flashed tmobile firmware on and ls980 g2.. can i fix it? please help - Sprint LG G2

I flashed a stock 4.4.2 t-mobile firmware to my sprint ls980.. is there anyway to get any ls980 firmware back on it? i use it for tmobile which is why i flashed it but seen a few threads on how to unlock the sim and now im stuck. did i ruin the phone? or could i at least get it to work through tmobile with the firmware i flashed? i cant even get it to connect to google play. wifi works tho

Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

First: Grab the ZVE Tot file
Second: Flash it in download mode.
Good luck, flashing in download mode is rather a pain to do.

There is a DLL file that is generic that should overcome that problem.

Facing the same problem..please help
I've also done the same thing just a little bit different.
i flashed D802 (international version) kdz file over my sprint g2 (Model is LS-980) but it does not work, when i turn on the phone I can't even complete the setup and the phone restarts. touch panel is also not working right.
Now i've downloaded the stock .tot rom for sprint version and trying to flash it using lg flash tool in download mode. But it does not flash it. It detects my phone as D802 and gives the error about the model number does not match
I need help getting it back to LS-980

looking for that lg g2 sprint generic .dll file

Supposedly there's a stock .kdz which I can use to extract the .dll from, but I haven't found any stock .kdz file so far.
So, this generic .dll sounds great and one of my last options left. I'll appreciate if you can point me to that file. I'm going to try to find it.
Thanks a lot!!! :good:

I've tried this .dll file with both the stock ls980zvc and ls980zve .tot firmwares.
but the flash tool gives this error "CrossDL [D802] to [LS980]. SWversion"
Is there any way around this?

For the "Upgrade stopped due to an error", I had just struggled with it for four hours, and won. I believe it could be that the kdz file had been corrupted during downloading, then I remember that I have an older version kdz, choosed it then voila, I'm back to stock.
hey in download mode you can not flash stock rom the kdz is not corrupted i have same problem and i have tried different versions of kdz but non of them worked
ive got the same problem, so is there any help for that?

Where I can find kdz firmware of G4?

Right, I'm new to LG phones (not new to android though).
What's a kdz? Is it like a full software package for LG phones?

It's a full original LG ROM image. You can use it with LG Flash Tools to flash your phone. You can read more information about it here (but for now don't use it on the G4 until we know for sure that everything works at it should) -

[Q] Secure Booting Error

Hello!
I have just rooted my G3, and I thought I'd also flash custom recovery and unlock bootloader with Bump. However when I did that, and phone attempted to reboot, it doesn't boot and says "secure booting error". I know there had been many questions around this topic, but non had helped me. What is the easiest way to "undo" this? Unbricking? Unrooting?
Thanks for patience and help!
The easiest way is to use the kdz tool, you can follow this tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089

I don't know what does TOT stand for and personally I use the kds method, I think its the easiest.
You can download KDZ from here: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/
Kdz for the D855 on lollipop here: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/Lollipop+5.0/D855/
And just to let you know, bump only work on kitkat, so if you want to use bump you need to downgrade to kitkat before using it, otherwise you get this error

The letter after is the OS version, so for example if you watch the D855 lollipop folder you have:
D85519C
D85519H
D85520A
D85520H <-- This is the most recent
The higher the number and letter is, the newest the software is.
And if the name start with D855***, your device is compatible.
Hope this help, if you have any other question, don't hesitate

D850 wrong rom

Hi everyone in this incredible web!
I bought the LG G3 D850 AT&T kitkat (T-mobile logo on the back), and flashed the D855V Marshmallow with LGUP.
I get this message "current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc [310410] subset [FF]"
Since then the SIM card will get no signal. I've tried every possible thing to flash any rom that will work.
Anybody can help me, please??
Many thanks.
J.H.M.
I'd restore to stock KitKat and start over if I were you.

Have you confirmed if the device is truly ATT or T-Mobile? You should be able to double check under the battery. Once you know that, download the correct tot file, throw it in download mode and restore using the tot file.
Well dear. What my friends are sying is true you should flash a stock. Firmwere via downloading mode and it will be. Ok. If it still not working than. Go to mobile softweres shop the. Can make it good like u want

D85130g Downgrade can it be done or not

About to buy this phone and am getting mixed answers reading through the threads. Can the latest build (D85130g) be downgraded or will I get an error with the flash tool. Don't want to spend the money and be stuck on stock. I know kingo only works with earlier firmware.
Yes you Can.

Obviously. It's 3 years old. That being said, some of us are broke af and are buying it for the good specs. Despite the age
It still do the job well if hardware not failing. If you root it and put new software on it work as new so its very good.

I actually ended up buying it after confirming it could be downgraded. Ran lineage for a few days but despite being fast, was a little buggy for me. Currently running the stock 30g rom and aside from the crappy battery life, i have no complaints. This phone was definitely advanced for its time and gives new phones a run for their money. This phone is solid. 80$ well spent imo
I've been trying for 2 days to downgrade my G3 D851 and it will not flash using LGup or LG Flash tool 2014. The process starts, but always stops due to error. LGUP always shows Unknown Device [COM41, D85130e]. Have set port to 41 and random. Can anyone offer any solutions? Have tried tot and kdz.

i believe the flash tool I'm using is from this thread(https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667) under "kdz flashing method". Using a stock 30D kdz from one of these threads. I don't set the port to anything. Never fails for me. If it doesn't work I'll zip the exact one i have and upload when i get home. Where is it failing? What percentage?
Thanks. I finally succeeded with LGUP. Turned out when I downloaded and installed LGUP, it came with 8994 dll, and the D851 requires 8974 dll. It still didn't work with KDZ, but I got it to work with TOT. What a PITA!!! I don't envy anyone else trying to root D85130e without advanced knowledge. Thanks for your offer to help. Maybe this will help someone else that is having problems. The LGUP download with the 8974 dll is here. http://oceanhost.eu/545euinlq0hw/LGUP_LG_G3.zip.htm
