[Q] How to replace Android System Recovery <3e> with ClockworkMod recovery (NEWBIE)
Hie everyone!!!!!
About 2 days ago I was able to root my device GT-I9082 running android 4.2.2 then I decided to install a custom rom. However every time I try to reboot into recovery its showing "Android System Recovery <3e>".I have tried to install clockwordMod Recovery through ROM Manager and rebooted into recovery through the application but still it only shows Android System Recovery <3e>.I downloaded a ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support (.tar) file but I dont know how to install it via Odin so that I can install the Custom rom. So my main question is how do I replace Android System Recovery <3e> with ClockworkMod recovery.I am sorry if its a silly question, its my first time installing a custom rom and i dont want to mess it up. All useful suggestions much appreciated, thank you

Update problem duo to recovery

I have clockworkmod recovery installed on my device, so whenever i want to update my phone from settings, it restarts and goes to the clockworkmod recovery and never advances through the update, how can i remove the recovery menu and replace it with the original stock one?

[Q] Unable to start clockworkmod

I successfully rooted my phone (I can see the little android pirate in my application list) but when I wanted to flash the rom I can't get to the clockworkmod. No matter the instructions I follow I always see "Android system recovery <3e>"
I used to ROM manager from the app market to boot to it, I've used the odin application to "pda" the CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09.tar.md5 file. But I always get the Android system recovery.
Tell me if I'm wrong, but don't I have to get the clockworkmod in order to flash the rom?
Thanks

updating boot manager phone rom

am new to boot manager and wondering how to update my phone rom not a slot rom on boot manager.
I am updating to a newer build of AOKP.
do I just do it through CWM recovery?
yes just go into cwm recovery for an phone rom update (as usual)
If you want you could make a nandroid before just to be safe

Booting Clockworkmod Recovery

I used odin to install CWM recovery on SGH-T999 4.1.2 . Then rooted the phone. I also installed Rom Manager with the latest CWM Recovery. I can not get into CWM recovery from either Rom Manager or using the Home/VU/Power buttons combo. It always goes to the Android System Recovery. But if I odin again with no Flags, and pull battery after odin , then I can get into it once by Home/VU/Power. Looks like after 1st boot the other recovery takes over.
I tried removing Rom Manager and installing it , but it did not help. Attahced is the picture of the phone when booting into other Recovery.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I found the fix, when booting in CWM recovery the first time, you have to select YES to over ride the Stock recovery.

Cannot install CWM/TWRP

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and Rooted.
I've been trying to flash CWM and also TWRP without success.
I've used all sorts of methods, Odin, ROM Manager, Nandroid Mgr, Flashify, ADB, ... with the same results:
The flashing always seems to be successful but when rebooting into the custom recovery mode, the custom interface doesn't appear but instead, the system tries to boot into what it appears to be the stock recovery's three first colored text lines for a few seconds and it reboots into a loop until I remove the battery.
Then the only way to get back to the system is boot in download mode, flash either CWM or TWRP with Odin (although I know they won't actually work) and it then reboots into system.
Then I restore a backup of the stock recovery that I luckily made with Flashify and at least the stock recovery works.
(BTW, when the stock recovery has been restored, if I go to ROM Manager both CWM and TWRP are listed as "Already Installed" ... I thought that when you flash the stock recovery, any previous custom recovery is removed )
Any help would be appreciated
