About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Flashing Instructions:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked boot loader and a latest custom Recovery such as TWRP 2.8.6.0 or PhilZ installed - Download it now from here
Copy the downloaded ROM to your phone.
Boot into your recovery
Back up your ROM
Enter recovery
Make a full wipe (system, data, cache, dalvik). If you're updating rom or have other 5.1 already you don't need to wipe data (wipe system, cache, dalvik)
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS package
Reboot - the first boot can take up to 5 minutes

Vibration works so I'll stay at this rom to test for a while.

Instructions

i made a validus 5.0.2 build compiled with 4.9 sabermod toolchain for kernel, linaro/sm4.9 for the rom and "Symmetry+Graphite+Strict-aliasing" optimisations...the nexus 6 on validus with those broke all the benches scores lolz

i have put too much optimisations lolz, that build didn't boot...cuz i used 4.9 sabermod toochain on rom; i took it off to use 4.8 regular gcc and i kept 4.9 sabermod for kernel only...

This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

In unofficial builds there was a issue with capacitative buttons staying on with screen off. It's solved in this build?
Nice that it goes official. But too sad that layers is not supported.
The capacitive navigation buttons remain lit up even after locking screen, it turns off in 2nd take though.
Capacitive buttons seem to be working great, with no lighting issues on 9.3 tests. So relax, it will be good, just give us time.

Bugs:-
Charging lag: Phone lags a lot while charging (almost unusable) - Observed the frequency.Its locked to 300-384Mhz. (not able to use the phone while charging is pretty bad).
Heats a lot while charging. Normal use also the phone heats up even without using any app.
The ROM has customizaations but the most important one Network Speed Indicators is missing (I guess everyone wants that).
Rest as usual. CM12.1 bugs
The ROM is black fully (I lykd it a lot). Most apps are themed black. But unlike a theme, it doesnt theme the other apps. Hence black is not gonna be present uniformly.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Make sure you remove your 'overlay' folders and perform a FULL WIPE

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

I've flashed ROMs before but I just follow tutorials, I'm not an expert at this. When you say "if you use another kernell", what do you mean? I'm looking to flash a custom rom now, my last one was a long time ago.
This what's on my phone right now:
I have TWRP, have to see if it's the latest version. After that, can I just flash this or do I need to do something else? I've never installed a kernell.

This ROM doesn't support i9505
Lock screen
Hi i've flashed the rom everything is perfect except one thing... When i try to set the lock screen to "Pin" the Settings app force closes and i cant set it to anything ... How can i fix this?

I guess it's already mentioned in OP that video rec as a whole isn't working.
White screen in settings Dirty Tweaks.

How to disable sim 2 so that it does not work in roaming.
please add 5 columns in next build. I tried to change display to 360-380dp but couldn't find in developers options also everything is empty in dirty tweaks. plz add necessary features like gallery, music, Radio FM, calendar, browser etc in next build. over all nice ROM didn't had any force closes.

Dirty Unicorns is still in beta stage ( and so is every other Oreo ROMs too) so don't expect much
