In installation it gave me a message in red E:Error executing updater binary in zip

N00B MOMENT!
Please disconsider.... My TWRP has an old version *sigh* i've updated and installed like a charm!

It is confirmed that CWM 6.0.4.7 (Philz) works with this ROM.
Want a quicker reboot after flashing?
Do this IMMEDIATELY after flashing:
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik (in Advanced)
Then reboot.
My reboot took only 2 mins after flashing.
Just performed a clean-install.
But cant get the GSM network connectivity.
This ROM is fantastic, very fast, great, get back again, you are a great great dev, congratulations.

Try turning off data, and then turn it back on. That worked for me.
If that doesn't work, then do a soft reboot.

I've tried with bank gapps and open gapps.. I think it's not the gapps itself but something else that when it tries to connect to Google servers, it comes back saying "can't connect at the moment, try again later" kinda thing...
The clock bug, it doesn't show the right time, apart from lock screen
The alarm also fails due to bug on clock

I'm using banks Gapps and I can connect just fine, so that's weird. Didn't have any trouble whatsoever.
Also my clock is showing the right time everywhere so that's weird as well. Just checked the alarm and for me that's the same, the alarm didn't go off. I'm sure Dennis will investigate.

What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you’d ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they’re “baked in” by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone’s settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Is the music player issue fixed in this ROM ?
Hello, I Clean installed ROM but mobile is in bootloop. I can see TWRP background flash in 1s and mobile reboot again. Must I update bootloader or something? Went from Temasek 17.6. I can go in TWRP with + and power button so mobile is not bricked at all.

Installation:

Wipe data (BEFORE INSTALLING and NOT AFTER, if not you will lose some preinstalled apps): go in Wipe>Advanced wipes>Select Data confirm with a swipe;
Press Home Button and then press Install>Up a level until you are in phone root, then press extsdcard;
Select rom zip and swipe to confirm;
When flash is finished, press on Reboot system and WAIT A LOT.
DO NOT WORRY IF PHONE REBOOT 2 TIMES: it's normal after SuperSU SystemLess flashing;

Actually i was adding some other camera in source so i removed the code for stock and :silly:forgot to add that camera code so no camera is there in the rom. So i made a zip to include it.
When I lock the phone the WiFi disconnects.

Turn on keep wifi on during sleep.
And if u r in power saving mode and then this happens then it is not rom issue its the power saving mode which is build like this.

Ive tried both AND keep happening , if you look into Alberto thread some people have the same issue , dont know what to to , beside that roms works perfectly
wifi
the wifi doesn't seem to work properly. it say no internet connection, all my other devices are working just fine, i even reset my router.

First time installing crDroid to your Athene, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

crDroid Settings -> User Interface
Tried the ROM but after a few minutes I can see icons burned in. In 7.1.2 LOS i can adjust RGB colours to avoid that. Any ideas?

Just litle problem, I saw that the battery is fast charging up to 80% percent then slowly load up to 100%

This is how fast charge works which is normal.
With stock rom fast charging 100% procent , 0-100% fast charging all time

This rom is good?, i already read the of this thread but i still on doubt, my moto g4 plus(XT1640) is on stock rom 7.0, is very good now, i'm think change the rom, this rom is good? No bugs? No lags? The SIM Chip is working?? Thanks

@Avtrkrb Please update your OP with Device and ROM Specifications.
I see that this ROM is only for XT1642 (as in AFH). Also i got unkown baseband in my XT1643.
