As the title says, does anyone who has bought from them before know what this means? And how long I should expect for delivery?
I ordered a HTC Desire today at 10am.
I ordered tuesday, it was changed to ready to despatch yesterday I received it this morning, so you should have it tomorrow
mine has been like that since yesterday which i assume means that everything's ready apart from actually having stock.
Well, as I'm assuming the announcement will come either today (Monday) or tomorrow (Tuesday), I just had a few questions, since I've never pre-ordered a phone before. When you pre-order does that mean you can only receive it through the mail, or can I pre-order it online, and get it set aside for me at a local store?

The only pre-order I ever did (Droid X) can via fedex to my office. No option was given to get at the store.

the idea of preordering a phone is so that you receive it in the mail the same day it's available to buy in stores. maybe a little earlier if there's a mistake in shipping.
Has anyone's order shipped (USA)? If so, which model and colour did you order? Where did you order from (HTC.com, carrier website, etc...)?
Ordered the silver from AT&T which shipped on Friday and will arrive on Monday.
I ordered gunmetal gray on Friday early afternoon through htc.com which redirected me to Sprint. Got the shipping notification Friday evening, about 6 hours later. Due to arrive Tuesday.

I'm sure everyone is excited. Digital River's service-level is average at best -- the person answering your email (or rather selecting which script to send you) has no authority to speak to you on a human level. All they see is no stock, hence your email, and that's that.
I'm getting mine from tmobile on monday. before 3pm. i orderd the gold on silver. I wish i order the gunmetal....

Ordered mine Friday morning, but got an email saying it was on back order. Got another email yesterday saying that it should ship Monday.
Got the unlocked one from HTC, full price.
Ordered mine Friday from T-Mobile and just picked it up from UPS this morning. :good:
The funds were on hold at the bank since this AM but they aren't any longer. They didn't take them either.

Pre-order date: 13th of April, payment right away via PayPal 749€. (unlocked EUR sim, ordered on the HTC website)
After I don't know how many escalations, finally someone called me on 5/10 saying that they couldn't give any delivery date confirmation of my pre-order.
After long discussion, we agreed together to cancel my pre-order and get refund of my money.
The same day I bought the device in a retail store (BE).
I got confirmation from HTC that my pre-order was cancelled and they will refund asap.
Today' surprise : the pre-ordered device got delivered at home !?!...
I have now 2 devices...
however in case I still want a refund, HTC can arrange a return and refund as soon as they receive the device

Just called Digital River office in Germany. Finally, I spoke to someone with knowledge!
HTC postponed their delivery so that Digital River Gernany has no stock of the Glacier Silver model. Stock refill is scheduled for Friday, shipping will start by Monday next week (via UPS). The delivery will originate from Netherlands or Germany, he could not tell. This means, that delivery will likely be tuesday or wednesday next week. Dear HTC, 17th or 18th of May is not "early May"

On Sunday Web page was even saying, order not found. Fixed on Monday.
Called HTC and Digital River again, both could not give me a shipping date. Took my consequences and cancelled the order. Re-ordered at a large German online retailer and snapped the last glacier silver one! Will be delivered tomorrow via UPS express.

Saturn and MediaMarkt has a lot of HTC 10´s, I also bought it there.
Even after they are sold out, 2-3 later they have new ones.
Bought mine yesterday (19.05.) from Notebooksbilliger. Saturn and MediaMarkt both display them as arriving soon...
I got mine from Mediamarkt two weeks ago!
It seems Mediamarkt online shop had only very few in stock...

As I understood, they do have some stock but it is reserved for preorders, so they wont sell to people that want to buy it directly from their shops untill all preorders have been shipped.
It does make sense to first send them out to people that preordered instead of keeping them waiting but still...
I ordered one on Sunday, will arrive today. Called their customer support on Monday to ask if they would still honor the expired code for $100 off. They did, no problems, no questions asked. Looking forward to it arriving today.
The code was HTC1008 for anyone interested.
I ordered one early this morning when i saw theybwere back in stock. I was on the phone with them hoping to be able to do this exact thing. The first rep told me that the code(s) have expired and he could not apply them. I hung up, called back again and got another rep. She said she could, but then mentioned that I used the PayPal form of purchase and cannot refund the $100 that way.
Oh well, it was worth a shot. Might try and call back one more time to see what they can do since I got a no and then a yes lol
