Quick charger - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Accessories

Did anyone try to use the quick charger with the note ?

It has a max 2A charge mode, but that was already Quick Charging at the time the Note came out. Usb regulations specified up to 1,5A, the 2A mode seems to be borrowed from Apple.

Discharging while charging

Does anyone have issues where they are using their phone (just for simple tasks) and noticed your battery is draining significantly? Like right now, I'm typing and my battery just went down another percentage point while posing this.

charging off USB or the wall? USB or car chargers often can't keep up with the drain of LTE phones if you're using them at all.
I'm on AC right now. I have a power strip that sits at the foot of my bed that provides my devices juice.

At which battery level % did this occur?
I'd say if it happens between the 100% to 95% range, its normal, as I have seen that with other phones too.
If it happens at any other percentage, maybe you're charger adapter is not supplying enough power, but that should not be an issue with the stock charger that came in the box.
Have you checked that it's actually charging at AC rate ? I was surprised to find that the charger for my Palm Pre 2 was charging @ USB, I swapped the cable for the one for my TouchPad (same charger) and it changed to AC charging. I'll try different cable and charger combinations when I get time.
Install "Battery Monitor Widget" and monitor the charging rate under mA.
I use the plug that came with the phone a usb to the ac adaptor. I install the app will see tonight when i charge. Also an other point when i charge at night arround 10 pm 5% in the morning wake up at 6 am my phone is charge at 95 to 97% so not fully charge plug all night

It says it's charging USB, not AC.
What does Settings -> Battery say when plugged in, AC or USB ?
Ok for some reason the adaptor that came with the phone when I charge say usb but when I use same adaptor and an other usb cable a blackberry one its say AC. What the...?

Install BetterBattery to figure out what apps are being hung up (partial wakelocks) and re-install them. This drastically increased my battery life!
Also, the screen on wastes the most battery. Try dimming your brightness
Get a 1A charger.

Its the cable. Some USB cables have the data wires shorted or missing altogether and these USB cables are known as charging cables. All they can do is charge the phone. In AC mode. Bought a USB charging cable on amazon for 7 bucks now my car charger charges in AC mode.

[Q] SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 : using a ipad 1charger for my note2

The original charger that comes with my sgn2 sometimes gives me a current_now of 466 sometimes 1000...when i charge my phone it says that i am charging it by usb but im really charging it from the wall...i dont know why..
I had tried using a ipad1 for charging it which has a 2.1V. Normally the original charger only gives a 2.0V. But when i used the ipad1 charger and connecy it with my sgn2 my phone says that i am charging with AC which is from the wall..using the app Galaxy Charging Current Pro this is what shows up:
Current_now: 1698
Current_avg: 1300
Current_max: 1300
Is this safe or should i stop using my ipad1 charger for charging my note 2
Thanks for hearing me out!!
Try using a five pin cable instead of fiddling to with charger.

Hi
What I know is that the original 'charger' just gives a 5V Output (i guess dc) just like a normal usb Port and that the real charger is in the phone but it could be a problem with ac... or are you talking about 2 amps?

Sorry for my english.
Hit Thanks if it helped you

My cable is the source of problem.
It stayed on 8%for like half an hour. Then I gave up. I took out an old black five pin cable which is good as hell.

Anyone have this car charger?

Specs aren't listed and I've already wasted money on 2 car chargers that don't charge my note 2, despite being touted to do so.

Well..they charge him, but in slow mode. Connect your phone and go to Settings->Battery..and you will see one of this "Charging (USB)" or "Charging (AC)". If it says USB, then you only have 500 mA, and AC gives you max from your charger. Original charger for Note 2 is 2A. So, I doubt that any car charger will give you that amount of electric charge. It can help, but it is a really slow process.

Does your cigarettlighter-outlet in your car working?
I'm using a SonyEricsson MicroUSB car charger bought and used with the SE Xperia X10 Mini in 2010. It does easily charge the Note1 while using Google Navigate+GPS and the Spotify (Via Bluetooth with the car stereo).
this subforum for N7000, I suppose?

I purchased a splitter from Amazon that came with 2 cigarette and 2 USB connections. I used the cable that came with my N7000 originally and plugged that in and it works fine. You can go on eBay and search for 2ah USB cigarette charger and just use the cable that came with the note to charge it up.
I wouldn't buy any longer cables as it seems to slow down the charging process by quite a bit.

Looking for an AC & car charger that will charge at 1.5mA (UK)

I've been used to getting just under 1000mA with the included charger but when at my sisters, I plugged into her (generic) tablet charger and was amazed to see the charging rate at 1500mA.
After a little research I see that the Nexus 5 is safe to and capable of 1.5mA but the stock charger is rated at only 1.2mA.
I've tried a number of 3rd party 2000mA AC adapters but these all show as USB charging, so capped at 500mA.
Anyone got anything tried and tested that will give me this. Also looking for similar for my car. I have one that will charge at 1mA but would like more if possible.
Try a different cable with the 2A adapter

Battery charger

Hey guys!
I just bought my xperia z3c last week and it came with a 0.85A charger. However unfortunately, i connected the charger to a faulty power socket and it ruined my charger. So i went and bought a new charger with a charging output of 1A. However when i used the new charger and used the phone, I noticed that the touch screen did not function properly. So should i get a charger with less amp output? Please help

Hi there,
The Amp does not affect the phone even if you have 3A adapter it will not affect the phone
the phone will pull the Amps as it need to charge
however if the Voltage is different than 5V maybe that what causing the issue
my Z3 compact adapter came with 5V 1.5A
Also there is Quick Charger 2.0 (5V 2A / 9V 2A / 12V 1.5A )
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OVD3FEU/
but the Quick charger need to be certified
hope that help
Thanks alot man

If it's a proper USB charger it should be putting out 5v but there are many chargers that do output 5V but are electrically noisy and this causes interference that stops the touch screen from working. I had a OEM Blackberry one that stopped iphone and HP pre/touchpad screens from working.
Ken @ http://www.righto.com/2012/10/a-dozen-usb-chargers-in-lab-apple-is.html did a nice review of some common ones and showed the difference in the quality of the power they provided.
If you have more then one phone, or a phone and tablet that you need to charge at the same time I have had good luck with Anker's family sized chargers.
Thanks for the links man
