Where is specific posts for HTC Desire 820S model ? Even I tried to search in Search Engines for too many time , but I can't find Custom ROMS , ROMS , CWM , Rooting .I just only found out about HTC Desire 820 and HTC 820U models not 820S ?
How much differ between HTC Desire 820 models ?
HTC Desire 820S comes with Ugly Stock Andriod , not Sense UI ( only have HTC Bomsound and Blinkfeed )

I am using 820S.
You can check differences between 820 and 820S using google search "compare phone htc desire 820 and 820s".
The main difference is in processor make: 820 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 820S uses MediaTek MT6572.

I too have an HTC Desire 820s and have been looking all over for info on custom ROM, rooting etc. I'm also wondering whether there is much difference between the 820 and 820s whether the same sort of rooting method used for 820 could be done for 820s?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

me too just bought 820s dual it come with stock android no home sense also no boomsound i found it low and not like 816 is that normal or i have something with mine

I rooted my htc 820s using kingo root (different from king root) it was pretty simple and i was able to flash a cwm recovery also but have not found any compatible custom rom for it as of yet

Actually mine desire 816g ui is totally different from actual HTC interface. Sense ui is not available... the processor of 816g is of mediatek. Is d prob due to that?? I want to install the sense and hi of the desire 816. Is that possible??

The Desire 816, and the Desire 816g are two completely different phones. Different hardware all together. Nothing will be usable eon both phones.

why in the camera settings there is 8MP instead of 13Mp ???
And when I check my phone by CPU-Z , the detail of my cpu shown as octa core with 1.7 Ghz ??
And why my android in different with another htc desire 816 phones ???

my build number is 1.17.707.001 with android 4.4.2 and when I use check now from software update just say THERE ARE NO UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PHONE ...
really there is no update from my device ?
It is possible that a new version of android comes to my device ?
can I use something the same as android of desire 816 ?

your phone is only similar to 816 in name and appearance. so DO NOT use any files/methods from this forum on your phone!
your phone is newer than 816 so there will probably be a lot of updates for it in the future, you just have to be patient
