About
The WinDroid Toolkit is a Windows program built in Visual Studio using the C# programming language that simplifies the rooting process for many Android devices. The toolkit makes it easy to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and gain permanent root. It also includes other functions such as flashing kernels, pushing files and installing apps. If you find it helpful, give me a thanks and a donation if you can. If you find a bug or have a feature request, feel free to leave a reply. Thanks!

Hi,
As you said, I followed the procedure.
Bootloader is unlocked.
TWRP Flashed, but don't know whether it is flashed or not.
Flashed SuperSU
Next flashed ROOT image.
During this process, Windroid Toolkit forceclosed several times, but again opened and continued the process without problem. Using Windows 7 Ultimate OS
Finally when checked the ROOT access, it is saying it is NOT ROOTED
Boot loader is unlocked, no doubt. I want root access.
Plz check logs and solve my problem.

does this work on the dual SIM model? thanks!

Great work.
Keep it up.

@WindyCityRockr
I followed exactly as instructed on Windroid Tool Kit
Successfully unlocked device
Flashed TWRP
Flashed SuperSu
but after flashing supersu device rebooted and screen stuck on "no command" with android in stress logo. after long time when device didnt rebooted sucessfully I long pressed power button to turn it on.
After turning on I neither found supersu in app drawer nor my device reboot in custom recovery instead it reboot in stock recovery.
My device running lollipop 5.0.2 and model dual sim xt1068
Please help

It sounds like the toolkit may have disconnected from your device while flashing but didn't realize it. One thing you can try is to connect your phone to your PC when it's in Android, then go to the Commands tab in the toolkit, then on the left in the Reboot box click the Bootloader button. Once you're in the bootloader, try flashing TWRP again. If it flashes correctly, you can move on to flashing SuperSU. If it still doesn't work, you may have to try flashing them manually.

That would be convenient. However you can easily flash any bootlogo. A quick Google search will help.
I made this one you can flash with twrp.

Thx for your response @Holyoblation I fixed the bootlogo warning using another tool and I though It would be useful to have the same option in this tool. Thats it

Root for T2 Ultra Dual

Ok. Finally, there is a way to root your phones without unlocking the bootloader.
Please download vroot from below link:
You need to have USB debugging switched ON in your phone.
http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
and run it from PC.
Note: I had to run this tool from PC twice to make it work. The same could happen with you. Its 100% working!

Below are the steps to overcome your difficulty...
1) root using vroot, i suppose u have already done this.
2) install super su.
3) disable vroot by going to settings>apps>all apps. Find vroot, click and then disable it.
4) run super su. It will give a prompt to update su. Select yes and then select normal.
5) your phone might boot abnormally. If it does run super su again. And then again follow the previous step.
6) finally you will see that super su has become your main su app and then you can enable vroot.
7) run super su again and then it will show conflict between vroot and super su. If it does, uninstall vroot from within super su.
Thats all. Do give your feedback. Its very important to disable vroot app to make super su the default app.

Hi,
Please answer below questions:
1) Were you able to successfully root t2 ultra using vroot? Please install "root checker" app and then let me know.
2) If root was successful, did you disabled the vroot app from settings>>apps>>all apps>>vroot befor running SuperSU?
Thanks

I cannot understand the meaning of joy in backing up TA keys.
This method is very good for people who do not want to unlock the bootloader and still want root functionality.
The major issues that i was able to solve since yesterday in my rooted phone are:
1) Solved the low sound problem
2) Made Superior Auto camera mode work in full 13MP resolutions.
3) Install the latest Android L theme for rooted phones.
4) Install the Screen off animation.
5) Activated the in built call recorder in T2 Ultra.
Possibilities are endless. Will come up with more items. And yes, for now atleast I don't need to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks

First of all you need to root your phone.
1) Low sound problem was solved using Sound Mod which is available in CWM thread by doomLord.
2) Installed Xposed framework and then installed Cyber-shot xposed module to enable to 13MP in superior auto mode.
3) This is available in Gizmobolt.com homepage. For complete fun, rooting is required.
4) Xposed module named ScreenOffAnimations.
5) Again used Xposed module for the same.
Thanks

Yes ... u are correct. But atleast we have a root.
However, you are correct. Working as root without unlocking the bootloader seems a bit risky too. If something goes wrong for eg. bootloop etc. there might be no way to recover. Am I correct?

Sure. You have to go back to 5.1 (there is no method to root 6.0 without TWRP yet). Just download the KDZ for your specific device (You have H815 EU?) and flash it via LGUP. You'll find how to do it in this thread.
If you're back on 5.1 root it using this method, flash TWRP afterwards (2.8.7.0 - You'll find a lot of threads how to flash TWRP, I personally flashed it with flashfire - very easy).
After TWRP and root installed properly go to this thread and follow the instructions - et voila: Rooted 6.0
At least that's one way that worked very well for me Good luck. Don't hesitate to ask questions, but, in fact, there should be everything you need in the threads I gave you. Cheers
EDIT: If you're on rooted and have TWRP Recovery installed + 6.0 (I personally don't know how to achieve that without doing it my way, then you can also use this article - It's actually the same like the autoprime thread)
maybe with the efortless method? injecting root into a MM rom and flashing it?
If your bootloader is unlocked like you said: Flashing TWRP via fastboot should be no problem (don't forget to enable usb-debugging in developer options). After you booted into it, flash SuperSU 2.52 (currently latest beta) and this is all you need normally. Also you can flash the modified kernel from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/kernel-t3232651, or a more modified kernel (same developer) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/kernel-t3213145
This should root your phone asap.

Didn't I mention 2.52 BETA for SuperSU? *scratch* 2.46 is working on LP (5.x.x) but you need 2.52 for MM (6.x.x). Chainfire did this update mainly for it. 2.60 is also out, if you want: Link - Changelog: Link.

For everyone who's phones aren't being recognized, it's possible that the included ADB drivers don't handle Asus phones well. Try installing the latest Asus ADB drivers from here and see if it works better.

Hello guys!
I flashed Marshmallow for the K4 note from http://www.techolite.com/35528/lenovo-k4-note-marshmallow-6-0-update-official.html and it works smoothly with some bugs here and there.
Okay so coming to the bootloader unlock part,
After flashing Marshmallow, which definitely works,
Enable Developer Options in the Setting by tapping on 'Build Number' under About Phone in settings in Device Information
Then go back
Now you'll see a new option called 'Developer Options'
Click on it
Check for 'Enable OEM Unlock'
then move the switch to 'ON'
Enable USB Debugging
Connect your device to the PC
then open command prompt
navigate to adb(You need adb and fastboot)
now under command prompt type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
now your phone will reboot to Fastboot Mode
Now in CMD type 'fastboot OEM Unlock'
then on your device,
Press the 'Volume UP button'
your device will be formatted and will reboot to fastboot again.
Press and hold the Power button and it will shut down and then press and hold again and your device will start
NOTE:-This Bootloader unlock must be performed by advanced users, Also the Marshmallow ROM can't be rooted using kingroot Thats the only downside.. But still..
I tested this 'RIGHT NOW' and just typed this thread in case a developer can now create ROMs and stuff.
This is my first 'Development Related thread' so if this isn't the right place to place it, please move it if necessary
Do press THANKS if this helped you in any way.

Yeah sure
But could you share its screenshot or a pic by other phone
Just do this
Connect your bootloader unlocked phone to pc
Usb debugging on
In cmd type adb rebbot bootloader
Now in fastboot mode type
fastboot getvar all
Now provide pic of the result of this command.
I recommend adding a text of your name on pic so to avoid other's claim but don't place any text to hide any info other than IMEI.
Good news friends unlocked boot loader in lollipop ROM and installed twrp recovery and it worked.
Sadly phone after 3-4 boots got stucked in bootloop and had to reflash stock ROM.
So I think the days are very near for our phone with custom recovery installed.
The countdown has started friends.

[Root/Magisk] [BQ Aquaris X2 / X2 PRO] Without Custom Recovery [Stock ROM]

Hey there!
I don't own this device anymore!
There will be no updates from me anymore.
This is how to Root the BQ Aquaris X2 / X2 PRO without a Custom Recovery like TWRP!
This is more or less a workaround until an official TWRP recovery will be available.
*** WARNING ***
This will work for the following builds:
- 1.3.0 -> 1.7.2
Requirements:
- ADB/Fastboot + Drivers
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Working Brain
How to:
Unlock Bootloader:
Unlocking Method
Our Aquaris X2 PRO is locked and needs to be unlocked before flashing anything.
STEPS:
1. Connect your phone to your PC using ADB.
2. > adb reboot bootloader
3. Your phone will now enter the fastboot mode
4. > fastboot flashing unlock
5. Your phone will be unlocked.
*** Make a backup of all your data as it might get erased during the process***
*** Warning***
After you unlock the device, it will become less secure. Your personal data might be leaked or lost.
Please think twice before flashing your phone and do it at your own risk.
Root / install Magisk:
Step 1:
Download the latest Magisk Manager from this Link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
And install the APK File.
Step 2:
Download the patched boot image for your firmware version (See attached screenshot):
Aquaris X2 PRO
Version 1.3.0_x:
https://tt-services.de/xda/aquarisx2pro/patched_boot_1.3.0.img

---
Aquaris X2 Thanks to tomparr for providing the images!

Version 1.4.0_x:

Version 1.7.1_x:
https://tt-services.de/xda/aquarisx2/patched_boot_1.7.1.img
Step 3:
Use ADB to boot into Bootloader:
> adb reboot bootloader
Now try if the patched Boot Image will work for you:
> fastboot boot <<path to boot image>>
Now the Device should boot with this Image.
Check if the device will boot as expected and take a look at the Magisk Manager APP to check if everything has succeeded.
Sometimes this will not always work as expected. If your device stuck at the Android one screen try to flash the image directly (See next step)
If so you can flash the Boot image with the folowing Steps:
> adb reboot bootloader
> fastboot flash boot <<path to boot image>>
Done! :fingers-crossed:

works for me too. thanks.

Well I tested it now with the "fatboot boot [image path]" and it doesen't work. It gets stuck in the android one logo.
Could you fix it or do you need more information?

You can use the official firmware located here:
https://www.bq.com/de/support/aquaris-x2/support-sheet
Download the 1.4 firmware zip file and extract the boot image manually from there.
