Dedicated Goodbyes/ Thanks thread - Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Hi guys!
I created this thread to those who wants to say goodbye and thanks to the armani community. You can post here the device you're moving on to and you can also give special thanks to the devs and other members who helped you.
Since the redmi 2 is released and I know some of you will upgrade to redmi 2 or other newer device.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Hi guys! It's been a week now since I sold my redmi 1s. I would like to thank all the devs expecially the Armani devs. and the supporters of this device.
Maybe this will be my 1st and last Xiaomi device. Maybe I'll get the Moto G 2014 as my back up device. I prefer stock android experience and fast OS updates.
Till next time guys.

sorry for annoying guys it tagged twice due to an internet problem
waiting for ur replies and i hope anyone else with an expert who see the post can help
If you want to have aosp based Roms s6 could be the wrong phone, I heard from a cm developer for the note 4 that exynos and cm Roms are not good compatible together. I would inform before buying one
Sorry but Samsung isnt that open too. I would switch to Nexus or something more dev-friendly .. But well LG and Sammy are pretty similar development side..

Hi,
You might want to read the forum rules regarding bumping threads. You are allowed to bump your thread once after 24 hours with no replies, not every couple of minutes. You can always edit your first post next time instead of making more posts. It gives the appearance of impatience.
Thanks for your cooperation

Better off going a 6P if you want open.
Sticking with my G4, used all sorts of Android devices and the G4 is the only one that I feel like I could actually stick with.
Admittedly I haven't used any Nexus devices (their cameras have been renowned as terrible until recently) but I have used the stock Android experience and it feels lacklustre to me.

About Development

I am planing to buy this device, although I am not big fan of miui ,so my question is ,can we expect huge development for this device?
Thanks in advance!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro forums

When can the forums of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro be opened? I've been waiting for many days but I do not see a trace of this phone in XDA, and I really need it! If there is any way to open the forums, let me know! Thanks for your understanding!

Lol...
I bought RN5 since February 2018, received it in early May 2018, and been waiting since then for a decent stable rom... So it's like 190+ days.
Not talking about the 15 days (at the time) for unlocking, etc...
As the other said, you got the wrong phone if you're not patient.
See #6 ...

Maybe XDA will open it up soon after the releases of Redmi Note 6 Pro kernel source (maybe).

Question [CLOSED] Custom ROM fundraising

Hello all!
Is anyone able to arrange a fundraiser?
Are there any devs interested in making ROMs for this phone?
Personally, I'd really like to use Vanilla ArrowOS on this device.
But I've heard that ussually LineageOS does the first build, and other teams use that as a spring board.
Not sure if that's accurate, but I'd be willing to donate 50USD or so to any team willing to take this on.
Maybe if there's enough of us we can make this worthwhile?
Does anyone have any idea how to get this going?
Yes me too id go with $50. The problem is 13Pro is too expensive.
I think @Cozzmy13 or @NeoArian is the best
I also jumped at that offer, I can donate 25USD or a little more in an ascendant way, of course, seeing evidence of progress

Didn't realise that the Xiaomi are dragging their feet releasing kernal code.
They did release the Xiaomi 13 kernal code, hopefully the 13 pro is relased (properly) soon too.

A heap of the 12 series seems to have been China only, so I specifically held out for a 13 hoping there would be plenty of custom ROMs soon enough. I didn't really realise the price would be as big of a barrier as it appears to be. Hence, the fund raising suggestion.

Let's hope this thread can push some devs over the fence when they consider getting a 13 pro.
I'm also willing to pay 100usd to support it.
what are devs buying these days anyway?? is there any flagship grade phone with good custom dev support?
I just see roms for older phones ..

It's usually the flagships from Samsung and Pixel and the beloved Poco series. As of now, the Pixel 7 Pro, S23 Ultra, Poco F1 and F4 are some of the most popular players in the development community.

Hello @AlekSeaLion,
although we allow bounty/fundraisers/donation threads under certain circumstances, we are generally discouraged. The developer must have good reputation and the thread must not started from 3rd party without him being aware of. Regardless a custom ROM is no innovative development and doesn't qualify for. Please get in contact on PM with moderators for approval first.
Furthermore we remind you, upfront donations are not permitted as per our forum rules.

I am aware of this is strictly speaking not a crowdfunding thread but only a question about this topic. I leave this thread open for short time, in case of any remarks. The thread will silently closed within the next 48 hours.
Thank you for understanding, and have pleasant day!

General [CLOSED] EvolutionX for Marble in progress

We're fortunate that the Evolution X team has started working on the 3rd test build for Marble (Poco F5 / Redmi Note 12 Turbo). Development just began yesterday. Thankfully, there already prebuilt kernels/modules so test ROMs boots successfully. So far, SMS, NFC, Cam and other basic functions are operational. A crowd funding activity started yesterday and for those who might be interested to support may do so as the target is about halfway met.
Learn more, become a tester, support the project and follow developments.

Hi to everyone! I'm Joey, Lead developer and Founder of the Evolution X ROM.
You may have seen my work on other devices, specifically work on Mi A1, K20 Pro and Mi 11 as those are devices I maintain. I've chosen to purchase a Poco F5 due to the specs-price ratio. I think the benefits I'll get with the device will greatly coincide with the new community I will be handling.
I'm excited to build for you guys soon and hopefully Xiaomi or a different dev completes the missing parts of our OSS kernel in order for us to be able to release these builds in an Official manner via XDA.
Kindly help contribute to the current crowdfund if you think it's worth supporting our project and to bring an official ROM straight to this device as early as now. Hoping that we can get the device before next week.

We will include additional stuff like those once we start work on OSS vendor. For now, we're using a prebuilt vendor and kernel.
Also regarding the crowdfund, we've reached $323 and around $146 remains! Help contribute if you guys can!
