[Q] Chinese Lenovo S-90-T sisley need to root - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Bought this phone in China - it has all sorts of restriction. I would like to upgrade it with a new rom.
I tried using :
diaggetroot
rootGenius
Rootkit
kingoroot
iroot
running superuser and google playstore:
all have failed - using the latest ( as of 03/2015) updates for the individual attempts.
Anyone successfull?
please share your solution!

For Lenovo 98% success rate is by using VRoot/iRoot PC thro USB cable to device One click root solution.(Google for the apps but you need to enable USB Debugging on phone first)

Kingroot will do it enable your USB debugging and on your internet let it be on 3g then try the kingroot
Also vroot PC version can do the job

How to root Motorola Defy with Froyo Upgrade

UK Retail Motorola Defy with Froyo ugrade rooted using Superoneclick.
Previously hade Eclair rooted with Z4Root working great.
Z4Root couldn't touch Froyo upgrade.
Here's what I did.
Download Superoneclick Version 2.1.1. Don't use earlier ones.
Unzip Superoneclick & goto the extracted directory.
Before running Superoneclick.
1) Install Busybox version 1.19.2. Not 1.19.3, didn't work for me.
2) On the phone goto Settings/Applications/Development and make sure USB debugging is ticked i.e. ON
3) On phone goto Settings/SD card & phone storage and Unmount the SD card.
Plug the phone in to the USB port. Ensure the USB mode is None. i.e. no card access, no media access no portals & tools.
Run Superoneclick. Hit the ROOT button and let it do that magic thing.
Once Superoneclick has rooted the phone.
Deselect USB debugging.
Mount the SD card.
Reboot the phone.
Happy rooting.
caveats.
I initially tried this with the phone USB mode set to Portal & Tools. Didn't work.
Thank you to the developer(s) of Superoneclick. And a middle finger to Motorola for waisting my time. Now I can get rid of the junk Apps.
I remember that I never use step 3 above and it work just like that playing with the USB debugging mode ON and OFF twice while Superoneclick is accessing the system to get the phone rooted.
I used superoneclick version 1.9 I think and it installed the busybox for me...I just had to enable USB debugging when it said waiting for device

This may seem simple but are you sure the phone has USB debugging enabled? It's only turned on when the Nitro is in "PC Mode" in the USB mode settings.
ADB *should* detect the phone regardless of firmware.
Try using a different USB port. If you are using a USB 3.0 port on your computer, try a USB 2.0 port or vice versa.
USB debugging is definately enabled. I think driver install is bad. Where in device manager is phone I only see under drive? Ill reinstall driver with path to LG drivers again

I'm not sure what you're saying here - are you saying that you can see the removable storage for your phone's memory card?
Figured It Out
I finally figured it out. It was a driver issue. I used USBdeView to uninstall the USB drivers. Then installed LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6. Then I installed the LGMobile Support Tool and ADB finally recognized the device. SuperOneClick worked fine and rooted quickly after that. Now running CM9 nightly. Thanks for support and assistance. The "how to root" instructions should be updated to include the versions of files that work best and include LGMobile Support Tool as well.

For the lava products there is no official drivers available, so for the recognising tablet pd-driver and adb driver must installed on PC.

H30-U10, Honor 3C alternative way to root using Root Genius

Hello Honor 3C owners,
When using Vroot to root my international set of the Honor 3C i encountered a problem that my 3C wasn't getting rooted and that the vroot tool kept on telling me that the root failed, so after a day of searching the net I finally came across an alternative way to root my international set of the 3C using Root Genius.
These are the things you need to do to root using Root Genius:
1. Just connect your phone to your pc using a Micro USB cable.
2. Make sure you have your phone connected as a MTP device you can change this when you connect your phone to your pc, you'll see a notification saying ''touch for other USB options.'' Just select MTP.
3. Make sure you have your phone connected using USB debugging you can turn on USB debugging in settings under developer options, Developer options can be turned on by going to settings then going to About phone and then tapping Build number a few times.
4. After you've done all this you can start up Root Genius and run it, and after it has found your device you can click the root button and it will root. Don't worry if your phone turns off/or restarts that's part of the process.
5. After all of this it will probably say Root completed!
So I am posting this for everyone having problems with rooting their Honor 3C device. By the way if you have questions about installing roms, flashing, unlocking bootloader or rooting you can always ask me!
(And for further things about your Honor 3C you can go to xperia_rebel's post at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2773098.
I found this Root on http://www.Gizbeat.com.

SM-P607T bad root issue

I have a P607T currently running Android 5.1.1. I have reset the tablet and installed root checker, and it says that "Root access is not properly operating or granted on this device" and says that KingUser is installed. I had previously used Kingroot to root a previous version of Android, but not sure why it is still installed. I am trying to figure out how to remove KingUser, but there is no icon and it does not show up in the app manager. I tried installing kingroot again and it shows in the app manager as a system app. Kingroot can no longer root my device on Android 5.1.1. I downloaded the 5.1.1 android rom for my device, but when I try to install it tells me that the footer is wrong and that signature verification failed and stops the install and reboots. One additional note, I have never been able to connect the tablet via USB to a pc, it has never shown up as a device or usb drive, so anything that requires me to connect to a pc won't work for me. (It charges fine, via usb and I have changed out the USB connector, but still no pc connection).
If you can follow my ramblings... I am just trying to get my tablet to be able to play movies and video from paid services, but it won't let me since it thinks the device is rooted. So does anybody have any ideas on how I can un-root my non rooted tablet or hide the root from VUDU, Fandango, Amazon, Netflix, etc.?
Have you tried a factory reset?
Yep, first thing I tried. I think kingroot or something wrote it's executable to the part of the system that doesn't get reset/overwritten on a factory reset.
Sorry to hear, try flashing all stock firmware from samsung from samsungs websight, flashing w samsungs flashing software.
