We Have Gorilla Glass 4! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Check it out we have Gorilla Glass 4, same as Galaxy 6. Apparently, Samsung kept this secret because Corning asked them to due to it not being ready for product announcement. http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/en/products-with-gorilla/samsung/samsung-galaxy-note-4
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/en/glass-types/gorilla-glass-4
“In laboratory tests, Gorilla Glass 4 survives up to 80% of the time when dropped from 3 feet high and is up to 2 times tougher than competitive glass designs.”

Already scratched mine

Seems to scratch easier than gorilla glass 3....

Lol running with no screen protector is asking for scratches... unless you have microfiber pockets?

I don't put mine in my pocket. Never have.

Nope. But never really got a scratch on any iPhone or Android I've owned before and this one has tons of micro scratches. Doesn't really bother me. Put a glass screen protector on it and don't see them anymore. First things I tell all my friends that want to buy them is get a screen protector and no root yet... lol

Never scratched my note 3, several scratches on the 4. I baby it more than I did the 3.

Great. Still run with a tempered glass screen protector. $6 well spent, no scratches on that one yet, either, and I've had it since I got my phone in October.

where's my sapphire screen.. wish apple had one so Samsung would copy it

Already replaced my entire digitizer after a week of having it ...

Right? I farted and my screen was scratched.

If the screen were made from diamonds I think some of you would still find a way to scratch it.

i thought it only has gorilla 3, anyway, i always apply tempered glass screen protector on every phone i owned (saved me so many times indeed! )

Skinomi Tech Glass first impressions/mini review

Hello everyone. I just got the chance to install the Skinomi Tech Glass tempered glass screen protector that I ordered off of Amazon a couple days ago for $14.95 after I noticed that my Nillkin chipped in a couple of spots on top of the screen protector and proceeded to crack.
The overall packaging of the Skinomi is done rather well and unless heavy items is stacked on the packaging the screen protector should be safe during transport. I chose the Skinomi product over other products because of a lifetime replacement warranty they have on the product so if this screen protector happens to chip or lift up because of a poor manufacturing process I have that extra piece of mind. Some features this product has is as mentioned before a lifetime warranty, a thin profile(seems thinner than Nillkin although the official specs has it the same), rounded edges, oleophobic coating, and a proximity sensor cutout. Installation was a breeze and the fit is much like the Nillkin with a couple of millimeters of space around the edges. So far I am quite satisfied with the product, I will upload pictures of the installation soon.

Does is come with a back protector as well? I noticed my Nillkin has small chips at a few spots as well. One of them looks like it's cracked slightly but it's so thin you don't notice it. I'm thinking it'll blow out eventually though so I'll have to replace sooner or later. Damned if I know how how it would have chipped since I've never dropped it or keep it near anything that could do it.
The cheap back protector that comes with the Nillkin seems to be doing the job, it's scratched to hell! So I'll never not have anything on the back.
No the Skinomi does not come with a back protector, just the front. I still have my Nillkin back cover still on the phone.
I am assuming the keys in my pocket caused the chips on my Nillkin because I never dropped my phone either.
Forgive me if this sounds stupid, is this meant to be use in place of the stock glass that comes on the Z1?

no. it covers the glass, so you technically have 2 layers of glass on the front of your phone.

Orzly Tempered Glass Install + Review

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ww2SPtL0yQ
Thanks guys if this helps or you enjoyed it subscribe/thumbs up!
Got one of these and used the hinge method you describe to fit it after seeing it done on a youtube vid. Nice bit of kit.
Bought one of these. Very easy to apply using the hinge method. Once installed you hardly notice there is a screen protector present!
I screwed up my install ... returning it to get a replacement.
Will use hinge next time.
I installed my Orzly case and tempered glass SP last night, removed them both this morning. As high quality and crystal clear as they can be! But there is no substitute for a naked phone.
My S2/S3/N4/N5/1+1/all lived happily naked. Now my 1+2 will do the same.
6 phones to prove 1 fact, i am a nudist. And i love my bamboo swap style back!
Hg
Going order it soon.

Truely the best screenprotector ever!!!!
Smashed my phone with the screen to the floor.
Screenprotector totally broken. The screen itself: unscratched and no cracks, as it comes out of the box
Would rate this screenprotector 11/10

Can you tell me from where your going to order it.. On Amazon.in Orzly for OPO is available but not for OP2.
Just got one below link, but i don't see any user review of this item on Amazon.in.
http://www.amazon.in/Orzly®-Protect...d=1445838181&sr=1-18&keywords=orzly+oneplus+2
Just got it installed on my OP2 and it works great. First time I'm using a tempered glass protector instead of thin plastic screen protector and it feels much better.
It's easy to install and has a lot of items to help install the product.
Great buy!
Problem is that such glass causes that fingerprint ID looks "bigger" (like from Samsung) and OPT doesnt look as nice as without this protector

I also got this screenprotector and I really like it. However, since last week at a corner a very small piece broke off. I had this earlier too with my OPO. I didn't do anything special with it as far as I know.

Scratches on the glass screen?

I was wondering whether anyone else has got scratches on their watch screen. I have noticed a line on my watch and am rather disappointed considering it's a sapphire screen.
I wonder whether this might be able to be replaced under warranty...?
?????, this is why even though it was really scratch resistant. It's not scratch proof. I bought a tempered glass screen protector for 7 bucks on amazon. Best investment for a watch.

Not a single scratch in 2 months. However, I do have a few scratches on the bezel.
Problem is: sapphire or not, there are always things that can scratch your screen. For example diamonds or other stones can easily scratch any sapphire.
There are actually sapphire polishes on the market. Though I have no idea if that's a good idea for a smartwatch.
I also havea glass screen protector, but ditched it because I thought it ruined the look a bit. And the looks were the only reason for me buying the hwatch.
It is quite a challenge to scratch the HW, as the glass lies beneeth the bezel...
As said, nothing is scratch proof of course. Certainly no warranty issue unless you can prove that the watch scratched itself...
Have it for 5 months and not a single scratch on the glass.

I am sorry but it is not glass, it is sapphire and it is pretty much scratch-proof as you need something of 9 hardness or more on the mohs scale aka diamond, corundum, tungsten carbide, titanium nitride, or some other hard material that can be found in sand or some other substrate. The scratch you are seeing is in the oleophobic coating not on the ****ing sapphire itself.....
My screen is scratched.. That too badly.. Any suggestions, what can I do?

Huness Full Coverage Tempered Glass Screen Protector + TPU Case

When I ordered my Pixel 4, I ordered a few various screen protectors and cases to have ready when it arrived. I'm very happy to report that the first one I tried out has turned out so well that I just threw all the other cases/protectors in a drawer to collect dust.
Amazon Link ($7.99)
I installed the case first to use as a guide to install the protector and the end result is the most perfect protector install I've done on any phone, with perfect alignment and no dust trapped underneath. There is no "halo" line to be seen where the clear part of the protector meets the black border around the edges, either. I was quite worried about that.
I initially intended to use this protector (or another one) with a Spigen TPU case, but the case that comes with this protector is so good (with a slim snug fit and perfectly tactile button feel) that I have no desire to remove it. I love the combo so much that I decided to order another one to have as a spare in case they ever disappear from Amazon.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with others who may be looking for full coverage protectors. Here are a few pics I took. Any dust seen is on top of the protector. Living in a brand new house, it's impossible to escape, unfortunately.

Does the screen protector adhere well on the edges? Or does it rise up?

Sorry for the delay. The edges adhere with no issues. I haven't had any lifting at all. It's still perfect.
Full coverage protectors always seem to chop off a bit of the display. Usually noticeable in apps that have objects near the edges. How does this one fare?

I disagree. I have installed many screen protectors and this one does not confirm to the curved edges of the screen. The case is excellent though.
I bought it just today, waiting for it to arrive to me in Italy (about 10 days). From the photos I can see that they are a winning combination!

Native Screen Protector?

Got my s20 ultra in the mail today! I had purchased a whitestone dome glass screen protector! but low and behold the s20 ultra has a film screen protector pre installed! I'm debating removing it for my nice tempered glass one as the fold had left a nasty taste in my mouth when people were removing it and it was breaking their screen. I wonder if this "native" protector will be the same. Ya this phone doesnt fold and its just a screen protector... but hey you never know!
So my question is are you going to replace the protector that came with the phone as soon as you get it?
From what I have seen, this screen protector is the same as the one that comes with the S10 line.
You will not damage the phone screen is you remove the preinstalled protector like you would on the fold.
To answer your overall question, I will keep it on until i receive my tempered glass screen protector.

Good to know! I kinda figured seeing as this is a "regular" phone that wasnt going to damage the screen. BUT you never know! Samsung did omit that information on the fold at the start. lol I will probably switch mine out.... I really dont like the feel of the film one.
I got mine today and the screen protector was all scratched up. It felt rough when I touched it. I was worried the actual screen was messed up so I peeled it off. It was just the film that was a problem. It would have driven me crazy. I kept the film on my Note 10 Plus and would have done the same here but I would have peeled it off eventually anyway.

If you do take it off immediately with no replacement, don't end up like ...

OUCH! lol
Due to difficulty I had removing a Dome from my Note 10, looking for another brand glass screen protector for an S20 for someone?
I see even zagg does not have a real glass one. The owner does not use the fingerprint sensor.
Thanks,
