[Q] LG G3 Android L - Notification Drop Shadow taking almost 50% of the screen - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am running Cloudy G3 (2.0) which is based on the stock G3 firmware. I wanted to see if anyone else noticed this issue with notifications on Android L.

i am pretty sure thats normal, but im not on cloudys rom. i think its bc of the expanded notification feature in android L. the further down you drag, the more shadow as more notifications/settings come up.

Yeah, normal. People are rarely on white background so you dont get that feeling that this shadow is this big.

[Q] Any way to get a black notification bar on stock rooted rom?

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I've searched, but really haven't been able to find an answer on this... is it possible to get just a simple, black notification bar using a rooted, stock G2 rom?
I don't want to apply a theme to everything, don't want to fiddle with what isn't broken (too much). Not really interested in running a CM rom at this point, just want to have a nice dark colored notification bar that doesn't look god awful with the rest of my screen.
If it's just not doable, any possibility it might be an option in 2.3?

You have to be using a de-odexed stock rom in order to apply black notification bar. also, 2.3 will have black bar as stock but we dont know if tmobile will push out a gingerbread update for the G2 quite yet. I'd say yes but you might have to wait 6 months knowing tmobile. we will probably have a port way sooner than that though.
Thanks. I'll go ahead and try the deodexed rom and go from there I gues.

can i return the "quality" back to my phone?
thx for helping...
do you have this issue with your display or with pictures you take using the integrated camera?
It kind of looks like a low color depth.
Do you have this problem with every dark area on your phone? Does it appear on plain black screens or only if you have a gradient in a dark colored area?
I have had a similar issue with the background image in the HTC Music player background which disappeared after installing the REvolution-Theme
I having those issues everywhere. .. and now
i noticed that on very bright images too...
Even at the clock apk background where
There is a gradient blur behind it.
But no display issues on surfing thou.

That's over-brightness...
probably exaggerated gamma. Easily done on a computer... Due to the exaggerated gamma, there's a uneven flow of colors, hence the color banding you're seeing.
i dont think its over brightness because at the stock rom i didnt get the display issues.
i must say that the display issues are more effective with gradient dark colors...
That, my friend, is not an issue of the ROM...
i only said that it was happening just after flashing the rom [rom kernel radio etc...]
on the stock rom, without all rooting\flashing roms it didnt appear.
here are example taken from my desire hd:

Do full wipe and install again.
do think the problem is on the rom flash or karnel flash?
on the first time i did a full wipe + run the "easy wipe tool "

Themes got messed up after kitkat..

The navigation and status bars have gone gray for some weird reason after upgrading to kitkat.
All my themes are working well on the Z2.
Has anyone noticed this.

[Q] Any way to have inverted interface in stock ROM LG G3?

Like in the title. I hate those all whites everywhere. Before CM11 will be available for G3, is any way to invert all?
Settings-Accessibility-Invert Colours
Or look into Themes and Apps, because G3 with inverted colours look weird.

[Request]Remove the circle from the Lollipop lockscreen clock

Hi there,
I'm no good at these things but could someone make a mod that removes the ugly circle from the lock screen? LG seems to have really messed up on the lock screen on Lollipop for the G3. Someone over at the Verizon section did it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver.../mod-fix-stupid-lg-lockscreen-remove-t3238470
Could someone make one like it for the D855? Preferably for Fulmics?
