ypur device is unclear, but as a newbie, I encountered some difficulties.
Thx for everything.
Ps. I took a looknon every link u sent me, but it didnt really help me.

Please re-read my previous post.
I did not say manually flash rom, i was talking about the RECOVERY which is the TWRP recovery by using ODIN.
Please have a good read through guides, if the ones i linked don't help you try googling, there are plenty others. There are videos on youtube showing how to flash files/recovery using odin.
Please read as much as you can before starting, because when it goes bad no one is going to be able to fix it for you. As much as it is at your own risk i wouldn't like to see someone's hard earned money turn into a paperweight.
Tell me please, working s-pen?
The GPS is not working for me on this rom, heres what I did...
Step 1:
I flashed TWRP 2.6.3.3 with Odin 3.10,
Made a backup with TWRP,
Cleared Cache,
Cleared Dalvik,
Cleared Data,
Flashed cm-12-20141205,
Flashed gapps,
Flashed SuperSU,
Restarted to UI.... GPS Test Works, so does Navigation.
Step 2:
Flashed cm-12-20141218,
Flashed gapps,
Flashed SuperSU,
Restarted to UI.... GPS Test Works, so does Navigation.
Made a backup with TWRP,
Step 3:
Flashed cm-12-20150104 v4.2,
Flashed gapps,
Flashed SuperSU,
Restarted to UI.... GPS Test does not work, neither does Navigation
Also tried "Step 3" with cm-12-20150103 v4.0 AND cm-12-20141231 v3.8 with the same result.
THIS ROM ROCKS! VERY SMOOTH AND FAST!!
Could this be a simple fix? did I take any incorrect steps?

TWRP question?
Hi all, Just wanted to give a big thanks for the work being done on this. I thought it was going to be washed up but it has been
revived ! Thanks again
Now here is what I'm wondering.
After taking the NK1 firmware, I rebooted and Odin the recovery from #2 TWRP
- Noticed in the new recovery it has a message that says "E:unable to mount / firmware" and "E: error sending message to add(or remove) storage 65537" . Is there something else I should be clicking on more?
I basically flashed the ROM as I normally would when I was running the older version of TWRP for a clean install.
I was wondering if all this is normal or did something fail to install when I did my Odin?
thanks again and like I said so far its been running great !!

Did you double check ur firmware? I upgraded 2 NK1 @ first but only 2 of the 4 (pda csc) updated and the baseband and bootloader didn't @ first. Had to Odin back over again now all r NK1. I use the Samsung phone info app to double check. Try that and make sure u do a full clean install. Well that's what worked 4 me.

Any update on broken wifi? i am on nk1 so idk why it doesn't work.

I have the same errors... So far it doesn't seem like it has affected anything though. The only issue I have is the battery seems to drain a lot faster than on stock nk1.
This is actually my first time flashing a rom so idk if maybe it was one of the options I checked in the beginning or not. I chose the unsecured adb kernel so maybe I'll try the stock kernel and see if the errors or battery thing change because I don't really know what the difference between them is.

Hey like I said in my other post this is the first time I've flashed a rom so I don't know much. But when I started this I had to flash stock nk1 and apparently I flashed the wrong version because my wifi wouldn't work even in stock so I then flashed a different stock nk1 and everything worked and continued to work when I flashed this rom.
So what I'm trying to say is maybe you need to flash a different stock nk1 again and see if that works?
Any thoughts on improving battery life? Seems stock had better performance than this ROM. Other than that i love this ROM and will keep it as my daily driver. Buttery smooth and no force closes.

Try deleting /etc/init.qcom.post_boot and restarting. That's where most of my performance tweaks are. If it saves battery, let me know.
As for recovery. The /firmware mount error doesn't matter. TWRP is the only recovery that doesn't recognize it. I'll just comment it out for next release (already using TWRP 2.8.4.0 on my tablet [emoji14])
As for wifi issues, I'm about to release my kernel on you guys, give me a day or so

When I flashed the rom it gave two options for the kernel one said something like "nega unsecured adb" the other said "completely stock". I figured the one that said nega was you're kernel and the other was the tablets stock? Am I wrong on that and what is the difference between them?

@negamann303: Thank you for a fantastic rom. It's great to see some renewed interest in the T217S. I discovered it last night, read through both threads, updated firmware first and then flashed your TWRP, rom and themes. Everything is running smoothly. Looking forward to your TWRP update just to hide those firmware error messages.
I had this problem after flashing the recovery zip. Tried both TWRP and Philz with both reporting thd same.
Next question, how do change air gesture options. I made some changes when I turn the option on. Now I can not find Motion or any option in settings to edit or change. What am I missing? ???????
So I just flashed the new recovery and the firmware error is gone but when I flashed timberwolf's theme (atleast I think it was after the theme but I definitely got the error) I still got the "E:error sending message to remove storage 65537" error. But after a quick Google it turns out you have to turn off mtp in the recovery to fix this issue.
The twrp thread here on xda explains it and also tells you how to disable mtp in twrp.

When you first enter recovery, go to the "Mount" menu then on the lower right side it should say "Disable MTP". Click it to disable and you shouldn't get the error if you go and wipe after doing that.
It's not persistent so you'll have to do it each time you restart the recovery and want to do a storage wipe.

Okay, so I guess I haven't been following this thread as closely as I thought. I didn't realize we were at v2. Downloading now. Can I dirty flash? Any plans to use SVN? If I need to do a clean flash, I will then have to re flash the kernel and theme, right? I remember SVN was a life saver before because Nega is like a mad scientist....always tinkering. Also, I have never learned how to back everything up for clean flashes. Do I go they the whole setup every time like a pilgrim. Titanium bckup is mystifying to me.

If you are using Titanium Backup Pro, I created a screencast video for my phone that shows the right way to create an update.zip file that you can flash from recovery immediately after doing a clean install. I also tried it on my Tab 3 with no problems.

Thanks! A couple of questions...when I apply the update.zip, will it have trouble re installing apps that I got from sources other than Google Play store? I mean, is it storing the apps to re install from the zip, or re-downloading them from the play store? Because I got some of mine from other sources.

No trouble at all. It's creating the update.zip from the apps that you chose to backup, their coming from your phone tablet, not the Playstore.

How I Installed An Edge ROM and Tricked My Phone Out

I have been asked by several people, on the forums and via PM. I thought that I would offer a step-by-step guide.
Will This Trip Knox? Yes, it will. Installing a custom recovery such as TWRP will definitely trip Knox. From what I have read installing a ROM, even through FlashFire, will trip Knox, as will flashing a kernel.
You Don't Seem To Care About Knox That is correct. To this point the only downside is that I won't be able to use Samsung Pay and I don't plan on that anyway. BUT.....if you do care and Knox matters, stop reading now and stick with stock.
I will also recommend that you grab ODIN and a stock TAR file for your phone. You can always find the latest firmware at SamMobile, but will need to create an account and free downloads are speed capped. It will be SLOOOOW. But you will get a zip with the file that you need inside. Good to have in case of accident. Here is where I got mine: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/47474/G920PVPU1AOE2_G920PSPT1AOE2_SPR/
That said.....assume that you have a rooted S6. Install TWRP Manager from the Play store, ignore anything it says about an SD card and click on "Install TWRP." The version that you are looking for is "zerofltespr.img." You can also download that from here https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys6sprint.html and use Flashfire to install. Reboot into recovery (see http://www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s6-recovery-mode/ for an explanation) and make sure that TWRP is installed. If TWRP doesn't come up, make sure that you used the correct file and try again.) Now you are ready to begin.
1) The ROM that I used is the SAC23 ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ment/sac23ram9200srintdeoxedmoddedv1-t3107342 Download that and copy to your phone. You should also grab the "Recent apps fix long press on home" zip file from the bottom of that post.
2) You will also NEED (!!!!!) a kernel that is designed for the S6, otherwise you will bork your phone. I use (and recommend) the Ktoonsez kernel located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...elopment/kernel-kt-sgs6-ocv-ktweaker-t3093009 Grab that and copy to your phone.
3) For fingerprint recognition and private mode, you will need the Aroma installer from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112854&postcount=2 If you use the Aroma installer (and I don't so I have no experience) be sure that those are the only two things that you install.
UPDATE 7/1/2015 Just had a report that fingerprint is working with this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/development/kernel-kernel-t3146127
Anyone interested should read all posts for that kernel before flashing.
Once you have those files on your phone, you are ready to begin.
Return to recovery mode. Before you do anything else....Click on "Backup." Accept the default settings and let it do its thing. I always name my backups....calling this Stock is probably a good idea. Once that is done, if you break things, you can return to this.
Okay, now go to Wipe. The old-timers will disagree, but most of the time the default "Factory Reset" is all that you need. If you are paranoid (and who isn't?) after this you can go to Advanced and choose Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data and System. But I rarely do this anymore. Complete guide for using TWRP is here: http://www.androidtipsandhacks.com/root/twrp-the-complete-guide-to-using-recovery-on-android/
Now go back to the main screen and select Install. You can select multiple zips. Flash the ROM, the kernel and that Recent Apps zip file. Be sure to set the kernel to flash after the ROM. Or you can flash them one at a time.
Once done, reboot phone and if all went well, you will see a new boot animation. First boot will take a while, let her go.
You should have a clean build so remember that you will need to reset Developers options, security (for allow Unknown sources) and other stuff.
With the Ktoonsez kernel, you will have the KTweaker app, very useful. If it doesn't install for you (and it didn't for me) the APK is located inside the zip file that you downloaded at S6\KT-SGS6-LP5.0-TW-G920P-05.28.2015.zip\system\app\ Extract that and install. I use downloaded Profiles a lot.
If all is well, but the fingerprint and private mode settings are things that you use, go back into Recovery and select ONLY those two items. I'll state again, I don't use them, have never flashed the Aroma installer and can't offer any help. I have seen that they work for some people, not for others..../me shrugs. I can't help with that.
I also use the Wicked One Theme from @dazedandconfused who is a master. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ps/theme-wicked-one-theme-s6-s6-edge-t3129822 for the theme and instructions. Be sure to follow the instructions about having the Urban theme from the Theme Store installed first. But this theme makes me very happy.
That is everything that I know....which goes to show how little I know!
EDIT: Missed a step....DOH!.... if you are using TWRP you should flash the zip file found here to address the Deep Sleep issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60385577&postcount=56
Happy ROM-ing.

I have to say that it is really popular mod, but not to my taste either. Here is what I run for battery:
GSam Battery Monitor (also lets you customize the battery icon, but I don't)
Greenify and Wakelock Detector
With Ktoonsez, I have the Ktweaker installed. Click on the 3 dots upper left. Scroll down to KTweaker Shop Profiles and then pick from Conservative, Balanced or Performance (or grab some of each.) I am using the Conservative Profile "Dead By April." I love that name!
Average Per Complete Charge (now this is with light usage) 2 days 0 hours, with screen on 1 hour 41 minutes.
Not expecting to get the same battery life when I am traveling or with heavy usage, but that is still pretty remarkable.

Hello, thank you for this great write-up! I PM'ed you the other day, and you helped me get my phone flashed and all.
However, I am still having issues with the Fingerprint scanner. If any other users do use the Fingerprint scanner, could you explain the steps in which you flashed each file? After using the Aroma installer to fix Fingerprint, I keep getting "Unfortunately, Fingerprint has stopped working." I just can't seem to get it working even with the Aroma installer. Maybe I am flashing files in the wrong order?
Thanks for any advice!

I have tried both. I first wiped system, data, cache, dalvik and tried that. Then, I tried dirty flash from stock, flashing the ROM, kernel, and fingerprint fix, then wiped caches, and nothing. :/
Could you start the aroma installer, and on the first slide it tells you the version. Could you tell me which version you have? Maybe we have different versions, that could be the problem.. Thank you!
Edit: I also tried the other debloated ROM you mentioned, but it did not work with nor without the Aroma installer. If anybody wants to work with me to get this working, I can provide logs and information and test out whatever is needed. Thanks!
Thank you for this write up...glad to learn there is dev'ing going on for the edge.
Was hoping you could help; tried flashing twrp via odin, per instructions--root manager shows that I have TWRP 2.x.x. installed but when I try to boot into recovery I just get this crazy bright white screen. Was able to reboot normally the first time, but then tried booting into recovery with flashify and now stock on that bright white screen. I do have success with getting connections with odin, twrp flashing successfully. But now trying to flash back to stock firmware to get my recovery back and I have mixed results. PLEASE any help would be very much appreciated...might have borked my brand new s6 edge...but hope not.
Thanks in advance.

I have the SM-G920P Sprint variant I downloaded all necessary zip files even the "deep sleep"zip, backed up my stock rom, wiped and installed well at least I tried. Loaded the SAC23 ROM zip, swiped to flash but the screen just went black and I found myself back at TWRP recovery screen. Tried repeatedly and to no avail. Wondering what I missed if anything.

First off. please edit your post to not include the entire Original Post. It is both bad form and makes it difficult to find your question.
The first thing that I would do if I were you is to make sure that I had a good download of the SAC23 ROM. That is most likely where your problem is. I will check my download later and post the MD5, but you should re-download.
I checked MD5 using WinMD5 Free (shouldn't matter, there are several MD5 checkers)and the MD5 should be 3bb8163e902769f564a2f3adb3a1b7e6. Try checking that.

Thanks!

Came here to say I had the same problem. The original ROM posted here was a Deodexed ROM, and the aroma tool posted was an odex version. There's an aroma installer for Deodexed Roms that works perfectly fine, just gotta use that. I'd post the link but I've been up all night and I have work in an hour lol. Have fun, the ROM is pretty nice!
@koop1955 @scott_0 have yuo guys flashed SacsROM v3?! It seems effin' amazing!! I'm verrryyy tempted to try it lol.

Sprint LG G2 (LS980) - How to install CM13 roms - TWRP/Bootloader/Bootloop debunked

Before event thinking about anything, please create a backup of existing ROM.
Why the post?
CM13 is BUMP compatible. ( BUMP explained below)
The Sprint G2 is having very confusing Bootloader and Bootstacks combination needs for every major release of Cyanogenmod.
e.g.
Initially we had to have ZV8 modem for CM11 without it we had bootloops
We were confused with LP-loki and LP-BUMP bootstacks before using CM12.1
I got bootlooped twice doing the upgrade, so I thought to share the experience to save you from such touble and make step-to-step guide for you to help to jump to the amazing Android 6
What we need -
Bump TWRP Recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/twrp-twrp-2-8-0-0-kernel-f2fs-tools-t2898705 (Thank to blastagator )
Hybrid Bootstack - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/boot-g2-hybrid-bootstacks-t3183219 (Thank to daniel.stuart14 )
CM13 based roms (few recommended below)
Resurrection - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...on-remix-m-t3271114/post64315465#post64315465 ( Thank to varund7726 )
crDroid - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-crdroid-t3120790 (Thank to firebird11 )
waiting for Bliss 6.0 from Team Bliss
Gapps for 6.X.X ( http://download.dirtyunicorns.com/files/gapps/banks_gapps/ )
Why to update TWRP?
CM13 is BUMP. If you are like me and used FreeGee to downgrade aboot, for installing TWRP, then you are on JB bootloader which is Loki based.
Loki is synonyms to JB bootloader & BUMP is synonyms to Kitkat Bootloader.
So if you flash this ROM with current setup, you wont be able to go beyond Bootscreen LG logo (in other words, you would softbrick) because of Modem mismatch.
And if you flash the Hybrid bootloader after flashing ROM, then logically you should be fixing the above problem but your TWRP, which can be booted on Loki (JB), wont be able to boot behind Kitkat Bootloader.
So we will make the TWRP capable to boot on Kitkat bootloader and then start to play with the ROMs.
So first, Install TWRP-thermal from above link. I would recommend to update your current TWRP to 2.8.6.0 with official TWRP files (https://dl.twrp.me/g2spr/) and then flash the above zip to upgrade to 2.8.7.3
Which Bootstack and what about bootloader?
The BUMP recovery can boot against JB bootloader and Kitkat bootloader. So what you have now can boot on current bootloader. So basically you can restart the recovery with JB bootloader without any problem. Reboot and flash the Hybrid bootstack from above link which takes care of everything. Remember to reboot into recovery after you flash the bootstack.
Now for ROM installation the usual procedure is needed,
Wipe Dalvik, system, data and cache
Install ROM
Install Gapps
Reboot
Few common problems and solutions,
Bootstack failing signature validation - (Checksum of the bootstack-ls980-CAF-signed.zip is : e32c3c4d5ece4749903ef7502485f488 ). So if this is matching, uncheck Zip signature verification and flash.
Google Now-On-Tap not working - This will happen if you have opted for Nano Gapps file which would not have all apps for Now-On-Tap (Just Google app is not enough probably ).
So happy flashing and hit the thanks if you see above information useful.
Let me know if you want any clarification regarding above process or any specific points.
Would this method work on the Stock LP? Also, I am from Pakistan so would I need to do network unlock on the CM13 again or would it already be unlocked? If unlock is required, would the general stock LP unlock method work? Would really appreciate your help thanks for the great guide
Followed your directions... worked awesome... Thanks!

Hi,
SIM unlock does not go away after ROM installation so it will be unlocked. The SIM unlock procedure is same for AOSP and Stock roms which involves replacing few files with Root access.
If you have a problem with network (e.g. SIM not able to serch network ) after ROM install then it is a probelm with modem file, which is taken care by Hybrid bootstack in above case.
thank you bro
Only until yesterday i heard about bump loki and bootstack, i installed cm12.1 and 13 on my ls980 without knowing all this and they worked great until y tried to install Resurrection Remix and got the soft brick, i solved my problem with another post but i want to thank you anyway

thanks for the rom. It runs great with the exception of mobile data(3g or lte). I was wondering if there were some recommended tweaks. I also noticed that when I go into the "cellular network settings", the APN submenu among others are gone, although they were there right after the initial installation. Thanks again!

I've got the exact same issue. Just TOTed back to stock ZVG and restored my 3g/LTE connection. Gonna try flashing again later this evening. I'll let you know if it keeps the data connection or not.
On a side note, I did have 3g at one point but have yet to get LTE in ANY custom rom I've tried.

exactly. Same here. I even tried the custom ROMs in the OP. I don't consider having only 3g to be "fully working". I tried AICP, Resurrection, and CM13 above. I'm sticking to stock ZVI for now, because it looks like there won't be any custom Marshmallow development with working LTE.

I don't know why APN submenu disappeared but you can try latest build for LS980 from 06.05.2016: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=51135
Mobile data (evdo) is also working! On CDMA - for sure! Thanks to mrlika for great rom!
---------- Post added at 12:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:21 AM ----------
For all who use CDMA network! In all slim roms (AICP, PA, RR, Bliss, Exodus & other) except this rom (cm13-unofficial) you has working phonecalls (even 1x & 3g network) but NO EVDO AT ALL. I've tried all variants for LS980: only in this rom you has working 3G (EVDO). Also I think its the same for LTE. So I've forget about ZVI & use this great CM13 build! All is working!
I am running AICP, have Hybrid bootstack installed, and cannot get LTE or 1x unless I am on modem ZV8.
Is it possible to run a newer modem (at least ZVG) and get LTE?
Help please!

No! If you restore your partitions after - you have the same rom as before you install cm13! You must restore your sw using backup software like titanium backup. And NEVER restore xposed software settings - you'll have system crashes after... But another steps seems fine.

If you flash 5.0.2 bootstack, then you cannot stay on zv8 modem, because bootstack flashes modem also. But anyway you can find zvimodem.zip and flash it through recovery after; I've tried it myself and have no issues with rom after. But LTE & EVDO you can have ONLY on cm13 "clean" rom - this rom by mrlika. If you flash AICP, bliss, exodus etc. - these roms are 'slim', which means you cannot turn on evdo mobile data (or maybe lte also) in it! Be aware about it, because I've tried almost 10 different roms, and EVDO working only in cm13 by mrlika!

I have looked and can't find ZVI for LS980. I did find ZVH and am running it: it fixed my LTE issue.
Works you mind pointing me in the direction of the ZVI modem? I can find only the update itself, and have not been able to extract it successfully.
Here is ZVI modem. I've put it on my google drive https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_i7PPx6-NrOMHNsdUcyblFhdlU Just flash it through TWRP

Okay just to put this out there... I did exactly the steps I listed in my post and everything worked 100% fine. Also I updated to the latest blastigator 3.0.1-2 after everything, so I can confirm my steps worked! But to add anything important for anyone who might want to know this is what I did before install CM13.
-restored phone with ZVA8.tot (4.2.2)
-rooted using ioroot
-download FreeGee and installed TWRP (while still on stock 4.2.2 btw)
-downloaded cm11 SnapShot
-then I decided to update my TWRP to 2.8.6.0 (the latest available TWRP for lg g2 ls980 from the main TWRP website
-rebooted into recovery and flashed the latest TWRP I installed and rebooted successfully without wiping anything (still on 4.2.2)
-then checked to make sure I have everything I need
-rebooted into recovery again
-went to wipe, advanced wipe, and checked everything except "internal storage"
-then while still in recovery (don't reboot after wiping) flash CM11 and rebooted
-everything worked fine still and cm11 was successful
-went into settings and downloaded the latest CM12 SnapShot and did an auto update after downloading
-rebooted successfully
-then I came here and read on how to install CM13 and did that, and if you follow my exact list from earlier from what I asked, it will lead to success.
~also through the whole process I never installed Gapps except when I upgraded to CM13 (made the process faster) and ONLY update to the latest Thermal/Blastigator TWRP after you install CM13 on the recoveries listed in the main post, and make sure you Backup everything to be safe incase a mistake is made.
/the list I made asking if it would work correctly did work, and aside from restoring from the backup, my list is a simpler version of the instructions from the main post, but I give all credit to the poster and say thanks and I only put their list of steps into my simpler form, thanks!

Lots of useless steps. If you has TWRP already, you don't need flash tot or cm11-12! Just flash latest twrp-blasted, then bootstack-caf + cm13 + gapps! Profit! (As I've mentioned before, bootstack updates radio & aboot).
P.S. ZVA (ZV8) tot you need only in 1 case: if you need to make sprint unlock, before you put another phone number (i.e. then you buy it from smb.). For install cm13 if you has twrp & root also - this is unnecessary
