[Q] Which headset works best with Asus Zenfone 2? - ZenFone 2 Accessories

Hello guys,
I am searching for headphones (on the ear or over the ear model, preferably with mic). Please recommend headphones under price tag Rs. 2000 (30-35 USD) and should be available in India.
Thanks in advance!

We really need a compatible list of headsets that work with ZF2.
Since the volumes button used for changing tracks and volume are at the back they are best to operate only when being used with a hand and not so much for music listening.
I just tested Mi In Ear Headphone [Model ID:ZBW4122IN ].
Using the MUSIC app : Play, Vol+, Vol- and Next track works fine.
Calling : Big button switches microphone ON or OFF. Vol+ and Vol- work fine.

My Mi Phones(over the ear/on ear) work fine as well.

A Jays Five for Android are working well for me. But the app that goes with them is not so great (it works, but has limited functionality).
Headset Button Controller is better.

RIF6 Bluetooth headphones work well for me. They also have NFC for pairing, and the right headphone is a touchpad for controlling volume and forward/back. There's a microphone too, but I haven't tried that yet.

I use Xiaomi Piston 2, all buttons working... sound is amazing... make sure get the original one

Best headphones I've owned
Hello there,, I've been buying and trying in ear headphones and I think that Symphonized is the best one around for the price you're aiming. Better than Xiaomi, Skull Candy, Sony, Beats, LG and pretty close to Sol Republic at a fraction of the price. You can find those in Amazon. Also you. Can try Asus Zenfone 2 headphones. They're pretty good and cheap. Both Asus and Symphonized have mics and on/off button.

Oh man thanks a lot for this! I did not know this brand. In love with the wireless headset. I know the wood probably makes no difference, but its definitely funky!

Actually I think that wood makes all the difference. The reverberance it naturally creates manages to give a very nice audio. I now that they may not be a reknown company or be the best of the best, but for 20 USD I think they will astonish anyone. Just check the reviews on Amazon. Hope this helps! :good:

Thanks again. I think I'm going for the wireless "sensation" version. And yes. Its definitely worth the price!

I'm using Audio Technica AX1iS it works great for me.

previously used mi piston 3..but its stolen.. currently using mi piston 3 youth edition just for rs. 299. sounds and bass is awesome, almost as same as piston 3....

I love my Panasonic RP-TCM125, buyed them by the Wirecutter review and never looked back. First set broke after 6 months of heavy use, but my second set is going flawless for year an a half, and can't beat them for the price

I'm using Philips DJ Monitor Style SHL3300BK/00 Black headphone ...
It works Great for me ...
Great Sound Quality and Bass ...

[Q] Headphones with in-line mic that work with Android/One X

I'm looking for some headphones, specifically in-ear ones, that work with Android and have a built in Mic and volume controls. I know that many of the ones made for iPod/iPhone don't work with Android properly so I want to make sure I don't make this mistake. I'd quite like the earphones to be good quality ones in the price range of £30 - £90 if possible. I've looked around but not found much. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm using ones from my SGSII. Work perfectly, nice deep base, mic works perfectly fine as well.
Overall, I'd say my SGSII headphones are surprisingly the best earbuds I ever had. To my ear, best frequencies.
So perhaps you can just buy SGSII replacement buds.
Beats in-ear earphones. At hmv they are reasonably cheap. I'm pretty sure you can find ones for less if you try gumtree or eBay. Just make sure they're genuine, Fake ones WILL break within a few days (past experience). http://m.hmv.com/product/details/171063 <---- those are really good quality, and well within your price range.

You should try these out. They are called a-JAYS ONE+, and they are made for android. They also have their own android app where you can customize the button to perform different functions (change track, adjust volume, launch apps etc) the app is called JAYS headset control. The headphones are really good themselves. I would have posted the links, but since I'm new I gotta wait. But I hope it helps

I tried looking for good over ear head phones everywhere for while, finally bought beats by dre Solo HD, however only one button works, the only way i got everything to work was by downloading app called Headset button form google market, which has allowed me to control everything on the phone.
1 click pause song, ans and disconnect call
2 clicks - next song
3 clicks - rewind songs
hold the button - volume up
click + hold button - volume down

Hello
Can someone suggest any headphone (preferably in-ear) with remote (for hanging up calls, could include volume controls) and mic for daily use while driving?
Thanks

I'm not sure about how well they work specifically with the Moto g but the Xiaomi Pistons 2 are supposed to sound amazing for the price
The default headset does that.
1 time Press for Attending Call
And Long Press For Disconnecting Call.

They really are a very nice and affordable pair of headphones, which indeed sound _really_ nice.
Although only one of the three remote control button works, so you cannot change volume with it, you can pause/play, answer calls and skip to next track though (using the working button). The mic works flawlessly.
I would still recommend these headphones to anyone, but you really have to make sure, you do not buy a knockoff product (I bought mine from ibuygoo.com and they're legit)

The problem is a lot of Moto G's don't come with those headsets. I think that only Indian ones do.

Glad to see your enjoying them I've been planning on buying a pair but I'm not sure whether to choose free shipping or pay extra for the tracked one. Which one did you pick when you got yours?

Hi,
How does the microphone performs on Pistons 2? I picked up Samsung EHS64 based on good review on head-fi.org, directly from amazon (not some cheap-fake marketplace seller), sound is amazing, mic is also clear, but buttons don't work even with the headset controller app.

That's because these earphones are meant for Apple devices. ( I know because i was researching the same ones. I bought the android ones but they don't have the 3 button mic). Remember to research for android and ios compatibility before buying earphones next time. The volume buttons wont work because of earphone controls are wired differently for apple devices (Those hipsters want even the earphones to be different so they can charge you extra)

I bought the cheapest ones I could find on amazon, and the only limitation I have is that I have to switch my watch to my right hand otherwise the audio skips.
Google Music + Ghost Racer + paper towel folded between my wrist and the watch... I'm golden.

Yes they do, I have them and the sound is quite loud and clear, satisfied with them.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NZTHGN2?redirect=true&ref_=s9_simh_gw_p107_d0_i1
Use code R5I87BLP to take $10 off. Most are $20 before coupon. Sounds as good as my bluebuds X. Well worth the $10 and then some.
I use the Avantree Sacool Pro paired with the watch for running and they work and sound pretty good (a bit bassy but soundstage is nice and wide) for the price point. Claims to be sweatproof and I haven't had issues in that area yet. Battery life could be better though (3~4 hrs).
I use the Sony SBH-20 with a pair of Yurbuds when running and they are great. £20 ish for the SBH-20 and you supply your own earbuds.

Is anyone having problems wearing the watch on the left? I've tried 2 different headsets and they only work when my watch is on the right.

using iphone (remote) headphones

a lot of great headphones are made for iphones unfortunately. is there any way to use the three inline buttons on these headphones in android? volume up down and play/pause/answer call button...
I need to know too.. It just not working..
Check out - myBuds Pro headset
I had a new pair of headset that I bought in the summer from Fry's for $3 after big sale + personal code discount. After reading this tread, I tested them with my Nexus 5X and they seem to work. So the middle button answers/ends the call and if playing music, this same button will pause/resume playback and also if held down, will initiate google voice search The quality of the audio seems to be missing treble and some mids, but bass is kind of there.
FYI - This headset is also working with Xbox One Headset adapter loud and clear!
I recommend you get the xiaomi piston 2 or 3, or the new xiaomi hybrid headphones. They are dirt cheap and deliver superb audio quality for the price.
I've had both the piston 2, piston 3 and now the hybrid. I've upgraded once a year since you can always get original ones for 20 bucks on aliexpress.com.
http://www.neowin.net/news/review-of-the-xiaomi-hybrid-earphones-xiaomi-have-done-it-again
They're made for android so the remote works and has play/pause/vol up/dn.
Best headphones you can get for that price that are android compatible.
iPhone headsets wont work on android and vice versa, it's a patent thing, so they use different voltages to register the signal from the headset remote.
