OmniROM for Nexus 10 (manta)
About OmniROM
See what OmniROM is all about: http://omnirom.org/about/
What do you need
To be able to install OmniROM you will need TWRP. Official TWRP causes some problems, so download
You will need a flashable GApps package (if you want Google services)
You need SuperSU if you want to have root access
See the Downloads part of this message for the needed packages
How to install
To install OmniROM please follow these instructions:
Do a factory reset / full wipe
Flash the OmniROM zip file, the BeansGapps ZIP file.
Reboot the tablet and enjoy OmniROM
Downloads for Omni 7.1
Below are the files you need for flashing OmniROM:
Download OmniROM http://dl.omnirom.org/manta/
Download TWRP https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=961840155545587690
Beans GApps https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=171927
SuperSU from Chainfire: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
There are some things that you need to know
before using Omni 7.1:
Official TWRP causes some problems with SELinux on a first flash with GApps. Please use the TWRP version provided in the download section above.
If you are on a HOMEBUILD version and want to go to a WEEKLY build, you will have to do a factory reset first.
You can flash GApps only ONCE. If you flash a new build, you do not need to flash GApps again. Just let the backup script do its work. If you do "dirty" flash GApps, you might get crashes. The only thing to do then is to fully wipe your data partition.
If you reflash GApps without doing a factory reset first, you will have problems
Enjoy OmniROM

Thanks. I installed this a couple days ago and it's running smoother than stock was. Less lag, and certain apps were bogging down and freezing on me after 5-10 minutes, no more (Flipboard for one). Which is curious, unless this has some performance improvements. Omni has always run smoother on my manta than any of the other custom roms.

Glad to see this topic
Installed the first versions you published in your 4.4 topic, going to upgrade to this new version
Great job and thanks for your hard work!
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app

Flashed this on top of Lollipopalooza (dirty flash) and so far everything seems to work just fine. Feels a little bit snappier than before (which Antutu seemed to confirm).

I have uploaded a new version. This includes a renewed power menu and volume popup.

Nice rom. Extended power menu and transculent status + nav bar makes my wife happy )

Hmmm my last build has some audio problems (audio not playing). This weekend i will make another build that solves it.

I will flash anyway as I don't use audio on it
My N10 is now integrated into my living room table to control my future house and my Home Theater

I'm getting some serious battery drain. Checked battery and it looks like Miscellaneous is the cause. Anyone else having this issue or know a fix?

You should install a better battery monitor. I can recommend gsam and the gsam root companion app. Let the nexus charge fully and do a full power cycle. After that check gsam for more in depth info for what is causing your wakelocks.

upped from Omni nightly
thanks for the effort, looking good so far!

New version uploaded

New version uploaded. I did not have time to test this, as there are no GApps for this available yet and i need my tablet for work.[emoji6]

Thanks Scanno, thats a quick turnaround to release a 5.1 ROM. Will test it later today.
FYI: Xposed isn't compatible yet with 5.1, which is kind of a shame if any user hasn't heard yet.

The difference between 5.0 and 5.1 is not that big so they could be merged rather quickly compared to the jump from 4.4 to 5.0.

Seems like my 5.1 build is working [emoji6]
Pa Gapps has a beta gapps version for 5.1

looks like banks gapps have also been updated to 5.1, from a nexus 6 base: http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps
will test asap
EDIT: all seems well, impressive battery life in deep sleep now, was not so good on 4.4 Omni, thanks again for the hard work m8

Really nice work, it's running smoothly and by far better than the old 4.4 rom. Only thing I'm missing at the moment is Xposed, but time will come

oops! soory.. didnt read it, out of excitement
Thanks for the build
Next build will be when some major changes in sources come out. This will be done side by side with Xperia L (that still has 4.41).
No Recents because no sources out yet.
Lastly as for official support, AOSPA-Legacy team isn't accepting more devices due to lack of resources. Yet I'll continue to maintain it, but as I have college and other priorities, updates might be delayed. But yeah whenever something new and major comes out, I'll try to update as soon as I can. That's a promise.
Request pls!!
Can anyone upload this rom to mediafire pls xda gives me problem always!! Plss anyone?
Edit: no one?
Was trying this build for the past couple of days, and this seems to be a pretty good rom. Battery backup and deep sleep is too good, I got over 5 hours of screen on time before the battery went below 10%.. Couldn't find any bug so far, great job!
And to those who are experiencing low incall volume while on call, just flash the new sound patch for cm11, and everything will be perfect!
no features...
Someone Re-Seed the Torrent?? Please?

Disclaimer
I'm not responsible for any damages on your device.
The focus is to optimize the ROM in many areas and compiled it with custom toolchain Uber for more performance and smoothness.
SlimRoms was choosen as a base because it is a lightweight and not a bloated ROM, but it still has rich features. Combined with some of CM features, I bake a ROM that has more useful features but still lightweight.
The ROM and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understanding.
Installation instructions
Coming from stock or another ROM:
Full wipe: system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash the SlimSaber build.
Flash gapps from here
Flash latest SuperSU from here
Coming from previous SlimSaber build:
Flash the SlimSaber build.
No need to wipe dalvik-cache. The system will do it anyway if it needs to.
No need to re-flash gapps. Gapps will be restored back automatically by backup tool during flashing.
Known Issues
"Prevent accidental wake up" display option causes black screen when incoming call comes in

I was thinking about seeing about maybe being official. Considering this ROM is slightly modified the slimlp dev team might not let me. Either way, I think this is a pretty solid ROM. It doesn't have a lot of customizations, but its pretty darn close to aosp code.

I'll retry a clean flash later, back on Bliss for now - but obviously I must have done something wrong there
I can dig how it users nebula kernel right off the bat, very cool addition to the d851 lineup
I did a clean flash of
Slim-d851-5.1.1.beta.0.8-UNOFFICIAL-20151002-1502
+ Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20150922
almost everything worked ok but Clock, when tried to setup or edit an alarm just crashed, tried twice, clean flashes wiping all except internal & external.

No problem - I've been wanting to find a ROM that supports Bluetooth LE (apart from the stock ROM) so if it works here, that'd be really amazing! I have a bluetooth LE device so I can test it out and see if it does work.
Thanks for releasing this rom @aclegg2011. I've been testing it for a few days now and it's my daily driver. Everything available works. Except rro layers but thats less important. 39c idle temp when I was always running at 50c before and the battery lasted 24hrs of normal usage the first day I installed it.
*edit*
I'm using open gapps pico. I also have still not gotten voice recognition working but I'm pretty sure other people have.
Everything working perfect with opengapps. I tried slimgapps but had clock fcs.
Feature Request for Contacts app:
- There is not Groups tab on Contacts so cannot make any group operation like send a message to a group.
- Custom Fields, would be very good to be able to add custom fields.
Very good job done with this rom, actually more than a very good job, but to be perfect should have my feature request made real:laugh:

News 2016-10-26: Updated with patch fixing "Dirty COW" (CVE-2016-5195).
Built from stock RR github repo.
You need an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery installed
I suggest to update to TWRP-3.1.0-0 or later.
If you use TWRP-3.0.2-0, you have to reinstall (pico) GApps every time after you installed the new ROM.
How to install:
Enter recovery mode
Factory reset
Flash below ROM
Optionally flash Gapps. I suggest the pico OpenGapps package due to space constraints of the system partition
Reboot
Enjoy
Starting with version 5.7.0 OTA updates are supported (see screenshots)

Thank you. Bad timing, though, since RR 5.7.0 went just out today. I also added OTA support
now, so you might better give 5.7.0 a try

Hi guys,
I added a hint to the OP in terms of using TWRP-3.0.2.0. If you reinstall GApps as well, the problem should be alleviated.

Hello, this ROM is stable or in beta version?
Thank you!

RR 5.7.0 is a stable release, the underlying CM is nightly (no stable CM releases since 2016-04-18).
Anyway, my manta is running it, too, and it's pretty stable for me

Hi! Thanks for the amazing, swift rom. Just a question. I haven't been able to use google now on tap. Does RR support it?

I never used nor use Google Now so I don't know for sure. From what I gather on the OpenGapps wiki you have to install at least the "micro" package to get this functionality. The pico package only contains the bare essentials.

You were right, I couldn't install the micro package but the nano package gave me the google now functionality. Thanks!
I installed 2.8.7 TWRP. I did a factory reset (which took longer than normal) and flashed the rom and gapps. It did not take me to the normal start up (select language etc) that I normally see after I flash a rom. Furthermore it had all of the apps that were installed on the previous rom. In about tablet it says I have the rom installed. I also keep getting "unfortunately google play services has stopped." Bad download? Bad flash? Any tips would be appreciated.

Wiping the cache (which is performed by recreating the filesystem) really takes surprisingly long on this board. However, what you describe above sounds like you didn't wipe the data partition.
To get a clean state, enter TWRP again and make sure to wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache and Data. Then install the RR zip and your Gapps of choice and reboot. This worked for me as expected lots of times, so I'm reasonably confident that it works as desired.
HTH,
Corinna
I did this and everything looks the same.

Hmm, this is puzzeling. Are you sure installation worked? No error messages? Did you try installing the pico or nano Open GApps package or a bigger one (which might not work due to the small system partition)?
Last chance, wipe your system partition as well before reinstalling.
HTH,
Corinna
Everything goes good during flash can not keyboard to work. Tried the gaps on the website for 6.0 not working. Any other happy available that works. Thanks for the ROM and help.

Is it in bugs list? Yes? Then it doesn't work.
VoLTE is not my priority.

New update
Sorry for the long waiting, I had planned to release this before but I've been busy.
This new build contains a lot of updates:
A lot of ROM changes (both XenonHD and LineageOS) and November 5th security patches
Device trees have been synced with @Alberto97's ones (check the repositories for a detailed changes list)
There's no more assert check "hack": this means that, in order to flash this, you must use latest TWRP version
It still an experimental builds, so flash it at your own risk.
Download link: https://mirrors.c0urier.net/android...ental/lux/XenonHD-171209-Experimental-lux.zip.
Please let us know what's are working

What about volte
Thanks for the effort, but I do not see the point in launching ROM when the basics are still not working, neither Footej works on this rom, although beta other roms work the camera very well, I think they should work on it before releasing another version yet that beta, including others already working in version 8.1, that is, they jumped to 8.0 going to 8.1.
