As for the max read/write speeds of the tablet, I don't know. But per Samsung, it is fully capable of the PRO sdcard. I have the Samsung 64GB PRO microsd card in my note 10.1 2014 edition and often save HD video to the card and watch them directly from the card and it works great. You should definately go with the pro if you want a fast card, like I said, it works great in my 2014 edition. :good:

So why not go the 128gb or Sandisk 200gb sd card?
The 200gb card works fine and I have hd video on it that works great...

So the Note also works with those 200gb cards then?
I currently have a 64gb card on my Note, but the higher capacity ones also work I might as well buy that, means I can share the same content instantly on both my tabs and laptops

Yep, they're sdxc format same as the 64gb and 128gb sd cards. Theoretically, it has been mentioned, sdxc should be able to go as high as 2Tb but 200gb is the biggest micro sd card out there at the moment.

Whats the best Memory card for S3

I just got my S3 (United States) and and tried 3 (YES 3) Lexar 32 GB Class 10 cards and every one of them have failed. I called Lexar, they say to have my firmware upgraded. Went to Sprint and verified everything is fine with the phone. The cards won't work in other phones at Sprint Either. Before buying another card I'd like to know from you guys which one out there will work with no problems, speed, and size is important for me. I know I'll be using more memory than the 32gb in the future. I called Sandisk and they recommended their SDSDQUA-032G Ultra 32 Class 10 and said it would work. Sprint says they know the Class 6 works in the S3.
I'd like more than 32gb. and fast write & Read speeds.
Can I get some great recommendations from you before I buy another piece of crap. Two weeks now and I still don't have a working card. Lucky I have Amazon prime membership.

I use a 32gb Sandisk Class 10 SDHC Card, this thing works. Problem with anything bigger then 32gb is that you have to use sdxc and this is only really compatible in fat32 or exfat, for both you have to format the card before inserting into the phone.
Try the SanDisk 32gb Mobile Ultra UHS-1 because it's cheaper than normal class 10 Mobile Ultra and just as fast, and I've been using it a while with no problems.
I am quite happy with my Sandisk Ultra 64GB SDXC. No issues at all.
What do I need to format

I would like the larger size. What would I need to format the bigger size. I wouldn't have a problem with that if I had some detailed instructions.
Thanks.
Sandisc Ultra 64gb micro sd xc1
Sandisc Ultra 64gb micro sd xc1 was my choice and its worked well over the last 4 years. Its the phone that has bricked after Little use in October 27/2016. Changed the battery it needed it. Now its bricked.
I have a SanDisk but I was told that SanDisk aren't good for Samsung S3's
Hello,
I'd recommend the Toshiba Exceria memory card, either with 16, 32 or 64GB. This card is a class 10 card with UHS 3. Although the S3 can't use the full speed of the micro SD, this is a well working combination.
Has anyone tried 128gb sdcard ?
I plan to buy,
Transcend Premium 400X 128GB CLASS10 SDHC/SDXC UHS-1, and just wondering if it work

I'm using a 128gb card from lexar on it and works fine..
(mine's the i747m just to clear it up...)
I have the SanDisk 64GB ultra sdxc or whatever it's called. It works very well with no issues and I have 1,000+ pictures stored on it with about 30 videos.
Quick question. Would a SD card and adoptable storage on a ROM be a good solution for the Samsung device?
Yes, a SD card is always good, especially for backups

For day to day use, you will see no difference on Class 6 or 10 ... if you plan to copy/move large files or music files on a regular basis, then maybe a little ... Will definitely not affect any performance like Camera app, etc.
And I still prefer 32GB Class 10 for now.

there's no such thing as too large of a mem card,
if u have the money then go for the 64gb C10
Does the Note come with a card already installed? I just ordered this morning but have 32Gb SanDisk. I was going to get 64Gb SanDisk and leave 32Gb in my Motorola Photon. If Note comes with card already installed, if lesser I will put that in Photon and sell it

hi,
no,i got my note 2 out of box with no sd card.Had to use my own.
good luck
Class 6 and Class 10 write speed in Note 2 won't be a big difference.
I found Note 2's external memory controller write speed capped at around 10-11MB/s
But for read speed, it will be a BIG difference.
I am using Samsung 64GB UHS-I Pro micro SD.
Having like 55MB+/sec read speed.
with my old Lexar 32GB Class 10 only got 13MB/s read speed.
So, if you concern of read speed, get fastest card you can afford.
if your main concern is write speed, get a class 6 or class 10 would be fine.
And don't get SanDisk ultra. it's known to have problem with Note 2.

That suck's for a $299.00 high end phone? even a 16Gb would have been better than nothing and they go for $15.00! Oh well......

I bought mine in Hong Kong for USD 95.
It's expensive yeah but it's the fastest 64GB micro SD you can buy.
It's good for you that you don't have problem with SanDisk Ultra but you can search for Note 2 + SanDisk Ultra.
It has a known problem, after awhile of use or the disk capacity reached certain amount.
Sometimes it will unmount the card or even damage the files in the card.
You can only re format the disk to solve the problem.
MANY people reported this problem. I don't know maybe trigger rate is not 100% but still not recommended.
Darkinners, thanks for your responds and suggestions (which I took and did a search, then some research!)
1. All of these complaints on SanDisk were about the 32Gb Card, not the 64Gb card. All the 64Gb comments were good.
2. The people with issues (both 64Gb and 32Gb) had formatted the card at exFAT, not SDXC. Mathamatically, I can pretty much figure out a.) why it will not write files over 4Gb and b.) why the 64Gb exFAT crashes after it fills over 16Gb! (Think about it, SIII is desinged to read/store 32Gb, not 64Gb even though it will format exFAT. And as for the kid whos computer would not read the 64Gb exFAT, i bet he has 32-bit machine?
3. All complaints were from Europe and blamed on a bad batch of cards (it happens). The one happy individual I saw got his card from Amazon, which is a ligit website. Just because the card says SanDisk, does not mean it actually SanDisk. Cheap forgien vendors use this lable to make them look legit?
4. The card you mentioned and the SanDisk are priced about the same, $59.99USD. I will get SanDisk and format either in phone or my laptop as SDXC and play for awhile. If it piss me off, I will return it!
Again, thanks for your input and suggestions!

Working 64GB MicroSD card

Hi, Has anyone found a 64GB microSD card that works flawlessly with the G Pad 8.3? I have been reading about issues people are having with the Sandisk 64GB card and I am curious if all 64GB cards have issues or only the Sandisk? Personally I have ordered the Sandisk but it has not yet arrived (neither the LG Pad) but I am wondering if I should return the Sandisk for another brand if there is one that works correctly. Thank you for any advise / feedback you can give regarding 64 GB cards you have used.
For info the one I ordered is:
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-micro...qid=1387796520&sr=1-1&keywords=micro+sd+64+gb
That's the card I have had many issues with and tried on two different G pads... I wonder if it's incompatible with 64GB cards somehow, since I have tried lower capacity sandisk cards without issue. SDXC issue maybe and needs to be SDHC perhaps? I haven't seen anything that specifies which format of SD card is compatible... I had issues with the 64GB sandisk card as soon as I inserted it, kept saying it was removed again , then reinserted. It COULD read and write to it but lost sight of it often. In recovery mode worked flawlessly and also on PC....
I have this Samsung card and it works perfectly.....

That seems to put the Sandisk brand in the spotlight then... I just reformatted mine using the SD formatter https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_windows/ but after thinking it had made a difference, the tablet lost sight of it again 40% through a backup...

I'm happy to use SanDisk in my cameras, but for mobile devices I've read of too many problems. Samsung, on the other hand, seems to receive pretty universal praise. No doubt there are exceptions, but I went for Samsung based on rep and superior speed.
I've had no issues running the Sandisk 64GB card in my G Pad. Currently have it formatted with exFAT. I have a ton of stuff on it as well as moved all of my games onto it using Foldermount. Thus would know immediately if the card were to disappear / no longer be recognized. Check the format of the card. If you have it formatted in FAT32 then reformat it to exFAT. I believe exFAT is preferred with larger cards.
Thanks for the info about exfat, this sounds promising. Can anyone with the SanDisk card that is having issues try this and confirm if it fixes their issue. When mine arrives I will try it out but I need to wait another week or so. Thank you

Unrelated but I could never get any 64GB card (and I tried 4 different brands) to work properly in my Samsung 8"..
I have a 32GB in the LG currently and was planning on getting a 64, now maybe not?
I have a Sandisk ultra 64gb and use folder mount and run my games from it with no problems.
i have no problem with my 64gb sd card that i ordered from amazon didn't need to format it or anything just worked out of the box

Anyone tried the more generic brands yet? I have a 32gb Patriot Class 10 that seems to work fine, but there's a 64gb on sale at a local Canadian retailer that looks mighty tempting...

I certainly wouldn't consider Patriot a generic company!
I have a 64GB card from Komputerbay that was £35 from Amazon.co.uk that is working well so far. Came formatted exFAT.
I've lost faith in the SanDisk cards. Also, the Ultra cards that most people talk about are not very fast!

Issue with MicroSD

So I just got a Kingston Class 10 64GB SDXC Card
I generally use Wifi File Transfer Pro to xfer stuff to extSd but in this tablet, its just dies down after a certain %
I thought it might be the SD card, then I inserted my Patriot Class 4 32GB card and same thing
I tried Air Droid and WTF, for both it shows ExtSD card is 11.76GB only!
Is there something wrong? or thats how kitkat is?

128GB card for I9301I

Hi, I was thinking about expanding my device memory via micro sd card and of course i aimed for 64GB BUT then I asked myself "hey, how about 128GB? great idea!". So here's my question: have anyone tried 128GB card in our S3 Neo?
It wont work ... s3 neo only supports up to 64GB
I am using 64GB
Works perfectly

Galaxy S3 Neo supports up to 64GB MicroSD card :/
Quick tip: If you're going to buy your SD card online beware of fake cards !!!
I think it can handle it because my old phone only supported 32 GB and I inserted my 64 one and after a short time I could usw it normally so it should work too.

Buy in online store, test SD card and return it if it does not work. If you live in EU i think you have 14 days to contact, return and get refund from item.

I tried. It won't work. It only see card and see it is 128 gb but you can't use it. Every time when you going to do something on your SD you will see notification with mistakes
