Need to know the location of internal Gsm antenna - Sony Xperia ZL

My mobiles network signal picking capability has drastically reduced after i have opened the backcase. I guess my internal gsm antenna has been damaged after i have opened the case. Please tell me the location where internal gsm module is located in our mobiles motherboard. It would be easy for me to understand if anyone could take a image and post it.
Thnks in advane

I definitely don't want to open my phone to take a photo, but here is a picture from a service manual. I marked the actual antenna assembly on it. You can also download the full set of ZL service manuals here.

Thanks a lot for the link. Highly informational. Opened my mobile for looking for any damages to the antenna. Previously, when i had given my phone to a local service center for a microphone issue. The have modded the circuit and seems that they have damaged the antenna in the process. I have searched online for getting a spare antenna but in vain. Could you please guide me online where i could get a spare.

Just a thought... Why not take it back to the repair shop? If there are signs of them damaging the antenna, try pushing them to fix it.
Also, some things can be fairly easily repaired at home. Having no idea what the damage actually is, it's hard to say, but creative thinking and a good handywork can go a long way...

htc droid incredible teardown

im trying to repair a friend's incredible of mine and he said that ever since he replaced his cracked screen the power button hasn't been able to turn on the phone. So what i did is try to open the phone up myself and see if he is missing any parts from the mobo. If you guys have any pictures of the mobo of this phone it would help me identify what could be wrong.

You're best bet it to try to find copies of the FCC approval teardown. Often, but not always, they're floating around out there.

alright thanks and i actually did figure out the problem. There's a small part missing from the power button that keeps the phone from turning on. I was able to use a small object to poke it and it works. but i will need those fcc approval teardown pics. so thanks for the suggestion

Broken WiFi and Bluetooth

Hi all. My phone felt on the floor from 1,5 metres and now I get errors while trying to switch on bluetooth or wifi. I wiped all, flashed stock rom with stock boot.img and already done all can I do in terms of software modifications.. Also I deassembled it to be sure any cable is disconnected. In fact seems that all is ok . Surely is an hardware fault but I don't know where wifi and bluetooth hardware is. Can anyone help me telling me where they are ? Maybe with a photo of the internal part of the hox to indicate them.. Maybe I didn't look with attention for a disconnected cable or a broken part..
Also my cpu is unable to go in deep sleep now..
Please help me guys

Google for a YouTube tutorial on changing screen or something, they often explain what each part is as they are disconnecting or reconnecting

this video is for screen replacement but it shows how to remove and replace mobo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIeO0DueMcg
I hope you are not thinking of buying the mobo in the ebay link? it states "untested", "moisture sticker activated" and "ripped cable"!!

Don't know which country you are in, but they are going for about £70 on UK site. Alternatively have you considered just buying the antenna boards? I have seen those going on UK eBay for just under £15

PM'ed you

does anyone have a jtag dump of i747 or i747m?

please help.
Thanks:good:
JTAG dump??
I'm not sure what you are asking but JTAG is not a kind of "firmware" or "software" on your phone.
You may find a JTAG being visible either under the battery or near the SIM/SDCard holder, its a circuitary pin-layout hidden, one may have to dismantle the back cover, usually 6 gold pins in a cluster close together.
It is that, using a special hardware box that has a vast-array of cables with designated pins (depending on hardware manufacturer), along with specialized software which would be specifically made for that particular handset.
The micro-code instructions are emitted by the hardware box attached to the cable, clipped in position on top of the JTAG pin-outs, which sends a signal to some part of the chip to revive it, and then from there, a appropriate firmware can get flashed into place using this method.

Xperia ZL - Hardware Diagram

Hey guys.
Someone has the hardware diagram of the Xperia ZL?
I would try to change the cellular antenna module. I'm having trouble with weak signal and I've tried various ROMs without success.
I believe that may be a problem in antenna.
Anyone have any suggestions or know to inform the position of the antenna?
You can find hardware info in service and repair manual from Sony.

Thank you! I was looking for this information for a long time.
Knowing the correct position of the antenna I could fix connection problems between the antenna and the motherboard.
This helped me to recover the cell phone signal was too weak.

Could some one explain what exactly the antenna looks like? If i follow the manual i just find an plastic piece that is moving freely up and down by it's own. Is that the one? It doesn't seem to have any electronics attached or doesn't seem to have any connectors either

It is a plastic piece placed on the bottom of the smartphone, on the left of the Gasket Vibrator.
You can see it in the attachment.

A recurring OnePlus 3 issue

Hey, this is my first post so please don't destroy me. I just wanted to ask for help. For the past 3-4 months, on every single Rom available here on xda, whenever I open my battery settings the phone freezes then the battery screen opens and it makes the phone freeze. I went to the service center thrice and after they flash the phone, the problem goes away but recurrs after every month no matter which rom I use. I can't visit the service centre. So I was hoping if there is a way to flash the stock image as they do in the service centre. I've tried different roms, factory reset on oxygen os. Nothing helps.
I guess power management chip in phone or load controller in your battery is not functioning. First get a battery from friend and see if its okay, otherwise service center guys may need to look at power management chip. Also why not clean batter contacts on battery and in phone.

If you are still covered by warranty, don't do it. Once you open your phone, warranty will be void.

I think that you have already tried OOS. Take it to the Service Center and insist on a final solution quoting the earlier instances and ask them to check the hardware.
