HTC One M9 unlocked question - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ive asked in the M9 section and have not got an answer...so I thought someone in here may be able to. Would an unlocked T-Mobile M9 work completely on ATT's network. LTE, MMS, etc...?
thanks

But to answer your question, no, neither the Teg3 One X (this forum) or the AT&T One XL support T-Mobile U.S'. AWS bands. There's a thread in the other forum where people are trying to get it to work on Wind Canada which is also AWS. No joy so far.

will the m8 tmobile work on att network?

I have a tmobile htc one m8 rooted and sim unlocked with bad esn. Will it work on att network? The corners are busted. I had to used my jump to get a new m8 and will be giving the old one to a friend who is with att.

I think so, they both use GSM while Verizon and Sprint would use the CDMA version of M8.
If it has a bad ESN then no as they share the same list for bad ESN phones

[Q] Q about LTE bands

Hi, I am wondering if it's possible to enable all LTE bands on a developer edition M9 (or a s-off, rooted M9) with some sort of hack. My current phone is HTC rezound with M9 (retailed from verizon) on its way, and I am quite off with the phone technologies nowaway.

Not sure what bands you need or want to do....but this thread from the verizon M8 might be useful.....obviously you may have to do things a little differently but I would presume the process would be somewhat the same (once you are S-Off)

Thanks for the quick reply. That helps to clear my confusion somewhat but I think I've asked the wrong question. Please read the new thread... sorry don't mean to flood the forum...

How do I convert a t-mobile HTC one m8 to Verizon?

Excuse my noobness but I have tried to search for this answer without success. There are various how to's on how to convert a Verizon htc one m8 to t mobile but none on how to convert a t-mobile HTC one m8 to be used on Verizon. I have the unlock code and that part worked but it would not connect at all. What can I do here? Willing to flash or do anything at this point.
Yes I had to cut the Sim card in order to make it fit.
It wont work. TMO is a GSM / LTE device and Verizon is CDMA / LTE. At best you might get some data but thats it.
Buy a Verizon one if thats what your wanting.

Sprint m9 on Verizons service

My m9 recently has had one too many falls and I will be using Htc's Ut-Oh protection to get a new one. I really miss being able to flash custom firmware. I've searched around and I read that an unlocked m9 will not work on Verizon network. Will a Sprint m9 work on Verizon's service because they are both cdma? or will a Verizon m9 only work with Verizon's service. I might have to just have to settle and ship the phone out to receive s-off.
They're not fully compatible. The two carriers use different bands. So while you could possibly activate and use it, you won't get the coverage you expect.
