What country is the ZL Coming From

Theres a few places that have the ZL, So what country is the ZL originating from? I know the Z is mostly coming from the UK , but what about the ZL

ZL has been officially launched in India. Will hit the shelves from next week :victory:

Where did you order it from? Depends on the seller,but I think most of them are made in China It has been released in Russia. Usually re sellers are working with many distributors which dictates the origin of your phone.

I think I figured it out I ordered it from Negri and grr I was hoping they would atleast be shipping it today but I guess not.
Yea I know where theyre usually made haha.

Negri is a pretty decent phone dealer, I better not get just the Z haha I`d be pissed cause I wouldnt get 3G on AT&T with just the Z. So W`ell see I should have it Friday. They havent even shipped it yet and wont til Monday

Questions for those who purchased an international n5100

Hey,
I just purchased an n5100 from Amazon. This is my first time buying an international device and not a US device, so I have a few questions. It looks like I got a model meant to be sold in a Spanish-speaking country, since the box and the writing on the back of the tablet are in Spanish.
1. The box had no seal to break through. I know on the Wifi models sold here and in the unboxing videos I've seen online, there are stickers to cut when you are opening the box. Should I be worried that there is no seal, or are there countries where this is sold unsealed?
2. No headphones are included. In the unboxing videos for the 3g model, I've seen they come with headphones. Do they all come with headphones?
3. Will I encounter any unexpected issues with having an international model?
4. How does Samsung handle warranty issues on international models?

I'll attempt to answer some of my own questions since I decided to power the thing on
I found a few more unboxing videos and saw that not all the 3G versions do include the headphones. So I guess that's not an issue. One thing that's nice about the version I received is that it came with a US-compatible power adapter.
So far, no unexpected issues with having an international model. When powering it on, it defaults to English, and you can select your language from that first screen. When starting the Google Play store, it asked me what country. I selected US, and I was able to begin downloading my apps. That was one of my worries.
So far, this looks pretty nice. I was trying out the Wifi model, and decided based on that experience that I wanted to have the 3G option. I guess the next step is to stick my microsim in and see how that works

Congratulations! My one had a seal, but no headphones. I also got extras with my deal - a free official pouch stand, 16GB microSD, and 2 months free Internet with a local service provider.
No idea how warranty issues are handled, sorry.

Why would you have any more problems than a Wifi version?
Warranty depends on the policy of Samsung where the device is originally for. My guess is you have no warranty

Just got mine today. Mine came from Singapore , no headphones and Spanish language
Packaging. But works beautifully with my tmobile sim. I live in a refarmed area and get the full
HSPA+.

I've had my I ter national note 8 for about 3 weeks now. It came unsealed so that the retailer will know which converter to send with it. U have no warranty, and can't even register it on Samsung website. That said, u might want to try wentworthave (dot) com or protectyourbubble (dot) com... I've used pyb before for a claim and they're pretty good wentworthave doesn't have deductibles.. I'm thinking of switching.

I received my note yesterday also through a retailer on Amazon. Mine was sealed and all in english. It defaulted to British english and I was able to register it on the Samsung UK website. In doing so, I received the dropbox promotion of 48 GB for 2 years for free! The retailer included an adapter for charging in the main shipping box so they did not have to open the tablet's box. I contact Samsung US and they confirmed there is no warranty for it here. I have it covered on Square Trade. I just hope not to have to use it.

Just checked over my device and some you tube video posts.. a few things.
I got the P605 from ATGSM.com.
The box was sealed with sticker and all.
Inside the box there were no replacement stylus tips (as seen in all the you tube reviews)
Also the box does not look like any of the boxes i see in the reviews. I take it that the version they shipped me is originally the Hong Kong.
There were no specs on the box.
Did I get a fake...a clone....... What do I do now. I can post a pic of the box if you need to see it.
I need some serious help. I paid over $700 for this device. I just want to make sure its the real deal. Especially seeing how there are so many fakes out there. Please help.

Your box is not the same as the one in these video's, so I see what you are talking about. Besides the extra tips was anything else missing or different is your box? Your tamper sticker looks like it was placed over another one, what do you think when you look at it?

I bought a P605 via Negri Electronics a couple of weeks ago, and it was in an identical box to the one in your picture. My box also didn't have any spare stylus tips. Also had a Hongkong style adapter, which Negri provided a US adapter in the outer package.
I suppose the HK version just doesn't come with spare tips?
It seems real to me.

You can chill out, HK SM-P605 doesnt have extra stylus tips and the box is geniune. I bought myself from ebay and the box looks exactly same and there were no extra stylus tips too in the box. Here u can se for u self HK version box: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=20037026123
HK version is SM-P6050ZWETGY and you can see it by download Phone Info from playstore.

Thats for US version only and we got HK version, so no. Too bad HK contents isnt worth a dime and here in Sweden, we got any **** free contents gifts and still the SM-P605 cost damn over 1100 US. -.-

You got no idea of the Negri problems with the Note 3 obviously.
I feel sorry for anybody buying stuff from them.
The stories are hard to believe yet true.

I bought my N-8000 and SM-P601 from Negri and had no issues. The only problems I heard regarding the N3 and Negri was that some carrier devices they sold, mostly T-Mobile, that had their IMEI's reported stolen after people received them and started using them. Since Negri doesn't build devices and most of what they sell is grey market and imported from other countries they are kind of at the mercy of their suppliers. As far as I know they stood behind the devices with bad IMEI's and replaced or refunded them. If you're in the U.S. and buying a SM-P601/5, no matter who you're buying it from, you're taking a chance as to its origins, condition, and country of sale (which can't be the U.S. because neither is sold here). And know that none of them have a Samsung warranty because they're grey market. Negri, Expansys, and NewEgg are the biggest sellers of Samsung grey market devices in the U.S. and I've purchased from all three. My experiences have been fine but I've heard complaints (some horror stories) on all three. With grey market goods there's no such thing as Best Buy. And Amazon doesn't count; all their unlocked devices are sold via marketplace sellers.

They were selling used as new
They were selling stolen as new
They were selling phones with the seals broken that were still locked as unlocked and new
They were selling Phones that were rooted as new
They were selling Phones that were already Knox tripped as new
This is just a small list of the things they pulled
If you read the TMO Note 3 thread thread, I don't know how you would do business with them, absolutely despicable.

I'd read the thread before I bought my P-601 from them. All their Samsung HSPA devices come from the Samsung dealer in Trinidad. They had the P601 before anyone else reselling them in the U.S. did and it arrived in its shrink wrap and was perfect. The shrink wrapped Trinidadian N-8000 I got last year arrived with a bad display. Negri paid return shipping and overnighted me a new one (which was perfect). I asked where their LTE P-605's came from and they said Asia. I personally am not interested in any Asian-sourced imports because the s/w and Hub access are funky when used in the U.S. Software wise, Trinidad and Latin America are the most compatible. That's why I got a P-601. When people ask me where to buy Samsung grey market devices I mention the three company's above. I share my experiences (and the horror stories, lack of warranty, and other risks) and tell them to avoid PayPal (Amazon Payments is an option with Negri) and use a "customer friendly" credit card like Amex. I'm sorry some people got burned over the N3 but it doesn't change my positive experiences.

Huawei Watch release date and price UK

At the time of writing Huawei hasn't officially released details on where the Huawei Watch will launch or when. However, we do know it will come to the UK because MobileFun has the device up for pre-order. The retailer is expecting stock in 3-5 days.

pretty sure the 3-5 was just a placeholder. It's gone now. and still no watch. I'm thinking a late spring release is more likely given that we have no news yet.

I was hoping to get myself this watch for my birthday which is next week but it looks like I will have to wait a little bit longer! I really hope it comes out this month. I been checking the news articles daily for any news about a release date.

September would be bad, I'm really waiting for a good sized Android Wear and the Huawei Watch would match that, but my guess is that we will see more than one other watch by September (IFA Berlin). Sony, Motorola and Samsung are just some candidates and then the waiting game starts again. If Huawei would manage to deliver by Juni/Juli I would place my order right away.

It's worth noting that the price listed by Amazon is based on the VAT rates in France (20%). Since the new EU VAT rules now require sellers to pay VAT in the country the buyer is situated in (ie. the country the item is shipped to), you will have to pay a higher price than the one listed if your country has a higher VAT rate. VAT is also applied to the shipping cost.

I never understood the reason to tax everything so extensively in the EU. Its too bad that you can't buy it here and have it shipped as a gift with the value listed at 0

Which model did you order? The silver watch with leather band seems to have shipped already for some people. The metal link band version is delayed until the 27th though according to the email I received yesterday.

I just phoned Huawei UK and asked about UK date - they said at least few weeks away and its not even confirmed They suggested I to keep watching www.vmall.eu for updates. Sod it, getting my mate from US to ship me one, don`t like to wait and its just 262 GBP +shipping.

I ordered the silver metal link band version and got that email too although I don't trust Amazon that much when we talk about expected availability.
Last time I pre-ordered by them the waiting for my Moto 360 was a never ending story (something like 3 months...)!

Due to the lack of alternatives in compacts only (iphone se which has to small display, no notification led and iphone 7 without headphone jack) i have preordered this little black powerhorse. In Germany you get additionally headphones when preordering (Value 220€-300€). the ones that were presented at ifa.
when LG would produce a v30 mini i would immediately buy this. Really like the mics in v30 that allow to record a loud festival. hope that the xz1 compact will not fail at this.
i finally need a new modern phone compared to my z3 compact. i hope that the touchscreen will be this time more responsive than the one on x compact when typing letter p or q from the side through the curved glass. now lets wait 3 weeks

Debating ordering from Clove again. I can't believe that it'll be cheaper by about 12% to import to the US than buying at the local Best Buy.

Where are you seeing the price for it at Best Buy? I ordered my X Compact from Clove as well. Looks like they are offering some free bluetooth headphones if you order from them. I suppose you could sell those and knock off some more of the price right there. :good:

MSRP is $600 for the compact and the headphones are limited to the first 400 or so registered. I have some Best Buy credit, so I'll probably get it local in case I'll need to exchange it.

Well, Clove just told me that they won't have the Blue color, which I wanted, at launch. Apparently the Blue will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse at launch. Looks like I'll be waiting to see what Best Buy and Amazon get.

Is there any way to get carphone warehouse to sell to someone in the US? I really want the blue phone

From their website, it says only UK. Maybe the blue color US version will be available at Best buy or Amazon here but you'll have to deal with no fingerprint scanner out of the box (hopefully firmware flash will fix).

The Blue is available from Handtec, but without any pre-order bonuses.

I read through that tmo/lte thread. Do we know yet whether the european version of this phone is going to be fully compatible with tmo/att in the US?

I'm very excited about this phone. It has been a long time since I used a smaller handset, but I think I'll like the 1 hand usability a lot more.

Preordered a week ago as an upgrade from CarPhone Warehouse hope we gonna get root soon. I am still using my 2 years old Xperia Z3 Compact without any issue except the loudspeaker issue with android 6.0.1 still there i learned to live with it. Was looking for different phones like LG Q6 but CPW cannot provide that either just like the other 4 i was asking for. Got a few dosen calls from the sales team and they insisted that i should chose a huawei P10 or a samsung S8/plus even i told them that these units are too big for my taste and [email protected] for me. Finally i spotted XZ1 Compact.

What is this loudspeaker issue that you speak of? I'm not noticing any such issue with my Z3C.

When you put it on loud during a call the other party hear crackling and bubling when they speak. I have two z3c and both duing it. Plus when i switch back to phone speaker the nic gets disconnected so nobody hear my voice. Lol

I preordered from clove, seem to be the only ones with a bonus. Carphone warehouse had the XZ1 offer of the hear headphones on the first day, but that seemed incorrect and they removed it pretty quick. Either way, the actual odds of getting a set of those headphones were really limited as it was only first 400 customers or something.
The clove offer is a bluetooth adapter by the looks of things, not actually headphones. It just allows you to plug your existing headphones in and clip it to your shirt or something. Seems like a good idea.
I've got a Z3C at the moment, but my screen is beginning to lift off and it's taken out the headphone socket in the process. I also can't imagine it'll get any more updates to it.

Uk release date is 29th hope i gonna get it soon after. In carphone warehouse i been told anyone who preorders it before 21th could get the bt headsets.

never-msrp (well known USA seller) on eBay supposedly has the Compact in stock. It's the international version, so assuming no US warranty, though. I ordered the blue version and says I should receive it by Tuesday, Sept 26.
