I have an LG G Stylo (which is the same phone as the upcomming LG G4 Stylus and uses the same stylus as the LG G3 Stylus)
The stylus IS capacitive like all your other generic styli you see in stores and online however it is VERY thin.
I have tried the stylus on various other devices like my old phone (HTC Desire 601), and LG Volt, and a PS Vita and the stylus does not work on those at all.
I think the touchscreen digitizers of the LG G stylo (and other LG stylus phones) are much more sensitive to allow such a smaller touch.

LG G PAD Digitizer?

So it came to my mind yesterday when I got a new Bamboo Stylus duo that the G pad digitizer recognizes input A LOT better than my Z1, nexus 7, hp laptop and countless other touch-enabled devices I have had before. Is there any info on why the capacitive digitizer is so good because it feels like other devices are good but not as good as the one inside the G Pad!.,

Warning: Most "G Pad 8.3" accessories do not fit VK810 (Verizon LTE)

Like a logical consumer, I assumed that "G Pad 8.3" was all I needed to search for when buying accessories.
The LG G Pad 8.3 VK810 (verizon LTE) is slightly different than the Wifi only model:
1) Camera position moved , result = will not work correctly with the majority of screen protectors currently sold
2) Headphone and IR port position moved, result = will not work with the majority of cases currently sold
3) there is talk on this forum (unconfirmed) that the thickness of the Verizon version is different by a few mm.
I bought the Voia G Pad Jelly today - and while the unit fits in, the headphone jack is partially blocked, mic is nearly blocked, and IR port is nearly blocked.

The Moko G Pad 8.3 case, available on Amazon does work well and fit perfectly on mine. On my GF's, I had to cut the bottom microphone opening a bit larger to allow the mic to be exposed. This wasn't a big deal and I just used a black Sharpie marker to darken the cut area. Thankfully, the Verizon logo is mostly covered up as I cannot stand Verizon and their unnecessarily large logo branding on devices. The Front facing camera, MicroUSB port and power/volume buttons are fully accessible.
The Xtreme Guard Front/Screen protector fits well and does not cover the Front Facing Camera or Ambient light sensor. The Full Body (rear protector needs about a 1/8th of an inch trimmed on the top center section to allow for the SIM/MicroSD slot to be accessible. This is easily accomplished with sharp scissors. The Rear camera and speaker openings line up perfectly. I hope they make a change to the full body protector in the future to make this modification unnecessary.
What LG engineer saw fit to make such unnecessary alterations? Madness . Thanks for the info.
Bummer. I really like the folio case verizon is selling but I have the v500. Has anyone seen that folio case for the v500?

I have the v500 and the "LG" made Verizon case. Indeed the IR and headphones are off. Thickness isn't an issue it's in there solid. Depending on headphone jack I don't see it being an issue. Case is sharp and light weight.
EDIT: forum flipped pics upside, you get the idea though.
Where is the cheapest place to buy cases? Amazon is the only place i know
All speakers cameras microphone light sensor work. Sd sim covered wont open. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EVNHQEK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Edit buttons work and headphone jack clear

3mm capacitive stylus that works on LG G2?

Really it is a LG G PRO 2(F350K).
I want to find one for my friend. I would really like it if it was small and had a lanyard to hook to the phone's ringlet thing.

[Q] Thin Tipped Stylus?

Is anyone aware of a stylus pen that has a thin tip to be used with the G3. I'm going back to the G3 from a Note4 and really like the ability to make grocery lists etc with the s-pen. Obviously I don't expect the same precision, but just looking for something that has a thinner tip than your typical stylus that's pretty thick. Thanks!
You could probably buy an s pen. Of course the button won't work but it feel the same.

Yes he could buy one, but no it wouldn't work, seeing as the G3 doesn't have the Wacom internals of the note devices.

I know of the Wacom black magic trickery going on with the Note series, its the Digitizer-something or other.
But regarding a normal Android "type" screen, I have read somewhere, in the Google Android API documentation i believe, that there is a minimum contact "patch" size for the Android system to register, 1/4" or 6mm, i think it said.
But the exception to the typical Android touch scenario is the LG Stylos and the G Pad series.
How does the LG do this with the much smaller tip size, which is obviously different from the S-Pen's tip/ digitizer combo.
I haven't come across anything that the LG uses a special screen or such.
Does LG just use different/ altered source code to shrink the contact size required to use such a small tip as they do, about 1/8".
Anybody have any ideas?
If it is coding, could a Custom ROM utilize this altered coding to use a smaller tip as LG has for other devices?
My daily drivers are a Note 4 & a Note 10.1 2014, but had a Tab S 10.5, prior to the Note 10 and is when i started pursuing this because I hate a big bulbous tip that is too annoyingly big & imprecise.
Thanks in advance,
Shakey Dave

Samsung pens wont work they use a magnetic induction layer under the lcd.
The magnetic layer transfer electricity to the spens. Like wireless charging
Only reg styluses work on lg g4. Done been through it.
I bough the lg stylus but is not working in lg g4
