After the lollipop update, I stopped getting notifications from the Facebook Messenger app. Before, chat heads would pop up and everything. Is it just me or is this a issue with lollipop?

Is anyone else having issues with the Facebook app update?
I use Tweetdeck for my social networks so I want the app just for contact syncing and chat (when I want it), so I turned off notifications and refreshing, but I'm still getting notifications all the time.
Running CM 6.1.1
After logging out of Facebook chat on my Droid Incredible I'm still being notified of received chat messages.
I'm on stock 2.2, any suggestions on a fix?
There's a setting for notifications in the face book app.
yeah this happens to me too. I have the notifications off and it still notifies me. Would like to fix this as well....

Hi guys I just bought a m8 from T-Mobile and I haven't been getting notifications at all. The only time I get notifications is from sms and cloudmagic which is a email service. I have autosync on and made sure there's no setting that restricts background data and all that. I just don't get it. Anyone have any ideas? I'm on 4.4.3 stock unrooted.

In general like gmail and Google plus and instagram and twitter. Basically all of them aren't giving me notifications at all and when I open the apps they have updated already. Its just not notifying me by notifications at all
As the title says the facebook messenger notifications are completely absent from my external display. Is this a known bug or is it a problem on my end?
Hi There - No such bug is reported regrading messenger notification. You may check permissions granted to messenger app if the permission is not block. Also you can check if the latest version of messenger is installed. Hope it works for you. Thanks.
