At&t 4g lte icon on tmobile note 4 - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Themes and Apps

Well I got the lollipop at&t 4g lte icon product name from TEKHD and it works good and i noticed it also takes off the sfinder and quick connect.
If you guys wanna try it out you need build.prop and edit this two lines and reboot.
ro.product.name=trlteuc
ro.product.device=trlteatt

All I had to change was product.name=to trlteatt nothing else unless your on Canadian firmware

This has actually been posted and discussed before in several forums. You can also try
trltevzw - verizon
Trltespr - sprint
Trltexx - international
And a few more that I can't think of right now.

do I need to be rooted to do this? i tryed but it is read only.

Build.prop editor works best with root.
Is there a wat I can get the LTE icons and kill "ATT" like in Gravity Box. I'm on TEK rom and love it, but the carrier text tweak is not killing the "ATT"

One thing that tripped me up was the persistent gap in the layout. In a Doh moment I figured out it was the spot for the download booster ucin, typically shut off.

Working, thanks a lot. All i changed was product name too

Has anyone figured out how to get this to work on 5.1.1 roms?

Along with the build prop edits you must also change the sale_code.dat file in the csc folder from tmo to att. Works on the latest Tek rom. I'm using one from a stock Att Rom, but editing the file with file explorer, etc..may work as well.

I'd like to see screen captures of the different logos....they may all suck? LOL

Does changing these files have any effect on anything other than just icons? Would changing tmo to vzw affect any other things because of gsm/cdma differences?

on my side, i have a sm-n910w8 wich is a canadians version....it worked perfectly!! i alway liked to have the carrier id on the status bar (i"m a rare one i guess loll) it didn"t change anything about the gsm/cdma thing...

well....have installed marshmallow on my note 4......have tested to see if we still able to change the data icon...and onm my side on stock rom android 6 i"m not able anymore to change anything....i change the ro.product.name and the sale_code.dat and it change nothing???? somebody have tested it to see???
thanks.......

Is this possible with MM 6.0.1 n910t?
Sent from my SM-N920G using XDA-Developers mobile app

should have made an update since my last thread......i"ve marshmallow on my note 4...you can"t change the build.pro to have for example the at&t data icon since marshmallow is still not available for the note 4....this is why the build.pro change mod doesn"t work......

Well.....saw that att upgraded finally the note 4 to marshmallow....have made a trie to have the att data icon by the build.prop.....it didn't worked.....maybe i made something wrong?? Someone had succes to make the change?
Thanks in advance.........

[Q] Change Carrier Name on Stock Rom

Okay so i am wondering is there a way to change the carrier name on a stock or custom ROM, Ive already tried the QPST, and CDMA WS Methods and neither work weather it be the stock ROM or a custom ROM.
.
On the stock ROM the carrier name is blank when in CDMA Mode, except when i switch to GSM only it shows T-Mobile, and on all of the custom roms it only shows my MCC and MNC ie 310012.... is there a way to modify this that i haven't thought of?
Do you want to change the banner?
Or do you want to change your network provider?

It depends on your ROM. With CM7 access is under
Settings - CyanogenMod settings - interface - status bar tweaks
I found a way to do it in terminal emulator on my old OG Droid a long time ago. Good keyword for your search is "carrier banner"
Good luck!

Jelly Bean wifi calling apk

Can someone please share this for me? I am using the i9300 and having wifi calling will be a real improvement for me. I've tried searching, all I get so far is that the apk works only on touchwiz (which is what I have), but nobody's put up a link to this mythical thing
It only works for Tmobile, if you're using international S3 it won't work.
It's not just a apk, it's in the framework too.

I am on an Omega Jelly Bean ROM on t-mobile, with the i9300 variant. Don't I check all the right boxes? I thought the framework that it needed was part of touchwiz?
its way way more complicated then what you think it is.

The pack has to be built for touchwiz because of the libs used to make it work.
You need the wifi calling provisioning or it won't route the UMA traffic over the right T-Mobile gateway.
Files:
system/app/com.android.kineto.apk
system/lib/libganril.so
system/lib/lib_ril_switch.so <--- may be custom modded for vendor (ie: Samsung, HTC etc)
system/lib/libkineto.so
system/lib/libreference-ril.so
system/lib/librilswitch.so
There may or may not be other files but you can see it's not just an APK.

Thank you, that's a great start! When I get back home today, I'll take a stab at extracting these from a T999 update and try it out. If it works, I'll see how complicated creating an update.zip is and package it.

That is a start but im afraid that's about all it is. You'd also need wificall.apk (com.movial.wifiicall) and probably some binary files.
Also, even if you managed to get all the correct files, you would then need to port the code over to settings so you can use it. There is also probably code in systemui, framework, etc. I just doubt that simply flashing the files to your phone will work...unless the i9300 version of tw has it already and you just need it to work for tmobile. I dont think itll be a quick or easy thing to do.

4.2.2 on VZW GN with 4G/CDMA

Morning managed to get 4.2.2 from the gsm version of galaxy nexus working on my vzw galaxy by changing the build prop and adding and deleting some files in the lib folder and adding and deleting xml's for the vpn.. the 4.2.2 I flashed isn't mine so I take no credit for it just used it to flash because it was deoxeded and rooted already... it was zipped by bigxie (bigxie_magurTA_JDQ39-signed.zip) just look in the gsm galaxy nexus thread. Flashed rom first then flashed current vzw radios and then moded files and set permissons. The files were:
sys-Vendor-lib" libsec-ril_lte.so from 4.2.1 and deleted libsec-ril.so from "lib"
"ECT" apns-conf.xml from 4.2.1 and deleted the original file
"ECT--PERMISSIONS" com.vzw.hardware.lte.xml from 4.2.1 and com.vzw.hardware.ehrpd.xml and deleted com.hardware.telephony.gsm.xml
Modded Build.prop for cdma and lte...(there wasn't to many but not gonna list them all)
wiped cache and dalvik and now have a strong 4G signal and fast data...not a developer here at all, just tried to figure out how to get lte and vpn on 4.2.2 so sorry for bad post...good luck..
Mwalt2 did a complete mod in zip form with bigxie rom that is a smoother and grabs signals better and no messing with permissions and everything like that so way easier...here is the link

There are a few other things that will need changed. I'd think that your GPS and WiFi aren't going to work well or at all. I've posted a list of CDMA files that need to be included on this forum before and I think in the q&a gnex forum (search there first for posts by me and see of you can find it...I would but won't be on a PC for awhile).

yes the permission are set rw-r-r or 644 and it was kind of easy you just have to get lte/cdma files in the lib or ect so the rom knows to look for lte or cdma and not gsm...all they are are xml files and just have to add a bunch of ro.cdma and change the name in build prop..i was actually surprised how easy it was when the baseband showed correct and I got a blue 4g signal

no...I did flash the GSM 4.2.2 on my CDMA VZW GN, there is NO GSM RADIO IMAGE on the 4.2.2 GSM ROM the dev removed it.. so there is not damage to the CDMA GN... so you are just flashing a ROM meant to pick up GSM, all you have to do is replace the files so the rom picks up lte/cdma...and all they are are xml files and one .so file and the build prop to tell the phone where to look...thats all...it was actually really easy

the only way i figured it out was to look at the build prop especially the RIL lines..they give the exact file that needs to be replaced
ex. on the gsm: rild.libpath=/vendor/lib/libsec-ril.so libsec-ril.so is the driver the rom is looking for
I replaced the file in the "lib" folder and build.prop line with rild.libpath=/vendor/lib/libsec-ril_lte.so so the rom will now look for the lte driver
make sure the "telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice" line equals 1 it tells the phone that it is a lte/cdma device..if there is a 0 the phone thinks it is a gsm device
also don't forget to set permissions as rw-r-r as they are in screenshots and to delete out the gsm files ...they aren't named the same so there is no overwrite or replace.. you have to delete them. I don't know how sprint files and radios are setup though but I hope this helps...
You guys may as well replace the files in the gsm zip before flashing it and save yourselves some time. There's no reason to do it after unless you just like using a file explorer on your phone. Also, an easy way to see what is different is to compare CM roms for the gnex.

[Q] N7100 - Working and stable call reception

Hi! This is my second question in this forum ... I just want to thank all of you posters as a lot of these posts has been useful for me!
My question:
Android 4.3/4.4/4.4.2
Modems: XXDME4, DDDMG1, XXEMJ5, and many more.
I've been struggling with bad reception on my N7100 (Nordic) for a while ... I can make and receive calls, but when it's like 50% signal it's almost no use and the sound is laggy and poor... I've tried a lot of different ROMs and modems here.
Android 4.1.2
Modem: DDDMG1
I tried Moon Rom with this android version and the reception and caller sound was working perfectly in the same places where it was poor with the other Roms.
So the voices and sounds are perfect with this ROM ... But I don't want to back to the "stone age" (4.1.2).
Does anyone have any working modem for me with (hopefully) a 4.4.2 ROM or a 4.3 ROM (that I can live with) ?
Or any other answer to why it's not working good with newer android versions?
Not sure this will helps from http://opensignal.com , good luck.

You will always get a better signal/ call quality if you flash the appropriate modem for your country. Most carriers have their own modem/csc file.

I thought I could search for the modem for my country, as sawdoctor said, and found this page.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-N7100&pcode=NEE#firmware
It's only 4.3, but it actually worked much better on 4.4.2! Not as much as it can, so I will try to flash the stock 4.3 firmware first, and maybe the CSC folder will appear when I install a 4.4.2 rom. I guess I will try another one than ProBAM this time, because I couldn't send sms with it.. (Maybe that has something to do with the csc folder being gone?)
solved sms problem
I manage to solve my problem with sending sms messages.. It just didn't work in any rom, firmware or stock .. (Message not sent ... failed) So I found the answer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060826
"open up Messaging, hit menu, and choose Settings. Change the field for "Message centre" to your carrier's number."
And I could also say that the calling problem is kinda solved.. The right 4.3 modem on 4.3 works, but 4.3 modem on 4.4.2 works like 90%... When in 2G mode.. = liveable.
4.4.2 modem??
After using 4.4.2 for a while, I realize that the 4.3 modem doesn't compare that well with KitKat 4.4.2.
Is there a working (nordic) modem for n7100 running 4.4.2 out there? Does anyone know??

Is the hardware there, and just disabled? Or is it removed all together? I find it annoying that my Droid X was able to make my mp3 player obsolete, yet the last 4 phones I've had couldn't. It's just the carrier's wanting us to stream music so they can charge us more for data.
Did you tried to download the FM from Lg SmartWorld?

Hello,
Here is a zip with the files you need, unzip, place LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/ with rw-r--r-- permissions and place LGFmRadio.apk in /data/preload/ also with rw-r--r-- permissions.
Anyone able to get LG vid clip working? Supposedly we should be able to edit a video by hitting the menu button. This didn't work for me on AT&T G3. Maybe we need video apk as well?
I can't get the fm radio to work on my att g3. Any suggestions?

i noticed that i already have LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/, but they are hidden or unactive....anyone knows how to enable them??
as for the radio, it display a mock message for everything when i try to use it (mock tunning, mock sound), can't listen to anything

Think you will have to install an internet radio like TuneIn.
For the other two apps: they might have been frozen, so try to unfreeze them using Rom Toolbox. Otherwise, move your own apk's + odex to the SD Card and reboot, then move them back and reboot again, still not working? Move them back to the SD Card and try using my apk's.
same result with all of the above.....weird
some kind of block from att i think
Did you freeze/uninstall all bloatware att installed?
Anyone figure this out?

Strange... You can try to install a stock based custom ROM
This will most likely solve your problem, but you will probably run Sphinx G3 Neo or VDT V8 so you won't get the LG updates
If this helped you, please hit the Thx button
