I have purchased HTC Desire 816 from EBay and it is developed for China and programmed (?) for Indian CDMA operators.
Since purchase SMS is not working on phone. Rest phone calls and data is working fine.
HTC support has asked me to contact China Support center and they only support in Chinese !!
Local HTC service center denied to handle it.
Can anyone help me to resolve the SMS issue? Is it possible or I should send back the phone to Ebay and ask for refund ?

I want to use EVO in india Is there any way to get it unlocked for any CDMA service provider in India. If yes i will ask my friend to bring the one for me. not sure when HTC is planning to launch, there are rumors but no confirmation.

a friend of mine (US citizen), is offering to buy me a refurbished Desire in US. Problem is that it is labeled "Smarphone - For US CELLULAR service only." It has Android 2.1, that's all I know about.
Is it possible to install a German ROM on it and is it than also working with German provider Telekom?
Are there different Desire versions on the market? All I know for now is Desire and Desire HD, but both are Multi Language.

Hi i bought Htc Desire from ebay from uk seller and i am waiting for him to ship it to me on monday. I asked for serial and imei numbers and also he sent some pics. It seems that mobile was ok but when i went to check Imei number on numberingplans IMEI analyse it said: Mobile Equipment Type HTC Desire G7 (A8181)
i am confused about that "G7" as when i searched google it seems that G7 are some chinese clones of HTC Desire. When i tried imei number of my brothers desire on the same site it showed just HTC Desire A8181 without G7. Do i have a reason to worry?

No need to worry yet, that is the correct labelling and model number.

I also checked my IMEI number on that site.
Mine one is also: HTC Desire G7 (A8181)
So no need to worry as T-Mobile can not give me fake mobile.

I just came back to Japan and I am currently not signed up with any cellular provider yet. (Also I DO NOT have old cellphone sim...)
I REALLY want to get HTC OneX in Japan... Sim Free 32GB International version with Tegra 3.

My question is when I went to Docomo they told me that they will only let me use it if they will find some sort of a stamp... which means that it has been cleared to used in Japan...
Has anybody just bought HTC One X International version in Japan and got signed with a cellular provider without problems?
I know if I had a sim I could probably cut it, but I want to know if I could just go to Docomo and get a micro Sim from them and use it normally...

I can't find software update menu in my phone.
I want to check this phone is original or fake.I bought this from from local dealer from sri lanka. I ask for HTC E9 plus original phone and after buying this phone I saw a small sticker displaying model number as HTC E9pw.when i searched on the internet about this model i realized HTC E9pw is a Chinese version and not available google play store. but which i have purchase has google play store and i suspect this dealer has cheated me(selling with a custom ROM). only i want know from you whether this phone is original?
