[Q]Kernel BATTERY usage ASUS ZenFone ze551ml vs HTC M8 - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am wondering why the ZenFone 2 kernel use a lot more battery than the m8? Is it because of the different CPU ?
The less % kernel is the m8 while the greater one is ZenFone.

Actually I did use the fb app. I'm just wondering the kernel battery usage is so much higher than an Snapdragon CPU by HTC m8 and I know it is in percentage...

This is pointless. Every device is different so how it drains battery would be different. Plus 1 battery would be different due to charging voltages, degradation, and charging cycle.
If you want to know if a rom is good or not flash it and try it yourself.

My battery consumption

Hi, I wonder if the consumption of my battery is normal? Because I am getting very little time screentime.
I'm using the V10c firmware.

Looks normal to me mate - with that 21% you could easily push past 4 hours - which seems about right, with some tweaking you could probably get it a tad better.

I got about 8 hours on stock rom. Flashed zonerom and now am getting about 12 hours
All depends.
SOC with high temp for example playing games = a lot worse than SOC while just using web, as in low temp.
Also brightness.

Android system consuming battery

Android system in my phone consuming more than 16 percent of battery. Is it too high? Any solution for this?
The stock battery report is confusing...
16% is not from 5,100mAh... it is 16% from the "software section"...

Yes.. but like a week ago it used to consume way less like 6 % . Can you post your battery performance?
0.2%/hr is reasonable...

I think keep awake is draining the battery. Any solution?

Performance Mode

Do you always keep performance mode on? Do you notice a significant hit to battery?
Have never turned it on. No need IMO.
I did since day one, haven't tried with it turned off though, and the battery is incredible. Have no idea if turning it off would provide even better battery.
I never used it. Tried it today and things are noticably snappier especially when streaming YouTube or Music and surfing the web or checking this Forum. Battery life hasn't been affected either. This Phone is TOO SWEET!!!!
