Hi everyone.
I found a solution (not real knox reset, but still a big chance) to get device to warranty repair works even if it was rooted. Thing is about faking odin mode(upload mode) knox status print out. But I cann't alone support all know device models and there came one problem with Lollipop update(locked bootloader).
So I'm asking community of developers for assistance and help in this "knox warranty void" thing.

Like I also said in that other topic: the bootloader is signed, signature is checked so you can't simply edit some strings.

Hi guys this is my first Android device after a few years with an iPhone, now have a N7105.
This device is carrier branded in terms of software with what I assume is a custom ROM from the Telco?
Can I flash the phone to the latest stock ROM, an international version? From what I've read the latest Hong Kong ROM would be fine.
Needs to work in Australia on Telstra's 4G network.
Does anybody have a seriously easy to follow guide for this process?
And finally does this process void my warranty? Anyway to avoid that?

First of all, congratulations on your first Android device and a warm welcome into our community. I'm sure you might be sick and tired of the same boring interface offered by all iGadgets and that jailbreaking and carrier locking stuff.
I must assure you that Android might be a teeny-meeny difficult to use for a first time migrator but once you're enlightened with all the processes and jargons, you would surely regret the every penny you spent to own your iPhone.

For all the latest stock ROMs head over to: www.sammobile.com/firmware/ Find your model, select the region you want and download the ROM. You can use their guide on how to flash/install stock ROMs, proovided on their website.

Flashing stock ROMs doesn't voids your warranty only custom ROMs but you can always revert back to stock ROM making your warranty intact again. But all this could increase your flashing counter which can be resetted using scripts which is currently not available for N7105.
Last but not the least, you can always Google your queries and never call yourself noob in our community.

When you decide to do something to your phone based on certain thread (root, custom rom, custom kernel, mod nd theme), read the OP and full thread carefully. Only proceed once u know what to do.

Last thing, our note 2 is the best samsung device. Which actually with stock rom nd kernel + root, u will have the best experienced alrd.

What's going on xda? I wanted to post this in the developer forum, so that possibly Ya know, a developer would see it and read it but the site said "no" so I have to post here. Then I got an update Download from Verizon. I pressed where it said update now. I was curious. I'm sorry, anyway now I have the Verizon version of sense 6.0 and weaksauce shows me root failure when it runs. It's been like this for quite some time now and I've been searching around for any info on it but I'm the only person who has made a post about it so far. Other people also have this problem, I made a post on android forums and many others are sharing the same issue. Developers please. Let me know if you share the problem or know the solution or if you are currently working on the solution because I am getting slightly impatient. Thanks

If it was actually that simple I would have already done that. I have a VERIZON m7. Weaksauce was the only root method I tried that worked, so it's not that I'm too lazy to search around for the correct thread, it's that that correct thread doesn't exist yet so I just keep making threads on different android forums until I flood the internet with my words and someone finally notices.

Whats Going on? What is going on is that you really didnt pay attention to the rules when you joined. Had you then you would know why you cant post in the Dev forums. You would also know that had you posted this in the dev forums, it would have been deleted on site.
Now I am gonna move this to the proper device forums and advise you to take another look at the rules before you post again.
Basically, you are SOL until Firewater/Weaksauce/Towelroot is made to work on our latest OTA.
Had you run Firewater when you had root, prior to updating, you would have been able to update and retain s-off and root.
Since you didn't, you are now stuck without root until/when/if an updated method/exploit is posted.

Dude, keep moving it if it makes you feel important. The rules really are not my main concern on this site, I had a question it got answered pretty directly after about 4 useless "this has to be moved" posts now I'm going to continue to wait. You guys are like maids for this site do they pay you well? Is it just fun for you to move threads to the correct place? pretty much: LOL @ false sense of entitlement thread police

Your thread got answered after it was moved to the right place, so that mod with "a false sense of entitlement" is the only reason you got a accurate reply.
Your call, but a bit of appreciation for those who keep this site running and volunteer to help is never a bad thing. Running a site of this size is not an easy task.

Wow so let me get this straight. You come to a development sight and want to ask a question? Tthen you post in the wrong section so you get the least amount of answers. So not only does a mod come along and move it to the proper place so you have a chance of getting an answer, but tells you where you messed up instead of just deleting your post. So you proceed to call names and insult me? Then break the rules again. Well how about this. The next time you decide to insult someone you will be banned from the site and then you be stuck with what ever simple minded questions you may have. Take this as your only warning. Thanks to the brilliant and persistent work of the developer, steadfasterX, THIS IS THE ONLY PROVEN SAFE WAY to unlock your bootloader. Read everything carefully & make sure you understand it fully before proceeding to unlock it using this method. Many of us done it with great success. Search for your phone model in his thread to see any relevant questions/answers etc.

You reply to the person who wrote the post 4 years ago and has not been active on xda since then.
It is not true that any G4 can be unlocked using the amateur method.
Only such a G4 with a correspondingly small Anti Rollback versions, which was not upgraded to the latest firmware from LG.

First and foremost: You seemed to have missed the "Read everything carefully & make sure you understand it fully before proceeding to unlock it using this method" wherein, if the member who comes across this old post, does in fact read it carefully & fully, that would be obvious as it is stated in the thread very early (note: the last post here was May 8th, so guess what, someone did come across it). They do have to read the referenced thread and understand it - you're only point is that you have read it but you do not clarify anything for anyone reading this old post, only reaffirming what I stated in the first place.
Second: This so-called amateur method has been proven, as attested by many members and, as well, the author has been recognized as a developer - you haven't, so who is the amateur in that case?

I used to root and install ROMs all the time with my old zte blade, not felt the need to not recently, but have rooted my smart ultra 6 which has a locked bootloader (which 2bh I am not sure what this is or what it does) and getting my op3 shortly and will look to root it mainly for app data restore off titanium backup.
Used to seeing a sticky guide for these things but can't seem to find anything for the op3

took 3 posts to finally help the guy, This guy right that i qouted here is the what we need in the world, people are new at stuff and need to be pointed in the right direction, so instead of being like a walmart or best buy employer and saying "oh its right over there somewhere." Just actually help the guy like this guy. You people were all new at this at one point and this is why the world is going to ****, b/c 1 out of 4 people who responded was not lazy and posted link and offered more help, this is what this community is about, not to just say oh do a search for it. I would've posted links but it's not so simple on app, also if you can't be bothered to search and read on complex topics, which might result in you destroying your expensive phone, maybe you shouldn't be undertaking them.

Hi I found my old password for this account just so I could talk to you! What is this file exactly? I'm trying to root my a505u VRZ. I'm well aware of the problem of the bootloader being totally locked for these phones. The only solution I've seen was to pay for individual device specific unlocks from sampwnd.com from a senior member on this site. But the site no longer exists. Can you explain exactly what this file you posted I and can it be used to my a505u? I'm super excited to see someone posting this on the day I did 12 hours of research on it!
