ROM development, overclocking, rooting, tweaks and bugs - YU Yureka General

Hello folks,
i had been busy testing my Yureka since the past few days. I came across many observations and decided to compile them into a TUTORIAL so that people can find it easier to manipulate the things related to Yureka Phone according to their needs.
I have some nice experiences/improvements to share regarding our Yureka about the following:
1. Overclocking this device.
2. Removing bloatware.
3. Maximizing the amount of available RAM for usage.
4. Root privileges.
5. Governor profiles and CPU frequencies.
6. Proximity sensor glitch.
7. Xposed Framework and its compatibility.
8. Yureka's analogy to the chinese Coolpad F2 (clone).
9. Unlocking the Bootloader.
10. Rooting.
In order to let more and more Yureka users benefit from my tutorial i have posted it here:
https://www.itechnozoo.com/yu-yureka-rom-development-overclocking-rooting-tweaks-and-bugs/
Feel free to comment your thoughts and/or contribute. Do share your experience here with others if it was helpful.
And do not forget to post your numbers below if you want to be added to the whatsapp group "General Discussion on Yu Yureka".

Great.... Thanks for this...

The ONLY way for someone to decide if any rom is to their liking is to flash it and try it out.
There is no other way.
Threads like this just become popularity contests for which rom is 'best' when there is no correct answer. So threads like this comparing roms are not permitted on XDA.

[SHARE][ROM] FLYME 4.5.1.3R [Updated 25/8/2015]

Hello friends.... I'm sharing this Flyme OS which i found (shared) in MIUI forums, so that xda developers might take interest and improve it with their magics...
ROM is Based on android 5.0.2
http://www.droidfull.com/2015/07/1sflyme.html
My personal Experience..
Pros:
1. ROM is awesome with simple & neat interface, features are great.
2. Good amount of free RAM, i noticed ~400mb free after installing few daily use apps.
3. No noticeable lags, Rom is smooth.
Cons:
1. Average battery backup (but not too bad). Can be used as daily ROM
2. Few RANDOM bugs for many users.. such as...
> Gapps installation
> 2nd sim not working
> couldn't change network to 3g
> play store sign in issues
etc.,
I'm very respectfull towards developer & friends here for all their works.. :fingers-crossed:
I request if any dev take interest to fuurther develop this ROM for redmi 1s, lot many users like myself will be greatfull :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
:good::good:
please share it in general section, only post in android development if the rom was developed by you
Sorry.... I'll see how i can move now... Sorry again..
Nice ROM..only one problem is there that it doesn't support dual sim
Atlast new os for our redmi 1s and I think so it must expand by porting different OS like touchwiz, xperia, etc.!!!
Our armani devs are good in removing bugs,so I request them to add dual sim feature if they have time in future
I didn't face gapps problem and su even
I too loved to see new OS being ported.. I'm very much happy with this Rom's UI & features... Only the bugs are drawbacks..
I've never ported any ROM's until now..
Trying to port flyme OS over existing CM builds.. No success yet..
Any helps from experienced persons & developers.. Greatly appreciated..

Well to do it, it's very simple, if you're on Windows just follow up this link:
If you are running Ubuntu or an Ubuntu based distro on your machine the process is different, and it's more complicated for a new comer.
So in order to make it simply for the user i released this zip containing an automate script so just run Zenfone2Root.sh into a terminal window and leave it work.

Q8: I heard there is a WhatsApp group and a Telegram one, which one is the best? There isn't a best one here, but a more secure one yes there is one, and that one is Telegram of course. Me and some developers are on the Telegram group. We don't use Whatsapp because our numbers would be exposed to all the users and sincerely i and the others don't want that.
Here is the thread for the Telegram Group.

Q9: I rooted my Zenfone, i'm on stock and i want to update it. What to do?Don't worry your answer is covered entirely here
Q10: I have unlocked bootloader and i want to upgrade my stock ROMIf you are on stock ROM and you got unlocked bootloader you are able to update your phone only and only if you didn't touched any system files, like xposed, root etc.. In that case yeah you will end into a bootloop or the installation will even fails.
Q11: We will have Android M?Ok so, this was and it's still talked very much by the whole community... Nothing is confirmed for sure,we're hearing some news about the fact that Asus is actually working on it,but officially nothing was announced yet. But don't drop your hopes guys cause Zenfone 2 got released this year so normally the Android M upgrade will be for sure confirmed, but we don't just know when. A talk thread about this can be found here
Q12: What's the difference between dirty and clean flash?Maybe you will be heard this many times on the forum,or if you didn't heard well i will tell you what's this all about:
Basically dirty flash is when you flash a ROM by cleaning only cache and dalvik and by complete flash we're intending to have besides the wipe cache and dalvik also the wipe data. .
Q13: I saw Asus also released a tool to unlock the bootloader what to do?Yeah, this thing was also discussed by some users. Well if you're unlocking your bootloader by the "Unofficial method" made by us on XDA Asus will not have the possibility to track your phone (Warranty things), so if you're unlocking the bootloader with the Unofficial method Asus will not directly know that your warranty is lost but if you're doing it with the official method then yes.
Q14: I'm on CyanogenMod but i want to go back on stockNo problem if you want to go back on stock, just pick up the latest stock factory ROM from here: but for the fact that you're using the TWRP you will also need to modify the updater-script of your zip in order to fit and make you flash correctly the stock ROM so for that just head over here

I will continue to update this thread as much as i can for all the users.
Hope that's help a bit the new comers with this device

Stock android on ZF2
Hi.
Thank you very much for the super informative post. I am going to buy a ZF2 and I want to check if it is possible to run stock Android in this device. This is more an option for me and not a necessity. I just do not like customizations such as ZenUI, HTC Sense, TouchWiz and so. I have chosen this model for the price vs functionality otherwise I know that I could go for a Nexus model or a Motorola device that run on near stock android.
Thank you again.
P. S. I have never rooted any of my android devices so far. I am not familiar with the process and I always have the fear that I may brick my device.

How to ROOT Yu Yureka and install Nougat/Marshmallow [NOOB] from lollipop ?

I have a computer and a Yu Yureka which I wanna root and install another latest firmware. I am completely new to this mobile handling. Could anyone of you help me in rooting and installing another software such as marshmallow/Nougat? And I'd like to install only stable versions as they are quite a little more battery efficient.
Thanks in Advance.
Love y'all.
@Arunachaleshwar

Question [CLOSED] Best ROM for Poco F3 in terms of battery backup and Lite gaming?

Currently I'm on RKHMIXM (Int Global). I've never used custom rom before. I want to give it a try. Please suggest me which rom should I try first? I'm not satisfied with the battery backup in my current rom.

You should really try custom ROMs, they also increase performance and security of your device. Brother, it depends on what you want, what features you want, how much customization you want, just what you want overall and of course if you want Android 11 or Android 12. For example, there is a ROM called "Pixel Experience", it is a Pixel phone like UI with pure android with very less customization but more stability. I hope i could help.. if you have any doubts choosing or installing custom ROMs, just write me
and Btw the code name for your device is "Alioth" so be careful while downloading the ROM and Recovery while as if done wrong, it can brick your phone.
