Htc sense 7 launcher for s6/s6 edge - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

HTC SENSE 7 LAUNCHER FOR S6/S6 EDGE
Ok guys, so far this is just a base for a project, currently my device doesn't have root, therefore I'm doing what i can without. Therefore here is the sense 7 launcher working that can be installed on your Galaxy S6/Edge. Install both APK'S
Once/IF we get root i can definitely get things working better. However, in the meantime, when placing widgets you can jut tap them, and move them later.

Removing parts of sense

I am getting a Desire soon and personally I would rather remove Sense UI, but this is not longer possible the easy way.
Can anyone explain if you can remove sense another way? I have heard people say to use Launcher2 or HelixLauncher to get the 3D app drawer and the nexus one launcher. Can anyone confirm this works?
Thanks!
Yep if your install either you can make them default and use them instead but it will still have the Sense theming of all the apps / status bar etc and obv the HTC widgets wont work
ok thanks or the quick reply
so if i use either of these launchers i will not be able to use HTC widgets?
and when/if the desire gets rooted i'll be able to stick a nexus one rom on?
has anyone had any experience with either of these launchers on the desire?
im new to android so i apologise for the noobish questions
Not a problem
Nope you won't be able to use the HTC Widgets... but you can launch the HTC Sense launcher at any time and get access to your widgets though it's a bit of hassle doing that everytime hence i'm gonna stick with htc sense launcher myself.
Both the nexus launcher and helix work great on my Desire, no problems as far as i've been using it.
Not sure about putting then nexus rom though, sorry
thanks for the info.
so installing launcher2 enables the 3D app drawer from the nexus one?
just to clarify lol
Yep the home screen looks like the nexus one and you get the 3D drawer with fades. It looks pretty good! I just wish the widgets still worked then it would be perfect.
thanks again for your quick reply
so where do i download this launcher 2? from the android market when i get the phone?
sorry so many questions!
Not a problem,
Helix you can get from the market but launcher2 you will need to get from somewhere else but if you search these forums you will find one you can install no problem
awesome, thanks again.
one last request: which version did you use? i've searched here and elsewhere and each version is different and im not sure which to use
I'm not sure to be honest, if you know how to check then I can tell you?

no sense

Hello friends!
I've just received my desire und would like to know if there's a way to uninstall
Or disable the HTC sense.
I really dislike the arced bottom with the apps, telephone and add buttons and would love to get rid of it all together.
I prefer the way Android looks on The galaxy I9000.
Can I make it happen?
Thanks ahead.

Go check out the ROM section and you'll see plenty of non-Sense ROMs waiting for you

Thanks for the quick reply. I used custom roms over two years on my x1,
But for now I would like to modify my OS without flashing a Rom.
Plus I have no computer available at the time.
So no luck?
If you'd like to change the dock bar at the bottom, try installing LauncherPro. It'll run over the top of Sense so you'll lose the Sense widgets, but I think the paid version offers similar widgets. http://www.launcherpro.com/
You can use the process manager in the Astro File Manager to kill the HTC Sense process. The default android launcher should then appear on the phones "home" screen.
To get HTC Sense back, reboot your phone.

Well i like to choose. I thought getting rid of it is easier than adding it,
Plus this phone was cheaper for me.
As for the thread:
Using launcher pro really does it for me, so Thanks a lot.
You've helped much.
i think the "launcher pro" app is the easyest way to chance the style and its faster than sense

[Q] Side by Side Apps

Hey XDA community,
I'm fairly new here and I recently got a Nexus 7 2013.
I'm going to school right now for application development and one thing I like to do is have a text editor
(Webmaster's HTML editor) and my textbook (kindle app) both open side by side. I only know how to do this
on my gs3 and I sort of got a Nexus 7 so I could do stuff like this with a bigger screen. What I'm wondering is if
there's anyway I can get the side by side apps with my Nexus 7 2013 (wifi model) or is this a Samsung/Touchwiz specific feature?
I'm currently rooted, running a stock rom with ElementalX kernel. Thanks in advance, Bear
I have also tried searching the forums as well as Google but no luck.

It's a TW feature, not available on stock aosp if I am not wrong.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Not available on stock AOSP right now. BUT Rockchip (chip maker of those Android sticks) DOES have this on stock Android. I'm not sure why anyone doesn't port it over to other devices or what the hold up is. If it was easy, I'm sure we'd have it by now.
The LG G2 also has this functionality... so it isn't just limited to TW.
So keep your fingers crossed. Maybe once the Nexus 5 comes out, they can backport the SbyS App support to AOSP.
I too am very interested in this.....I want multi window or something of that nature on both my N7 models but its sucks I can only use it with my S3 and S4 not fair and honestly android should have gotten this by now but hey....good things come to those who wait right.
Like the others have said, this isn't possible on the N7 right now, however until it happens, there are many "floating" apps available on the play store for text editors and web browsers if you're desperate.

Any aosp/cm11 sprint roms

Are we going to be be getting any non touchwiz roms soon? I sure miss cm 11 and omni roms.

Questions go under questions. Theres yet to be a specific ROM thread up where that would apply.
they have cm booting on the tmobile one, the majority of that code would work fine for the sprint one. chances are they will be unified builds. if this was teh s5 or anything id work towards fleshing out the device tree and bringing it up, but i am truly happy with my note 4 stock with xposed. i dont use all the fancy samsung features but i do use enough of them to not even really want to bother flashing aosp and losing out on it. granted this is my first note device but i cant see or imagine why anyone would want to use something other than stock, battery is amazing, features are top notch and its very fast and fluid.
I came from a nexus 5 but i sold that and for a week i used a kyocera echo until my note 4 preorder was ready to pick up, it truly is amazing in how much progress has been made in such a short time.
I agree with Shabbypenguin.
I'd rather have a stock ROM with all the cool Samsung functionality of floating windows, one handed moded, functional heart rate sensor, S-Pen apps, and camera app all work great.
Instead we need a rom with stock as base, and AOSP apps like I describe in my thread:
My "Dream ROM" for the Note 4 would be:
*Rooted
*Knox removed
*CyanogenMod style theming
*Samsung and Sprint bloatware removed (accept for Facebook sync)
*TouchWiz apps (calendar, messaging, phone, clock, calculator, lockscreen, notification quick settings) replaced with CyanogenMod versions

i swore i replied to you in there but i guess i didnt :/. the cm theme manager isnt possible on stock, its embedded in so many core files to be able to alter everything on the fly its not possible without recompiling with the code added in, and we cant recompile touchwiz.

My main gripe is the typing lag,
in some apps. I notice the typing lag mainly on TouchWiz roms and in Google hangouts and a few other apps. I've tried different keyboards and they all lag on TouchWiz. If I use Aosp, no lag at all anywhere.
Yes the features of the Note 4 are great but I don't use and can live without most of them. I really wanted this device for its spen. I'd take the overall smoothness of cm11 and it's lean build over the features in touch wiz. Hopefully we get a cm build going.
Cm12? Mmmmm
I was just reading about CM12.
I'm strongly thinking of moving over.
I can mimic floating windows with xhalo xposed. It has resizable windows that work similar to TouchWiz floating windows.
I'm not sure how I'd mimic one handed mode
Or the stock camera app which has dual facing camera modes.
Any ideas?

Looking forward to cm on the note 4. It's pretty much the only thing keeping me from buying one.

Yea probably not man. Anyone with enough skill can build the device tree. Its just nice when we get official maintainers. Give it time, it will happen. Samsung devices ALWYS get cm.

Have we reached a point where all of the stuff you mentioned is no longer going to be able to be incorporated into AOSP? I came to the note 4 from the note 2, and I agree touchwiz is pretty nicely refined, but I would like to see AOSP. From some post's I've read hear and there, it appears that touchwiz just gets more complex. What about the Nexus 6 OS?

Help Transform My HTC 10 into a Nexus!!!

Hello everybody,
I've received my HTC 10 and I am mostly happy with my purchase. I held on to my Nexus 5 for too long, because I cherished the vanilla Android experience and, although HTC wasn't aggressive with their modification of the OS, I still miss some of the features of my old Nexus.
First of all, I really don't like the HTC Phone app and would like to see if anyone knows how to get the Google Dialer app working on the HTC 10. (when I try to download it from the Play Store it says it's not compatible with my device; sideloading it from apkmirror doesn't help, since the latest version, 2.3.17, won't install, and others that I've tried crash)
Another dissatisfaction is the always on appearance of the NFC status icon. How could I make that disappear?
Can I make the battery icon in the status bar show the percentage inside the icon? (is there a hidden System UI Tuner menu for the HTC 10; if yes, how do I access it?)
I'd like to accomplish these without rooting the phone, if possible. If you have any other suggestions with things you've done to make the HTC 10 resemble a Nexus, let me know.
Thanks,
Marius
I know you don't want to root, but I think, you can't do what you are looking for with out root. I'm holding out for @jcase and the crew to unlock the bootloader and be able to root this fine device. It is really why I left the LG V10....the ability to modify and make perfet.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...oogle-phone-2-05-07_rc4-android-apk-download/
Grab the latest version from April 20th. I am running this stock Google Dialer on my Samsung Note 5, and it works perfectly. I am rooted of course, but no idea if that was even needed.
Just go to your downloads folder, and click the .apk to install, should work.
