[Q] Replaceable back covers - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone. Has anyone seen replaceable back battery covers for sale for the Zenfone 2? I know Asus are shouting about the different colours and designs on the Zenfone 2 website, but I can't find anywhere to buy them.

I haven't seen anything available yet either. I'm sure we'll find out more info about availability on Monday.

Original Battery - normal size - Where to buy...

Did anyone managed to buy an original genuine Samsung battery from eBay? I have already received two original fake ones, one is already dead! I found two vendors in eBay whose photos of the battery look real. Links below.
Did anyone buy from them and received? real deal? Any other vendor from whom I can buy one? Before anyone posts, I'm not interested in the new extended battery. Appreciate a lot any input.

Forget eBay when it comes to batterys or SD cards, you want the original do a search on Google.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-standard-battery-eb-f1a2gbucstd-p29442.htm
you can probably get it cheaper if you search.
Thanks, but the link you provided is exactly (or it looks like) what I do not want: a replacement battery. I want an original one from Samsung.
I go eBay, because it is very difficult to get electronics or parts shipped from Europe or the US to Brazil with a reasonable price, or get it shipped at all. Many don't do it.
Anyway, if anyone else can help... Thanks
PS: actually that battery was for the Galaxy S, not the S II, if I'm not mistaken.

mate that is an original battery 100% genuine, eBay is well dodgy when it comes to phone batterys and SD cards and the likes and is to be avoided at all costs this website is 100% spot on.
Yeah, sorry. But it looked so different from the one on my S II. Then I saw the link was for the "S".
I could not find (I've searched before I posted) a "S II" battery on legitimate vendors that I know: Clove, Xpansys... And there is none in the website you suggested.
look again mate this battery is for the Galaxy S2..

Thanks. The website is a bit wierd (it say it is for the S 2, then it say "s" right below; the image is so different from my phone battery...) . I emailed them about it and shippng. I do appreciate your input.
However, and taking into account your advice about eBay, I would appreciate any other input on the above links.
Thanks.
the eBay stores from Korea are usually legit, shimshop is good!
I bought this one recently and haven't had any problems.

i saw a thread about offical battery. you may like that.

Thanks, guys.
The UK company suggested above, shipping costs EUR 23... So I'll take another shot at eBay. I prefer not risking with the HK shops. Will go for the Koreans.
I've bought from Shimshop as well, but the picture on the other Korean site I linked is more clarifying, so I'm still on the fence.
Through my experience of buying two fake batteries, it seems that the top view, where the connectors are, is the most important part to detect counterfeited goods (it was the same with HTC HD2 Batteries I bought). From both Korean sites their batteries seem like the Battery which came in my phone, with the recessed area on top (with no label), but on one site you can see as well a little recessed area (like a very small screw) inside the recessed areas on the sides of the battery. Or maybe it is just a better fake...
Let's see. Thanks again for the help.

I believe it's genuine. I don't even know which one came with the phone anymore. They both perform identically. When I run out of juice I just swap out the battery and stick the dead one in a battery charger. They both last me about a day and night with moderate usage. An hour or so of video at lunch, a few hours of music, 20 or so minutes of gaming and mostly texting throughout the day.

[Q] HTC One black w/ silver ring

Hi, can anyone tell me if my phone is a different version and if all cases are compatible with it? Bought this phone a few days ago from someone but not sure why the back is different from what I see in the reviews.
the ring seems like it is for the stick on phone lenses. I know some cases have a wider camera hole, which would work fine. For what it's worth, NFC doesnt work unless you peel off that metal ring

Honestly i seen a lot of variants of HTC one and that is straight up a mock up and a fake of htc. can you show us the front of the phone with screen on. if it has those android like icons from gingerbread / jellybean knock then i am certain its fake.
Please provide android version number so we can help you further.
*facepalm* sry guys, Just realised i could actually peel it off but it was quite stuck to the lens which actually made me think it was part of it. And i think the use of the metal ring was for attaching some sort of magnetic lens like this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003RBI894?pc_redir=1403459654&robot_redir=1

Gadget insurance for Zenfone 2?

I'm based in New Delhi, India. I'm thinking of getting a gadget insurance for Asus Zenfone 2 Laser since I read a few reviews for original Zenfone 2 and Laser citing screen breaking due to fall and the cost of screen replacement being almost half of the total cost. Has anyone taken insurance for the model in India? Any recommendations. Thanks.

Different battery types?

Hello,
Recently I ordered a new OEM battery to replace my old one. When I tried to switch them out, I noticed that the connector on the new one was attached the wrong way. I contacted the eBay seller, who told me that all their OP3 batteries are like that.
Look at how the old battery was build in 2016, the new one in 2017. The OnePlus logos are switched as well.
My OP3 is an A3003 ordered directly from OP. I did not find any information about different battery models.
Can anyone help me out?

You bought a battery, yes, but it is not OEM. AFAIK, there are no OEM batteries available outside of OnePlus.
