Modded OLV for Broken Select buttons & SMS Notifier addon for Open LiveView
This is a very helpful addon if you guys have a liveview with a broken select button. I recently bought a liveview MN800 and dropped it. That is when the select button stopped working. Except for incoming calls , it never notified me of anything else. That is when I decided to pull the Open LiveView repo and this is a small addon.

Prerequisites
1. Obviously you have to have your liveview
2. You must have the Open LiveView installed from the Playstore Click here to get it.
Install it and open OLV and add this app to the whitelist filter.
What does it do?
It notifies you of incoming messages. It wakes up the live view screen and displays the sender's name or number and the message text. This is pretty much an alpha release. Its really helpful for those of you with broken select buttons. You won't feel the need toopen the notifications manually.

This is still under progress.This is only for users with borked select/menu button (The right hardware button) This is highly unstable. Long press the up key to enter the menu. Press the down key to select a menu item.
Note : A few of the menu items don't work. Currently play, pause , next and battery status work.

Very interested in this, not because of a broken select button, but because I'm using my LV as a phone display on my motorcycle. I don't want to have to take my hands off the bars to see notifications (particularly phone calls and texts). If they could pop up automatically and illuminate the screen, that would be great!
Now I just need a music player plugin that will simultaneously show notification pop-ups.
For now only messages and calls pop up automatically. I'm still working on a custom firmware. Will post soon.

Had to request my password for this post, long time no see on this forum.. I'm using it too. But the menu fix doesn't work for me. Do i have to do something more than just installing the OpenLiveView from te openingpost? my liveview doesnt go in the menu when longpressing up. (Menubutton broke.. )

installing the openliveview attached , should work . I'm using it on my broken liveview.

Found a weird bug, if i turn on the OLV SMS plugin in accessibility. Certain Text-to-Speech functions turn on.. when I click 'edit page' on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it tells when my workspace #.
Anyone else experiencing this too?
when i restarted my note it shows me that talkback is enabled but i have uninstalled that already???

I don't know if this was already discussed, but Total Commander ADB plugin + BT debugging allows to install any APK on Moto 360 I've just installed ES File Explorer & Antutu, both work. ES File Explorer has full access to SD Card & working photo gallery.

Hi!
Some interesting findings so far: the single mechanical button on Moto 360 is, actually, standard android "Home" button , while swiping from left to right - is not "app closing", but simple "Back". Android Wear - is just a launcher, like Google Home or Trebuchet.
I'm in search now for working "normal" launcher, Nova & CM11 Trebuchet force close, Google Home requires Google Search that force closes also.
Just got my Moto 360 today It looks like Android Wear will force close with anything that has an ActionBar.

If this is the case shouldn't, in theory, Apex work if the ActionBar is removed or hidden?
ok. i found something too!!!
Go to settings-about- and hit constantly the build number so you can become a developer.
After go back to developer options and there you can find STAY AWAKE WHEN CHARGING and you can turn it off or on. Below are settings to turn on the bluetooth debugging

This smartwatch works with any phone with Android 4.0 and above.

Huawei and other Chinese manufactures have a lot of preinstalled apps and system features. One of them is power management. This will kill any suspicious background process and so you will not be able to communicate with the watch.
Solution:
This app is developed by me on a huawei just for this purpose - use brutal mode

Seem nice But can you provide the actionable notification like we have in Wear system ?
Ex : Calendar (Calengoo) have snooze option (Snz 5, Snz 10, Snz 30......) and we have not this option on all notification system for the SW2. Aquamail Extension offer the "Mark as read", it is nice but just for this app.

Sorry I dont understand the question. Are you refering to options on the notification? Every notification you read on the smartwatch has 2 options. One is to dismiss the notification from the device and smartwatch(delete basically), and one is to open it like you would have clicked it. For example your can open a Messenger notification and when you unlock the phone the app si already present on the screen, ready to type.
Also "mark as read" is present on the app and can be used for multiple smartwatch notifications.

Ex from Calengoo : Notification options are :
- Dismiss
- Open in phone
- Snooze 5min
- Snooze 10 min
- Snooze 15 min
(all snooze that you set in Calengoo app)
On Wear or on "pebble notification Center" I have all this option. On SW2 I have only the basic notification :
- Dismiss
- Open in phone.
For Aquamail for exemple, on standard app notification for SW2 I have also standard notification
- Dismiss
- Open in phone
but not a "mark as read"
so we can dismiss the Aquamail phone notification but the mail is not marked "as read" in mail app.
We can also set to have "archive" in mail notification option. We have all this option in Wear but not in all SW2 notification app

Installed and tested your app. It do not works, when read or dismiss notification from the SW2 with your app, the Android phone notification are not dismissed et stay on phone status bar. So app do not do the job and can not be used for notification system on SW2
Echofon Pro, Stopwatch&Timer+ -> dismiss from watch and even with "Erase" on watch -> notification stay on phone.
Maybe you can correct before I leave a review on PlayStore ?

Hello,
Sure we can talk on skype and see whats going on there. First I would recommend to enable brutal mode from the settings window.
Also, there is a option that will NOT allow notifications if the screen is turned on.
There are some apps on the notification screen that don't have any action assigned to it.
But to dismiss everything should work.
Please provide more info about the android system version and the device you are using

What you are asking cannot be developed so easy.
I tested the stop watch app and the notification that its using is custom. So the notification system for the smartwatch will work for all standard notifications from the device. It cannot guaranty that every app can be supported.
But I'll give it a try. Basically you want the dismiss option from the phone notification to be accessible from the watch. I'll do a update in a few days

Yes simply dismiss phone notification when erase/dismiss from the SW2.
SW2 system have serious issue with notification maybe to old ? other watch : Wear, pebble, Samsung Gear...can dismiss phone notification in same time dismiss watch notification.
Got my SW2 since three months and it has some flaws with my P8.
The SW2 app sometimes does not launch despite the fact I protected it from the RAM optimiser, some apps won't launch and/or install, notifications sometimes won't sync (Probably because of Informer...), watch won't connect to phone until I reset it sometimes...
That's quite sad because it's an amazing watch. Because of that I might get the Huawei Watch in a near future.

You have to manually pick each app for which you want LED notifications, though, but this also prevents ANY notification from lighting up the flash (e.g. Google Maps during navigation and so on ...)

Hi guys,
I bought a Xiaomi 13 Pro recently for battery life and camera and I'm certainly happy with it! However, coming from an AOSP-ish experience I can't help but feeling very frustrated with the UI/UX of MIUI so far, setting up my new phone, especially:
1. Not being able to use full-frame gestures on third party launchers
2. The app manager cleaning my widget apps when I clean apps forcing them to close and not refresh widgets before I reload the app + reload the widget
3. Having to set up manually lockscreen notifications for every sub category of notifications within each and every app - by default, apps will not show lockscreen notifications and when the general toggle within the notification menu is switched on, I have to go into each notification subcategory to re-confirm my setting of actually having this notification show on the lockscreen in a secondary toggle - is there any way ALL can be selected to show on lockscreen = ON by default?
4. Lockscreen notifications disappearing when I unlock the screen once
5. Some apps just not working at all, like Tiktok (I'll write a different post on it)
6. Unnecessary bloatware I don't need
If you have any workarounds for any of these issues or know how to get something as close as AOSP as possible that would be very much appreciated, as much as I love the hardware of this phone, the software is difficult to manage and I don't want to end up selling the phone!

Possible,Try: settings/connection share/DNS
You won't have this problem with a Xiaomi Eu rom.
