I just bought a new HTC Desire 820s. I want to check the version of my sense UI. But when i go to Setting -> About phone, i cannot see the column of Software Information.
Can someone advise me what is wrong on my system ?

if you just bought the phone, try updating it. I had 3 updates ready when i bought it

Hi Klemen,
Thanks for yr replied.
Yes, i have been installed the 3 updates after i setup the phone for the first time. But still i don't see the column of 'Software Information'.
Do your phone have this column under 'About phone' or anywhere else where i can check the version of my sense UI.

Yes i do, under About i have software information button. Very strange, no idea how to help you here

Can somebody tell me how to disable the pick-up/home/back/hang-up button beeps?
I installed a rom a while ago but don't know wich rom it is. And now I have those irritating button beeps when I hit the home button or any of the hardware buttons on the HTC Touch HD.
I tried it by unchecking things in the sound menu but beep doesnt want to go away. When I put the phone on mute it is gone but I like my ringtones..
Can somebody help me please..
Sorry if this is allready discused but cant find it anyware.
And if anybody can help me figuring out witch rom i installend that would be very cool

To check which rom you have installed go to start > settings > system > device information and depending on which rom your using it should be displayed now or you may have to click on 'software information'. Rom version should be listed.

Hi, I bought a HTC touch pro 2 phone a couple months back with windows mobile 6.5 on the phone and today i woke up to find that the operating system was some beta version and that it has run out so now the phone is not working. There is no information anywhere what to do.
I have tryed going on the htc site and downloading software but when i put the serial number in it says that it is not suitable
How can i install an operating system that will work or even get this version to work
Any help would be apprecitated
What an incredibly weird problem.
Your best bet* is to go to your carrier's website (rather than HTC's) and download their most current ROM.
Alternatively, you could download one of hundreds of custom ROMs here or on other sites. Just make sure you use a GSM ROM if you have a GSM phone or a CDMA ROM if you have a CDMA phone.
*Many are going to insist that a custom ROM is your best bet. Since you don't seem to be very familiar with these concepts I really think a stock ROM from your carrier is the best place to start in order to get your phone working again.

What model of the TP2 is it, where did you buy it, and what carrier are you using it on?

It sounds like you bought a used phone that someone had put a custom rom on. Ive heard people discuss in the NRG Rom thread that some of the roms previous to April 1st would expire on the first of may. This sounds all too similar.
My advice... flash a new rom. Especially if you DID but the phone used. That's like what is going on. Do some reading in the Rom sub forum and you'll see what I'm talking. find the NRG Rom thread and search "expiration" or something.

Thats a big question that you're best just doing some reading on and if you have questions as in those threads.

Read through those threads that are at the very top with "Sticky" next to them. All the threads below are rom related threads about certain roms availabe to install etc.

Not heard of this device. Perhaps a chinese copy of HD2.
OK, found something. It runs on Android, so you can only run Android apps. BTW what exactly you mean when you say things needed?

It runs 2.2 (as mentioned on the web), I don't have any idea if it can be upgraded, as you may know 2.2 isn't the latest version.
For GPS, you can check its specs if it has GPS or not, if yes then you can install the apps from the market otherwise perhaps connect an external GPS, although I am not sure weather an external will work or not.

since it is running android, so the compatible android apps should run on it, but since its a Chinese clone, no guarantees.
You can trying looking at other android phones by HTC or some other brand, to be safe.

Go to YGPS
Wait for the green satellites appear.
Go to NMEA Log
Click "save" wait 5 minutes and then click "stop". Repeat the process after 1 hour.

I have a little problem in my note 10 plus about The current location of my weather app ..
It shows wrong location .. while my Old phone LG G6 shows it fine ..
Is this about csc ? Or something else idk ?!
I bought it from KSA and Live in Egypt ..
Should I reflash the firmware with the one here ?!

The CSC is not an issue at all. Tap the three points to access menu, there select "use current location" and make sure that you have the location on over general settings.
