[Q] Can't mount SD card in ColockWork recovery (only if ext partition exists on card)

Please Help
I have HTC Desire with ClockworkMod recovery (2.5.0.7) rooted with last unrevoked.
I have had 4Gb class2 SD card with 512MB ext partition before.
Now I'm trying to install 16Gb class 4 kingston card.
I'm performing all partitioning in ubuntu in gparted app.
With card setup: one fat32 partition - all works fine.
With any combinations of fat32 and ext3 partiotions I see - can't mount SD.
Combinations:
fat32 13Gb + ext3 2Gb
fat32 14Gb + ext3 1Gb
ext3 2Gb + fat32 13Gb
ext3 1Gb + fat32 14Gb
Same with 2 primary partitions and 2 logical partitions. ((((
solved
solved with flashing of RA recovery. and partitioning using that recovery menu.

Please dose this rom supported ext partition in sd card?
This is based on RcMix, wich is based on stock Runnymede. I suppose stock kernel can't handle ext3 partitioned SD card. Try a different rom, or install compatible kernel.
Thank You westito
Either check the kernel or your sdcard ext partition using linux system see if it's mounting . I recommend you to use gparted live cd for partitioning.
Virtous roms supports ext4

Partitioning SD Card

Hi, I have already partitioned my 8gb SD card. I made 1 FAT32 Partition with 1.3gb of unused space, while i used the left memory to make a EXT4 partition with around 6.5gb.... My question is, why the second partition is invisible in windows, and where should i put my music and stuff...... Also, Link2SD says that it can't mount the script because of an invalid argument... Please help me fix this..... I'm using HenseMod6 by the way
Around 1-2 GB of Ext partition is enough. Ext* partitions are linux filesystems and cannot be read by windows. Your music and photos should go on the fat partition.
Your rom may not support ext4, try reformatting it to ext3
Thanks, mate. My ClockworkMod Recovery helped mi fix it..

Standard our phone uses ext4 on it's partitions, except the internal and external memorycard which are always formatted to fat32.
Thank you.

External SD card not detected in certain CM11 roms

I have 64 sd that's it's detected without a problem on latest AICP rom, The Sickness roms and TWRP. When I install Spirit Roms the new Alpha CM12 it won't detect it in both roms. It's current format is NFTS, should I try to format it to Fat32 or Ext4?
I tried formatting it to Ext4 but the computer would not recognize it. I'm going to format it to Fat32 and see what happens
I formatted the card to Fat32 but would only read like 932mb in the Android OS but no data I had pasted. In recovery it read nothing.
Repartition and format to FAT32. You may have some unallocated space. Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think s4 can read a 64 GB sdcard.
