Im using Asus Fonepad 7 (k012) Anroid version 4.4.2 and the problem is my wifi won't work after i factory reset using Power+Vol up.
The reason why i used factory reset i try to root it and i think i successfully work it because i use Root Checker. But when im using Xmod Games it says Fail to Root permission. I dont know the reason so i decided to use Factory Reset. And the problem started my wifi won't work, i can't on/off even detect network.

Try any Custom ROM for your phone
I actually got it fixed somehow by trying to root it. downloaded zenfone root apk 1.4.6r. ran it on airplane mode then after restart, the wifi just started working again.

Xmodgames doesnt work on x86 and x64 cpus (like the intel atom on the Asus Fonepad 7)
"2) Xmodgames does not support Bluestacks(or other Android emulators)/ASUS zenfone 5(or other intel-based processors)/X86/Samsung enforcing devices with Android Lollipop at present(Samsung enforcing solution please refer to NO.18). follow this guide
but skip steps 2, 3 and 4 in the ACTUAL PROCEDURE if you are NOT using lollipop and download the firmware file for the firmware you are currently using.

I have the same problem. Wireless does not turn, I see that has not mac address.
as I can fix it please.

I'll try to give as much information as possible.
Yesterday I was surfing the internet and suddenly my phone froze and randomly restarted. After that I wasn't able to connect to wifi nor bluetooth. I was running android 6.0 with 30B modem, rooted and with TWRP. After that I flashed Modem from v21C Firmware. I don't know if doing such was responsible for the next thing, but my Wi-fi mac adress and bluetooth adress disappeared from Hardware information. Note that my IMEI information did not disappear.
After that I did a full factory reset with .TOT method. That didn't solve my problem. Tried upgrading to lollipop, did not work. I've done like 10 factory resets only today, I've tried to fix persist partition following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/guide-to-fix-persist-partition-t2821576, same results.
In 4.4.2 and 5.0(all versions I tried from lollipop), both wi-fi and bluetooth adresses showed up as anavailable. Sometimes after rebooting, my phone would connect to wi-fi and show my mac adress, and would crash after 30 seconds..
On 6.0,my mac-adress shows as 02:00:00:00:00:00 and bluetooth adress as unavailable.. Need some serious help here, tried so much stuff nothing worked..
I'll attach some screenshots that may be useful

Adding some logs. Half a year passed, no solutions.
1 out of 100 reboots wifi works. I've gathered some logs of 1 of the moments wifi works. Hoping someone can figure something out. Tried lots of roms, nothing seems to work.
Forgot mentioning that both wifi and bluetooth show as trying to connect on notification bar, but when I go to settings and press on them, both say "turning on (wifi or bluetooth)" when the button is grayed out and off..
did you tried to use the cse flash in flashtool to fix this?

Did CSE flash, normal flash, TOT factory reset, wiping wifi's definitions.. Nothing seems to work :crying:
More info:
During the night, I removed the battery from the phone and booted my phone. After that Bluetooth would work, and Bluetooth adress would show up on "Hardware informations". Then, I turned off bluetooth and tried to put it back on. Bluetooth adress disappeared and my bluetooth would not turn on. Hope anyone helps..

I have an old twrp backup from boot and system partitions, do those contain them?
@myclarity while in twrp choose restore and check if your backup contain them

I have more than 20 twrp backup with efs, modem etc, nothing work. I also can't boot from cm13.

I think I found a solution but I can't test it since I'm having problems connecting my phone to my PC ( another problem appeared..)
May I ask yo to install busybox and try this on adb?
adb shell
su
busybox iplink show wlan0
and see if it shows your real adress, if it does
busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether (adress)
busybox iplink show wlan0

I'm having a very similar issue. Wifi and bluetooth won't turn on and cycle. On some reboots, Wifi will turn on but the phone will shut down shortly thereafter. I've tries several different ROM's and can fix the Wifi, but no the power not the shutting down.

I'm having the exact same problem but a bit worst. I can't even turn my phone on. Phone came back from repairing, guy couldn't fix it. Tried some rom's, many "fixes" from the internet, nothing. Seems like the only way to solve this will be by hardware..

even i was using stock 30b firmware and after one week of usage it suddenly crashed and stuck in bootloop hence downgraded to lollipop and tried all roms,factory reset,different modems etc but still not fixed

Guys I've sent my phone to a local repair shop and they said they took it to LG's official partner.. I've been waiting for a while and it doesn't look good.. A friend of mine bought a g3 recently. I suspect this problem comes from a corrupted or missing file. I'll ask him to help me on checking files if the local shop can't find a way to fix the phone. If everything fails, the only possible solution I see is a new main board or a new phone..

hey guys after i installed windows 10 mobile build 10586.63 every time i connect to my wifi it says no internet access
Note: i tried to hard reset my phone but the problem still continues
also every device in my home works fine with it and i changed the router and reset it but it cant connect ! Same message appears !
any one facing this problem or any solution ?

Have AdBlocker_Release_ARM_V5.3.xap installed? Tryed to restore hosts file, no succes, reflashed to 8.1 and updatet to wm10. Is the fault of hosts file.

Same here but after returning to 8.1 try to hard reset it will restore the WIFI...since that's what I have done.
If anyone can find the source of the problem and have a solution plz reply as hard resetting the phone is a bothersome to do

Ive been having the same problem on windows 10 mobile. Its ok though. Just leave the wifi connected and it should eventually work (3-5 minutes)

Hello guys, a year ago I tried root my phone and got bricked. After 2 weeks I finally fixed and came back to the stock rom. Since that day my WiFi is not connecting.
I'm able to search and find any network, but when insert the password, the phone try to connect, the signal go down, the message "connecting" appear, and after that appear as "saved" but not connected. I already tried to define a static IP address, but didn't work.
Can I broke the wifi firmware when tried to root for the first time?
Someone have an idea on what is going on?

Follow the unbrick guide method 2. Make sure you follow it right.. Don't skip any parts because it doesn't work. Don't see how you bricked the phone by flashing SuperSU but okay..

See if wiping system,flashing firmware, flashing rom, gapps, root works..

Hmm, if that and the unbrick isn't working then you might want to ask yourself it something is broken. Does it connect to other networks?

No I ve used several different hotspots to connect. The strange thing is that mobile data are working.

If that doesn't work try to flash ex kernel if i remember it correctly it changes something with wifi to.
If that doesn't work then It's broken or you can fix it by doing something else but dont know what, Good luck

After all of this, I installed MİUİ Pro ROM 7.12.14 , I tried to connect wifi , still same problem, wifi connected but there is no internet .
I modified static IP but still nothing.
How can I fix this wifi issue ? Pls I need help.
(Note : I tried two different working wifi point, there is a same problem )

Personally, I would flash in this order:
- latest LOS 14.1
- firmware
- gapps
Then wipe cache and reboot.
I assume you're also using the latest twrp?

my problem was a little bit different but it might help you. my wife and i are using mi5s 4/128gb. and we bought them from same website. we couldnt be avle to connect the same wifi in our house. i tried many different custom rom or stock rom but it didn `t solve it. i guess the person who sell the devices , put the same mac adresses to both device. so i figured out the problem with changing the mac adress. Now our devices are connecting any wifi hotspot without a single problem. :good:

My modem files erased when I did root my phone. Modem files need to write again. This is only solution . I will try to write modem files. After that I let you know.
TWRP backup so important, this case. Modem and other files must be protect with back up.

My modem files crushed. This files wrote again and phone back normally.
Back up files need to be archived before flash rom.
I learned my lesson , you guys be careful

I had something similar in my OnePlus 5.
Tried a lot of things but was unable to fix this.
Then in the end I flashed a Nougat build using MSM Tool, and then flashed each OOS version update either Full or OTA step by step. That is what fixed this issue for me.
