[Q] Fast charging - Galaxy Grand 2 Accessories

can we use a 2amp charger for fast charging? is it safe using a 2Amp charger?

Yes it is safe to use it.
In fact, I use the 2Amp charger on a daily basis and never faced any issue.

[Q] Regain root issue..

So, here's the story...
I just moved from London to Canada again and I left all my cables in the UK that belong to my phone.
No one I know has a micro USB cable.
I'd rather not have to buy a new cable, I have better things to buy..
I found 1 cable but it only charges the phone, it doesn't allow for data transfer?
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus w/ unlocked bootloader, and stock Jelly Bean. I was in a hurry to install JB as soon as it came out so I flashed without realizing I had no way to regain root..
So I have been searching for things like wireless fast boot/wireless adb, ext with no results.
So I turn to you XDA..
What can I do to get CWM again without the cable?

How? I have stock recovery as well now
You could use Flash GUI to flash the recovery.img then flash the Superuser apk and binaries. Flash GUI Download the recovery.img for your phone which would be this recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-maguro.img load the app select recovery as the option then navigate to find this .img and select to flash it. Then boot into recovery and flash this CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip. You will have to delete the stock recovery.sh's that run and destroy custom recoveries. I forget the exact location but you can Google that or just flash a custom ROM.

You're outta luck then.. forgot about that. Go buy a cable... they're not that expensive. Like what 10$? at least for a good one. Less if you buy a cheapy but i wouldnt recommend that.

Use root explorer, rename the stock recovery, use Rom Manager or Goo Manager to permanently flash CWM or TWRP. Then flash the zip for superuser or SU.

A simple MicroUSB cable from Amazon is just $.50-$1.50USD. An entire OEM charger would be about $10USD.
There is no MicroUSB that will not transfer data. You could even just borrow one from someone.

if i knew about this last week, i would have tried it. i received a replacement n7 last week but was away from a desktop for several days. theres another method that requires an otg cable and another android device found in google groups, but i dont have a link with me. its a bit more tedious, but supposedly works.
Don't think so...I was gonna say cf-auto root with mobile odin but you need root for mobile odin

i'm already on stock 4.3 ( with android 4.4.2 bootloader ) is that the problem?
NVM5282 said:

U already said u r on 4.3. Bootloader 4.4 should not be a problem (unless it is corrupted somehow)
My best assessment is that you shud try to reFlash the 4.3 rom again. If it fails (my failed due to new boatloader), u will have to flash 4.4.
After that check out ur battery problem.
Also if u need 4.3 badly, u will have to install mobile odin (strictly) to flash 4.3 back.
I know the solution is cumbersome. But I went through this myself.
Hope it helps you.

Yes. Kitkat is a Note 2 killer. It broke my wifi. It also hit my cpu. And I heard number of people complaining. I think Kitkat is only good out-of-the-box. Migrating to Kitkat is headache and d so called improvement is for namesake.

i found Solution , as i said it was cuz of the Downgrade , u can't downgrade bootloader so u can only downgrade without flashing any bootloaders by mobile odin ( the only tool for doing that ) but as using 4.3 of 4.4.2 bootloader u won't be able to charge while u r off , made sure of that when i flashed stock 4.4.2 again and battery did charge normal when mobile was off hope i helped and CASE CLOSED

I suppose that may be able to restore to stock by using the dirty flash method..... I wouldn't do it. It may put your phone into a bootloop.
On the other hand,
Did you flash Twrp to your phone? Is your phone rooted?
Do you have a locally installed backup of your stock rom?
If your answer is yes to both questions then you should be able to restore from within Twrp in recovery mode.

Are you wanting to restore so you can return the phone?
If so keep in mind that you bootloader has been modified, even if you are able to restore the stockware. Personally, if I were in your situation. I would just wait for the USB board replacement, or pay a local insured technician to repair the device for you.
I have read stories about Le Eco replacing phones under warranty, even with a custom Rom installed. However, under their current financial situation they may now operate under a different policy.
Finally, if the usb port is broken while bother restoring when you are not able to charge the phone?

A few days ago I posted a recovery with an unlocked bootloader. I can not post the link at this moment because I am about to fall asleep. It's in the Recoveries and ROMs section.
After you restore the backup, TWRP will ask you if you want to install TWRP. Look at my past post for directions.
Do not leave TWRP without installing it. Otherwise if the phone bricks, it will be a lot more hassle to un-brick it.
Finally, again I would not do it if I were in your shoes. Get the USB fixed first.
It really should not cost very much to solder the USB slot back into place... Its not hard to do, if you know how to solder small components correctly.
If the card is on its way, wait for it and you'll have no regrets.
Just remember to use a heat gun to loosen the glue as you take apart the phone, and the screen is damaged easily by flexing.
Surely there are videos on YouTube for doing these repairs.
