Can someone check to see if rolling back to KK would be an option after the update?
Maybe someone who doesn't care about root try for the rest of us who are waiting for a root miracle...

still waiting for lollipop!
lollipop update is not yet available for non at&t users via odin.
I am not believing that no body can upload it for us!!

Updated last night. Phone got pretty hot. I was having a kind of increased battery drain since 5.0, but this seems to have taken care of it, as far as I can tell from just this morning.

To those who are experiencing the hotter than normal phones, are you using the supplied Fast Charger?
Mine is dead after charging overnight. When I picked it up this morning it was very hot, but couldn't get any response out of it. Taking it to a ATT Device Support Center to try and get a warranty replacement. This was the first time I had charged my phone after installing the update yesterday afternoon.
Maybe a chance the small update screwed with the fast charging somehow?

These updates are becoming more and more of a headache. I really wish they would stop just shoving these things out here before being throughly tested. And if they don't, at least they could unlock the bootloader. I'd take it from there.

I actually haven't had too much of an issue. Android system seems to be taking up less battery than before which is nice. Just to make sure I did a factory reset, cleared cache and installed everything fresh. So far battery life seems the same as before.

My battery life is better but won't know for sure until several days. I see android system taking way less %, actually android also.

Can someone test the call forwarding settings?
Phone app > Settings > more settings > call forwarding
I'm interested in seeing if the 'SIM or network error' is still happening after that update. I updated to the 5.0.1 and it broke forwarding, and thus my gear S...so I rolled back to kitkat last night and it's happy again.

My heartrate sensor keeps lighting up on its own after the update.

Unfortunately it's still showing "Network or SIM error". It wasn't fixed with the OC4/5.0.1 update.

Not really a big deal but did this happen to any one else after the update?

Software Update Gives Weird Message

i got tmobile and Jelly Bean on m y S3. when i try to update thru the software update i get this message and am not able to update my S3:
Access to the software update services is provided to users in the order in which they request it, Try again later.
i never got this before. what do i do?
Try again later.
I got the same message...to me it seems like network congestion...to many people trying to download at the same time. I waited a few hours and then was able to get the update. You can also go on your computer and download Kies and update that way.

The update wont fix those issues...Its a radio update only
If you are having issues over and over your phone is messed up...send it in for warranty service...JB is running smooth/flawless/good battery on 99% of the people I talk to...
At least if its never been rooted and bone stock...if its been rooted id start all over from scratch and get a good rom on it

New update?

I was sitting in a movie theater earlier doing a sudoku puzzle on my phone before the movie started, and something popped up about a system update. Because my battery was low (25% I believe) and I was going to be turning my phone off during the film, I tapped cancel. Now it's not showing that there's an update of any kind available, and I can't find any info online other than the news about the leaked 4.2.2 build, and I doubt we'd be seeing that this soon.
Am I missing something, or was this some sort of a fluke?

When I go to Settings -> System Update -> Firmware Update it just says "No firmware update is available".
I'm assuming you're already on the latest build (md4)? If there's a new update since then, this would be the first we're hearing of it.

The day after I bought the phone, I saw it reboot out of the corner of my eye and noticed it was updating. I have never found info on what the update was for, but I rarely see an update automatically apply without user interaction unless it's some kind of emergency update (like to fix reception or something). It definitely applied the update without my authorization. I didn't even see a prompt.

I did not receive an update in the US on At&t either. I did manual check and it noted I was up to date.
I also agree it is quiet in here. I think this phone should be getting a lot more interest than what it is. There is a lot of potential here.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ Marshmallow Update

Just wanted to let anyone on the Verizon variant to start looking. My phone is currently downloading the update as we speak. The update was originally only for the S6 and S6 Edge on Verizon with no release date for the Edge+. I am receiving it OTA.

Wish I had better luck with my update. Mine keeps getting an error 402 when I try to install the update. I tried to use the Verizon software upgrade assistant software but it keeps saying my phone is updated already.
I am having the same error 402 problem. I have tried clearing the cache, factory reset, updating via the upgrade assistant, etc. No luck so far on anything I have tried.
I have been talking with Verizon support all day but still no luck. I will post back if I find a solution.
Is there a reason firmware files are impossible to find for this model? I'm using mine on at&t and can't upgrade the normal way so I'm guessing my only shot would be to borrow someone's Verizon sim card. Was hoping Smart Switch would trigger the upgrade like it has in the past.

First time poster. Anyone having issues with doze not working on this variant? Getting 10-20% drain nightly. Was having mediaserver keep it awake draining 30%. After finding and uninstalling the app causing that Gsam showing hish usage by the system. Doze have never turned on since downloading update. And I too had the download problems on the OTA. First attempt took 4 hours and got to 99% and failed. Second attempt took about as long but finally worked.
Only issue I've found so far is the default gallery does not show Downloaded images, and yet when I plug the phone into my laptop I can see them in the Download directory. I had to download another gallery called QuickPic, which is a ton better than the factory gallery, and it displays everything as it should.
Other than that, I had no problems with the download or update. I downloaded OTA via WiFi on the phone itself and installation went smoothly. Battery life is significantly better with its default "snooze" mode it goes into when the phone is idle for a period of time.

Oh, and OneDrive doesn't seem to be working. It's not syncing images like it was on KitKat. I tried Refreshing it to no avail. Gonna' try to reinstall it. Google Drive works perfectly fine, though.

An uninstall and reinstall fixed that sync issue.
Update Marshmallow G928V
I brought s6 edge plus (SM-G928V) Verizon unlocked phone and I am using T mobile connection on phone.
So the problem is : My phone doesn't show any marshmallow update. I think, its because of T mobile sim .Since, i am not using Verizon connection.
I tried to update the phone with samsung smart switch. When i connect the phone with SMart switch, it does show the Marshmallow update but when i click on update it nothing happens.
I searched for Verizon marshmallow FirmWare link for s6 edge plus, but i could not find any ?
Could you please sent me link so that i can update with Odin or is there any other way to update it.
Just some help
Heya folks, I bought a sparkling new Verizon galaxy s6 edge plus at a lucrative price of USD 350. It's unlocked and I'll be using in India I just bought it because of the sale price.
Now do I understand that Verizon version has locked bootloader and no root at all. Will they give bootloader anytime in the future? Also does one need a Verizon Sim card for getting updates? I'll be using in India how will I get updates then? Anyone else who has bought unlocked version pls help me. Cheers folks thanks a ton.

Another update M6E69B 05 August 2016

Here is another update to M6E69B
https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../ea3f22cafa01264ded185bdec71b42821cec2c59.zip
I have no idea what it fixes / enhances / solves. I just got the update notice on my watch and grabbed it.
edit - I cannot see anything new other than the version. Sounds, watchfaces, installed apps, all the same. Let's hope the bugs are fixed, especially bluetooth drops.
Updated to it too. Can't spot any diffrences.
Someone on Reddit says it is a security update. Nothing else shows on Google Search.

Was hoping this update fixed the pairing issue on Nexus 4 phones, so I installed your latest ROM update, but it still fails to pair.
Received the update and installed automatically instantly. Haven't noticed anything different and I still can't seem to answer whatsapp calls anymore over bluetooth.
This was working before the last 1.5 update.

Tell me about it!!!! I'm still on "June" update, since I got the watch in July. I've been waiting for the OTA and it never comes. Is there a trick? I go to about>check for updates and its always "up to date". I have my "wifi" going to sleep after 3hrs. The thing always on the puck/charger overnight at 100% battery. But these OTA never happen. Looks like I've already missed the "July" update, and will probably have to get that before the "august" update....

No where has I seen that Huawei does monthly updates on any device. This was a patch for bluetooth, wifi, and security from comments I have found and searching. Older versions never even mentioned the security patch data. I do see better BT range and few BT dropouts, battery is the same. I don't do calls on the watch but use my BT headset for that.
