Need HTC Desire 300 Drivers for Windows 8.1
I am trying to s-off my Desire 300 but I cant find HTC Deisre 300's drivers for Windows 8.1 . I tried to install HTC Sync Manager but when I installed it, it doesnt recognize my phone. Does anyone have drivers for 8.1 64-bit ?

Is there anyway through adb or otherwise to 'pull' the original hboot file from the phone ?
i used this
$ adb shell
shell:/ $ su
shell:/ # dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/hboot.img
shell:/ # exit
$ adb pull /sdcard/hboot.img C:\AndroidSDK\tools
but it seems there is a problem with hboot file because when i open it with hex editor it shows just zero

As far as i know you can change the ril inside the app when you tap it, it should give a list with rils you should be able to install

[Q] Network connectivity problem on Lollipop non-root

I was on SkyDragon Sense ROM and got a bit tired of the lag or battery draining, so I've decided to use Google Play Edition on Lollipop 5.1. I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706441 and follow the instruction carefully here.
Right now I'm running non-root version of Lollipop 5.1 and everything seems to be fine except I will have network connectivity problem when I'm on Wi-Fi or even just a cellular network. This is what I see when I look at the notification:

Did you verify apn was right? That really should be only reason why you'd be having network issues.. could also try flashing Rogers radio, may help a bit, but definitely thinking apn. Not sure on Wi-Fi tho as that's unrelated and it looks like you're already on gpe firmware, if not flash gpe firmware, the wcnss img in there should fix it.

I've checked my APN and they look correct after checking with Rogers's site. Where can I find Rogers radio? I have looked through in xda and found one but after I flash that one it doesn't seem to fix the problem here. I've also reflashing GPE different version from that thread and doesn't seem to solve my problem here. Do you have any other GPE non root version that you can suggest?

You own a One M7 and not a One M9. Therefore, your thread got posted in the wrong device forum. Head over to the M7 section. I'm sure they have a RUU collection where you'll find the correct RUU for your phone. Just search for a RUU with the same version number as the "version-main" in your fastboot getvar all output.
By the way, why are you mentioning an IPhone in the thread title? Is apple even supported on xda? :silly:

RUU Nougat does not work (ERR 155)

Hi,
my HTC 10 is originally european CID 034, MID 2PS620000, fw 1.90.401.5, unlocked, S-OFF by Sunshine, root by SuperSU. I want to upgrade it to 2.28.617.8 Nougat.
There is a problem I can't pass RUU instalation. Still showing ERROR 155. So I relocked bootloader, changed CID to 001, then to superCID 1111111, but there is still the same problem. ERROR 155.
It could be some problem with "partition size" which mean I'm using bad RUU, but I hope I don't.
I'm using this: RUU_PERFUME_WL_N70_SENSE80GP_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.28.617.8.exe
Does anyone know how to do it correctly? Thanks a lot!
Did you download all of the redistributables (both x32 and x86)?

You need to:
Fastboot oem writecid BS_US001
Fastboot oem writemid 2PS65000
Then run the ruu
lacxp: I've got all of them.
Ivanovic: I've read it does not matter on MID. It will be work EU LTE freqs with this MID?
And why this CID? It should work with HTC__001 or superCID 11111111, or not?
So, I'll try it.
With HTC__001 it will not work.
The ruu that you are running requires specific cid and mid and that is the American unlocked. Don't use the UK cid.
I tried this ruu on my eu device, LTE was working fine
Just backing up current state. I though superCID is universal.
With suoercid I guess it work, but you are gonna need the model ID of the US unlocked
Just tried it with that CID & MID, but still the same. ERROR 155.
Run a fastboot getvar all and paste the result.
Why don't you try the SD card method for flashing?
Download https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224402372 rename to 2PS6IMG.zip and place on SD and reboot to bootloader
I didn't found Nougat zip file for sideload or recovery flash. Is there any verified source with this?

IT IS WORKING! Thank you
So I'm gonna find how to root it. Thanks a lot.

Somehow changed model number to HTC One M9 while rooting

Hello,
I was following some of many guides to unlock bootloader and root my HTC One M8. In the process I got stuck at booting to custom recovery, and noticed that my phone somehow became HTC One M9. I am not really sure when it happened but I suspect it has something to do with unlocking via HTCDev. I would be very grateful if somebody could lead me from this dead-end.
Command fastboot getvar all gives following lines:

First time I've ever seen a phone turn into another one . Every indicator points it's indeed an M9. I don't even know how would it be possible to change such things when attempting to unlock bootloader and root.
I... uh... have to ask... are you sure your phone is an M8? Also please remove your IMEI.
Does it have two camera lenses on the back? If it doesn't, it's not an M8.
Here's what an M8 looks like:
