[Q] Service Menu - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Coming from years on Sony devices. They have a service menu where you can see, among other things, what bands are enabled. Is there such a menu on HTC M9 and if yes, how to access it?

Did you try this?
*#*#4636#*#*

That is one but it doesn't list configuration, IE band 2,3,4,5,17,20 or whatever. Any menu that lists these?

[Q] Easy way to switch bands? Lock to GSM or WCDMA only?

On my Touch Pro 2, if I want to lock to WCDMA only, I have to execute the following steps..
start/settings/communications/phone/[network tab]Select "GSM/UMTS Only"/[GSM/UMTS Services tab] Band/Get Settings button/ then..
Select Your Network type and from the drop down select WCDMA.
Even switching to CDMA only mode requires a lot of steps.
Whew! That's a lot. I tried to write a little program to do this in C# for windows mobile, but I got stuck because the RIL interface has no op select mode for WCDMA. (Unless it's undocumented...)
Is it possible to have a "one touch solution" for all my bands in some sort of script so I don't have to navigate that ridiculous menu? Or does someone have a programmatic way to do this?

[Q] LTE Only?

Is there any way to force the phone into LTE only mode?
There are two towers near my house, but only one has LTE. My phone keeps switching back and forth from LTE to CDMA, but when it's on LTE it works great. I just want a way to keep my phone from using CDMA.
Dial 3845#*970#, scroll down to iot hidden menu, system selection, network mode, lte only. However you have any CDMA service at all so you won't be able to call or text.

Hey,
The software version on my phone was updated and now I can't see the iot hidden menu. Is there a workaround?
Thanks

[Q] Service Menu Help

IAnyone happen to know the default *#2263# Service Menu settings on the i317, and/or how to restore them to default???
I'm experiencing some network issues...drops...no signal...etc - and so in reviewing other threads I adjusted a few, which didn't make it better.
I set gsm, lte and wcdma were set to "all" or "automatic" in the Service Menu...but signals are still not good.
If I set to default, I will leave them alone
Does any changes you make to that menu stay saved on the device? I'm thinking at&t locked down that menu back with the radio/modem released with 4.1 roms.
Try *#*#4634#*#* then Device Information. You can select the band you want and it seems to work.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
I'm glad. Be careful in those menus -- you can do some unintended damage.

No Video Call & Advanced Calling

Hi,
On my HTC 10 with stock 1.80.401.3 I can't find any settings related to Video Calling and I can't find any option to enable it.
Also I don't have an "Advanced Calling" menu on my Settings section. On Verizon site it seems Verizon models have both.
Is that normal? I mean, is Europe models stripped of this functionality? Or was it non-existent from the start?
If not how can I enable it?
As a side note I have 4G enabled both on my phone and my carrier.
I dont have the option either. Try an app from the playstore.

Note 7 Service Mode?

I've scoured the internet for finding out to enter the service menu on the note 7. It seems that the s7 and s7e have been figured out, but no one yet seems to have been able to actually enter the service mode the note 7.
I do know that the service mode application opens if one dials: *#0011#, but I cannot enter further into the application to change LTE bands and what not.
In past Samsung phones, one could further enter the service mode by hitting:
Menu -> back
Menu -> key input -> Q
Menu -> key input -> 0000
Wait 10 seconds
This method does NOT work on the note 7...
Now while this may be a larger issue, I cannot get AT&T LTE enabled on my device. I have the N930-FD from Singapore. This is why I'm trying to access this hidden menu.
On key input type in: Q0
And wait 10 secs.
Still not working.
While I follow the procedure, there is no response. It still display the network information.
What is the whole procedure to operate?
Did you have any finding regarding how to change LTE bands?
Does this work?
bands engineering screen *#2263#
