[ROM][D802][MAY 07][CyanogenMod 12.1][UNOFFICIAL][5.1.1] - G2 Android Development

Unofficial Cyanogenmod 12.1 for the LG G2 D802
For all the people like me who can't wait for the official nightlies, I compiled this from source yesterday.
I dirty flashed it over my official CM12 nightly with the new GApps for 5.1.x and it's working fine on my phone.
I am not a dev so don't ask me for bug fixes.

Nice one! Will you be re-building on a regular basis until we get an official nightly? (do we even know if that is going to happen?)
Cheers

Yeah, I think I can post a new one once a week or something.

Hi there,
I was so happy to see this build and I thought after waiting so long to put Android 5.1 on my D802 many of the first errors would have been fixed. However, 5.1 still does not accept my PIN to unlock my phone. Is there any patch or workaround or do we simply have to wait?
Thanks for your efforts.

is it based on cm sources or lg-devs caf?

Sorry to ask but I have d800. Would this work; flash d802 rom and render kernel for d800 like on cm12 before d800 had nightlies?

I had this as well yesterday. I just kept on trying to enter it and after a while it worked. So it might just need time to settle. And otherwise I also have a build of last week that maybe works better.

Yeah sure. As it only took me a couple of times for it to work. I didn't think it was a real bug.

Been running it since this morning - stable and no serious bugs as yet. Thanks for building. Hope cm make an official nightly soon.

Cool! Thanks for the build

Thanks for the ROM!
Although they still don't release official nightlies for d802 it's nice to see the devwlopment is still going on, I thought that they abandoned it after CM12 as all other supported LG devices were bumped to CM12.1 except G2.
I'd recomment to build new builds weekly till they push out official nightlies, there's no need to waste time and resources on daily builds (except if the previous build had a sirious bug).

It would be awesome if you could update the ROM like weekly or something. I came from BlissPop, flashed your build and Render's kernel yesterday and my battery lasts way longer than before.

Need to use CWM, the lastest version available.
Updated OP with gapps
Stupid question... Is there a way to install cwm on a SCH-I925? If I search for cwm and SCH-I925 I find nothing.
Unfortunately
Unfortunately, it doesnt work on the N8000. I would gladly test it. But it doesnt even detect the file. Same deal goes with the Gapps.

k I get that, but being a dev, typically means the dev building said roms does the initial testing b4 risking others devices. Thats why I wont build CM etc unless I have the device. I do recoveries without the device, but typically there isnt going to be any development w/o recovery being done first. I also use a small group of testers to ensure it boots and isnt going to brick anyone first too b4 posting it publically.

Older changelog:
- f2fs added
Changelog for version 0.2:
- resync with CM-12
- sync kernel with lots of stuff from grouper (and/or thoemy's endeavoru).

Not working:
- dock battery status
- GPS orbit downloads
- some dock keys (including wake up by pressing dock keys)
Installation instructions:
- put zip on sdcard
- reboot to recovery (seems that you have to first: unmount /data).
- flash zip
- wipe (have not tried if upgrade from kitkat works and won't test this anyway)
For newer updates with CM updater and/or if you want f2fs, you might need a new recovery. Here is the cm recovery from 5-FEB-2015: recovery-cm-5-FEB-2015.img

adb reboot bootloader

No prob. I just re-synced the kernel with stuff from grouper. Those things are not really necessary for cm-12.0
EDIT: there's a new 0.2 version that has recent changes.
Chris
willing to try
I loaded the Omni version which worked but was a little slow - using ART not DALVIK. If anyone else tries this, I found the experience was interesting - you will have to choose a small(er) version of GAPPs to fit on the system partition. I used the version on the XDA PA-GAPPs site that was just over 200 MB in size. I'm back using CM11 because I use this puppy every day.
Official cm12 is out but no tf300
Selinux is not in enforced mode so I can't enable nightlies. That's a must for cm now. If any one can help me on that...

It was not a hard requirement to have Selinux enabled in cm-11.0. It is now a minimum requirement from CM.
BTW: I have fixed the major selinux denials now and the tf300t is now accepted on the official CM nightlies.

Thanks for the build. I flashed it and so far it seems great for a beta. The only issue I'm having other than the camera is lte is iffy, sometimes it works but most of the time it won't. It was the same for other LP builds. I'm on the NE4 bootloader if it matters, if you want a logcat let me know and I'll try to grab one.
Thanks again for making a build for our phone.

[ROM][H811/H815][7.0-7.1][OFFICIAL] Lineage OS 14.0/14.1 for LG G4

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*
*/
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

It is
Was running the 10-05 build for several days. I find it works just as good as CM13, possibly better (smoother/faster). Bugs are very minimal, features are too but overall this is a very stable and solid build so far!
THANK YOU @genesixxbf3 for bringing this to us! I don't really like CM13, but 14, something about it is very nice (coming from someone that prefers stock over aosp).
EDIT: It should be posted that H811 users need to be on 20o FW before flashing this, to make sure they get best experience (if you want sound/camera working).
EDIT2: Oh and now there is a thread for me to report: Zooming with standard gallery hot-reboots the phone.

Unfortunately I am not sure about the h815. With the h811 we had a recent issue where we had to be on the latest FW for it to fully work.
I would 'assume' it would be the same for you. May wish to wait for 815 users to report back which FW they're on and how it all works for them.
(and you don't have to actually be running the stock ROM before flashing this, the firmware is a once-flash-always-flashed type situation; firmware is not ROM based it stays between ROMs)

v20A or newer. So you are fine. Before flashing you don't care what rom you are on. You just need to wipe system , data , cache and dalvik cache and flash whatever you like.

I wonder how do you live with the stock rom on G4
You charge the phone 2 times per day ? haha
The stock rom has issues and it doesn't let the phone get into doze.
Have fun flashing you will never wanna go back to stock again

Haha. I flashed stock rom because I wanted to use Android Pay. There is a deal on in the UK where by you get free London Underground travel on Mondays throughout October.
I was planning on flashing something else after the offer is done but Android Pay failed to work this morning causing a massive queue behind me I have had enough of it!

Hmmm. I don't use android pay but I read somewhere that you can use it with cm 14 or 13 if you use an official and stable build , not nightly or unofficial , and disable superuser in developer settings.
Of course I don't know if that's true
