This is a guide to get the background color on the Now Playing screen to be a similar color to your album art on the Sony Walkman app (see screenshots below for examples). These files were extracted straight from a stock Sony Xperia Z3. This was tested and confirmed working on KitKat and Lollipop.
What you need:
Walkman app (see thread by MahaDEVELOPER to download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612397)
Root
File Explorer w/ root capabilities
Steps:
Download the .zip below and extract the files to your device.
Copy the file com.sonyericsson.colorextraction.xml to /system/etc/permissions and set permission to rw-r--r.
Copy the file com.sonyericsson.colorextraction_impl.jar to /system/framework and set permission to rw-r--r.
Reboot device.
Now play a song using Walkman, and you should see the change.

This should work on any device, theoretically. Can you try replacing the original com.sonyericsson.colorextraction_impl.jar with this one? Copy to /system/framework and set permissions to rw-r--r--.

On your Sony device? I'm pretty sure the correct permissions are rw-r--r-- for all framework and permission files.

its funny, i tried 2 different material walkman apk and both of them doesnt have the .jar file, for CM 12 users, maybe they just need to move the jar file only. i was wondering for a long time why the colors dont change. :fingers-crossed:

I believe that most Sony stock ROMs include this already, however, if yours doesn't, then it's compatible.

1st-download the attachment and unzip it
2nd-use root explorer copy it to system/framework
3rd-Fix the permissions appropriately to rw-r--r-- (644)

Just flash a UOT cooked theme with enabled overscroll glow to see the effect
Initial booting takes time
TESTed on coderom v2x-2B. Should work on all KPH based firmwares

I just tested with the Brazilian FW and it doesn't work. Here's the file that you've asked.
I think it should work on all KPH based firmware.
Tested on NexusAce and working.
Reboot took longer due to rebuilding Dalvik, when I switched out framework.jar.

make sure u are deodexed
strangely ur FW doesnt have classes.dex. try copying the classes.dex (inside framework.jar) in attachment into ur framework.jar.
I did what you said and still not working, I think that's because it's not deodexed.
Works for me, using coderom

I'm on FirstUA and it worked for me too. The glow color is orange and now i need to find a nice new theme since i don't really like orange
After installing this framework.jar I started to experience SoD with Wifi turned on, but not connected.
It's the first time on KPH and started only after enabling overscroll glow.

I swapped the framework.jar with the version of fla.sh for KPH, let's see if I still get SoD overnight.
Edit: No SoD with the framework.jar from fla.sh.

Also, I think there's a way that the user can edit the boot animation through system files, search the forum a bit, and you may find.

same way i described just rename to bootanimation.zip first
Android actually keeps*two*copies of the animation file. One is stored at*/data/local*and the other at*/system/media. The difference between these locations is minor.
The /data/local copy does not require root access. The phone also uses this animation before the other.
The other one in /system/media does require root. However, installing a new animation to /system/media means that it will survive a factory reset. It’s a trade-off.

buddy, just look into /system/media. There would be a bootanimation.zip. just have a copy of that first & then follow the process below:
Extract the above given file after downloading
in System/media folder there might be bootanimation.zip file
replace it with your mobile /system/media/
Give right of -rw-r--r--
Reboot. Enjoy..
For safety purpose, take backup first.

I dont think so coz it has needed libraries or maybe yes but will not have desirable effects.

It's made for ICS so my guess is no. But you can try and tell others if it works.

I tried downloading the file for my s2 galaxy plus
Did it with root explorer extracted to system/apps. In r/w mode.
Set permissions right to 644. rw/ r /r
Installed it.
Says application failed to install.
What im trying to do is, install it next to appolo music player that came with 4.4.4
I also removed the Apollo apk once from the app folder but still it doesn't work.
I dont think it will work on kitkat.

Preview:
Step 1 - Move ONEKeyguard.apk to system/priv-app and set permissions to rw-r-r
Step 2 - Remove Keyguard.apk using "Root explorer" (NOTE: Don't turn off your screen after doing this step, systemui would crash anyway)
Step 3 - Reboot your phone
Step 4 - ENJOY!!!

NO.. without rename .. just copy or move into /system/priv-app and change the permission of keyguard to rw-rw and ONEkeyguard to rw-r-r. and then enjoy it.. Thanks

I too faced the same issue. You should enable slide lockscreen from settings before flashing this mod. It worked for me.

It was already slide enable... but it was gave me system ui force close error again and again and again.

Many people asked, how i can get Xperia X animation on my
Xperia device running on MM, Well Here is the guide howto modify
it to get that pretty fluid and nice animation.
What it do:
When you locked your phone, and you unlock it
with the lockscreen, the animation goes not up but
from right to the left and your homescreen get opened.
What you need:
Apktool
Framework-res.apk
7zip
Brains
Howto do it:
Decompile your Framework-res.apk
Download the attachment
Open the zip with 7zip
Open Res/Anim
Select all the files
Open your decompiled Framework-res.apk
Go to Res/Anim
Copy the selected files from my zip
Into your Anim folder
Replace? Yes
Copy integers.xml from my zip
Into Res/values folder
Replace ? Yes
Compile and sign
Make A Flashable zip
Flash it
Done
** Note: Don`t forgot to credit and thank me !!

Actually you no need to decompile it, just change the .apk to .zip.
The only thing to do is push the OP files into the ".zip".
After that rename .zip to .apk, and push to system.
You're done.

sorry to bother you again @Pandemic I've just noticed all animations are very smoooth,but i found a small bug with the three-dot-menu animation...this animation is slow. I attached a screenshot so you will know which animation im talking about
