[Que] Dock Charging LED does not go off ?? - Moto 360

I got my brand new Moto 360 Smartwatch today.
I drained its battery completely, so that i can charge it completely to 100% and calibrate the battery.
I observed that even after charging to 100% the Dock LED Indicator does not go off.
How much time does it take after reaching 100% for the LED indicator to go off automatically ??
Does Leaving the Watch on the dock drain its battery when not charging ???
How much does the Moto 360 battery drain overnight in flight mode ???

Although the documentation says that indicator will turn off, in actuality, it remains lit while the watch is docked.

I leave it on the dock overnight and it's always at 100% in the morning.

How much battery backup does ur Moto 360 give.
1) In Flightmode from 100% to complete drain
2) When Paired with Phone . ?

Do you mean theater mode? I always keep it in normal mode. Most days after 16 hours or so, I'm down to 30%. I have had it drain quickly a few times and I've found a restart of the watch fixes that after recharging.

A weird battery problem - Instant 50%

I was on root 4.1.2 and I removed it to upgrade to 4.3
Usually I drain my battery to 10% or so and then turn off my phone to charge it to full at least once a month. This time around it was different, the moment I plug in the charger the battery charge indicator jumps to 50% or so.
I unplugged it and turned on my phone and the % on the battery was 50%.
What was also weird was that the battery lasted as would at 50%
and it has been like that ever since as long as I charge my phone when turned off.
Charging with phone on isn't a problem.

Battery life

How is everyone's battery life with this watch? I lost 13% in an hour, and by 11am I was down to 30%. Took it off the charger at 7am. This seems very poor.
...aaaand battery dead.
Uninstalled a ton of apps. Now I just lost almost 10% while charging the thing. What's up with this device's battery life?? Getting all kinds of connection errors from my phone, saw some 'couldn't write to file' notification on my phone... Seems like maybe mine is a dud?
Had to reboot the watch last night to get it to charge. Would not charge on the dock a couple hours after it was just charging. So frustrating.
Anyone have any suggestions for me or am I just talking to myself?

Something else that kills my battery, almost as bad as Facer, and causes my phone to constantly disconnect from the watch until I reboot, is enabling developer settings in CM12.
So yesterday I took it off the charger at 730am and by 8pm, I still had 24% left. 12.5 HRS and them some.
I activated the Developer Options and installed the following apps:
Wear Battery Stats
Wear Charging Widget (Beta)
Today. I took the watch off the charger at 730am again, and I'm going to be dead by 5:00PM. So 9.5 HRS...
I lost 3 HRS plus 24% additional by changing those three things?
Any have any experience with these 3 items?

Facer killed my battery the most. My battery was dying while charging after opening Facer on my phone. Dev options kill my battery quick too. Uninstalled Facer...battery charged immediately. Turned off dev options, charged faster and drained slower. (I am on CM12 on the Nexus 6)

I only thing I changed under development options was the screen on while charging.
Are you say that just enabling development options kills the battery?
If so, how I do disabled development options?

Go into development options and toggle it off... It's at the very top.
Battery just started randomly going away again. Dying on the charger.
This time, I didn't do anything. Just got really hot and the battery was like 30% lower than it was the last time I looked at it.
I am about to return this watch unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Rebooted the watch and now it's charging again. But the time or charge percent won't update while it's charging. Have to undock/dock the watch to see it update.
WTF? This thing sucks

The ustwo watch face app did this. Installed twice, and twice this happened. Seems like watch face apps are still very buggy.

Oh... You meant the "off while charging" option toggle. Got it.
I deleted those two apps with 5% left, and the watch lasted 2 hours on 5%.
I don't understand how the screen off while charging option depletes the battery. I would think it improves it.
Narrowed this down more...
Sycning apps to the watch from the Android Wear app seems to be what causes this battery drain as well.

Solution for battery drain on Tab S 8.4

Hi everyone.
Just to write a solution for the commonly problem on the battery of this tablet; I had the problem that battery ran out almost on 1 or 2 hours! of use after it turned off I turned on again and the gauge showed for example 30% or some cases 40% of battery I was crazy about that and had to do some research; tried to bring the tablet to warranty but they did not could help me (I don't know why) after that I read there were more users having this problem; some of them suggested to bring the tablet to a repair center or open the tablet and do some technical reparation; the solution is pretty simple that it seems to me; my solution was to open the tablet with a spudger (I don't have one so I made one by sanding a piece of plastic) after that just unplugged the battery conector and reconnected it again; rebooted if recovery mode and erased batterystats.bin, turned off and charged until 100%.
At this point I have been using the tablet by 3 days and the gauge seems to show a more precise battery percentage.
Anybody that is having battery problem, and have checked that a app is not causing the battery drain, should try the battery calibration method below, before opening their tab
Try apps like watchdog or an wakelock checker app, also any apps like alarms and weather check apps or any apps that sync the tab can keep the tab from going to sleep.
On my tab s 10.5 i only charge to 70% and never unless i am doing a calibrate drop below 20%, I use my tab for video, ebook and internet.
I use an app like Gsam to sound an alarm at 20% and 70% when charging, and i dont charge to 100% as it can cause cumulative damage to the battery, check the link below for more info on how to care for lithium based battery`s

John.
Below are a few screenshots from my tab s 10.5 , It has been running continuously for 142d without restart and i have a battery life of 3d21h according to Gsam app.

You can calibrate the battery like this before you decide to buy a new one
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is don
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once charged to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not charge until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).
phones with oled displays should not show static images for a long time as it can cause burn-in

I might have to give this a try. Like my battery has no problems with its connectors or anything since I have never had that problem. Recently, every time I charge my device, when it charges up to 97%, it immediately jumps to 100%. Rebooting still shows 100%. So when I turn off the device and charge it while it's off, it shows its at 98%. So I know it's an calibration problem. This only happens when charging up to 97%. So I might need to recalibrate again.

You should not discharge to 0% too often, as it can causes curative damage and the battery could actually fail, you would not want that to happen if you are out of warranty, I rarely discharge below 20%, a couple of % inaccuracy is not a problem really.

I hardly ever discharge to 0%, I usually charge it when it tells me my battery is low (20-15%). Well, I bought this tablet in July so I have reached probably 300+ charge cycles. I read some threads regarding battery skiping and it happens when either it's uncalibrated, or battery is slowly going bad, and something else I forget. But thanks for the tips on the battery stuff! I never knew charing and discharging fully could do such a thing!

I bought my device from Kuwait so it's firmware belong to united Arab of imarats.
At the beginning , I faced some issues with my device such as. After about 3 weeks I found the the battery stay only for 10 minutes even if it charged to 100%
I had to put my device in charge all the time so I can use it.
I send it to repair center and told them that I need to replace my battery.
After one day they call me and told me that it just asoftware problem and we solve it.
I got it from them use it for just 3 days and found anew problem that the home, back and multitask buttons dosen't work very well . That I need to but it on it's back or use the desktop cover to make it work.
In that point I tried another country firmware with kitkat 4.4.2 and that dosent solve anything
And when I found that the lolipop came to galaxy tab s with France and Canada and sanghfore , I installed it
I found that when I connect the wall charger , the device immediately turn off and give me the sign of battery with out any process in charging and dosent want to turn on.
And when the device work , it give me ablack screen when I shake it between my hand or but it on it's back (such like ablack screen flashing)
I don't know what to do.

Definitely not normal. I turn mine off to charge everynight. On a side note, since I started doing this I haven't had the battery drain problem.

Battery life dropped by 50%

I don't know what changed but my battery life has dropped by 50%.
I used to go to bed with 40% on my battery.
Now I can't go till 4pm without batterysaving mode coming on.
Anybody seeing anything like this?
turn Bluetooth off and lte off or just turn airplane mode on while you sleep
I charge during sleep. It's on the charger all night.
it's now about 3pm and I'm at 20% battery....this sucks.
I wonder what's going on.

using a face watch theme with temperature?
did you change themes recently?
If there was any update to the watch software, I would recommend to perform the watch reset and check the power usage.
I too had this problem and now it's better after the reset.
