[Q] ODIN fails at the very end, says added and then removed - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Allo,
I finally found the ROM for Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M and the CF auto root.
The problem is that ODIN transfers the image to the phone but fails at the very last bytes. It says added, fails, removed.
Odin 3.09 is used, autorebbot and F.Reset are ticked. Nothing else.
What am I doing wrong???? What is required to have a sucessful upload?

Youre in the LG G4 forum, not the galaxy S4 forum.

I would hope Odin/s4 rom would fail on a G4

I have extracted and repackaged the modem for those who are interested in trying it. It flashed with Odin on Overcome 1.4.2 without problems. @alter, this does not excuse you from giving us the full ROM.

whats changed what new,
how does it feel
home screen the same
how do i do this on heimdall? my odin is refusing to show connected download mode, but Heimdall works fine.
Nevermind, got it. Had to reinstal kies drivers to get it to work.
You have to uninstall the drivers for Heimdall and re-install the drivers for Odin - one or the other, cant use both at the same time.
I`m new on this.
So if i will flash this with Odin it will unroot my device ? I have an Euro Galaxy Tab P1000 and now i`m rooted.
How do you root this rom?
I've tried z4root which didn't work. Superoneclick finished rooting but any apps that require root always fail saying root access not aquird.
Any help?
okay this might make me sound stupid, but how do i do that on windows?
NEVERMIND. Just ran this....

As far as i know nothing really changed in this update. But i know some bluetooth stuff needs 2.2.1 and up. So i am sure there are other apps that might like this update. Possibly has some slight fixes in it also.
With some tweaks I am getting constant mid-low 19 linpack scores!

Oh yeah, downloaded the P1000ZTKC1 and tried to upgrade my tab but always failed when Odin tries to read boot.bin and bricked my tab. Had to reinstate Tab again. Maybe it is because the firmware is not packed properly or could be I am doing it the wrong way. I had not tried full reset and upgrade yet tho.

This rom is rock, very smooth, less battery consumption, and only need 5 sec to lock gps from google maps

Well, I will wait a while till I have time to do a hard reset then only try upgrade again. At the moment, I'll live with my current 2.2 rom. Or maybe wait for 2.3 to be release before upgrading.

Can anyone tell me if this rom allows for HID Bluetooth support? Specifically WiiMote. Thanks in advance.

Mobile Odin Pro on N7105 - Cannot Detect Device Error

Hi
My "search" has led me to using ChainFire's recent CF-Auto-Root approach to ensure stock recovery, and purchasing Mobile Odin Pro 3.5.
I saw that SGN2 LTE or GT-N7105 is supported, but after installing, I tried running it several times w/o success. Each time, it ends up with 'Cannot Detect Device' error.
Can anyone advise?
Background: I was using CWM with rooting. I'm assuming that with the CF-Auto-Root approach, there is no issue.
Thanks.

Un-and reinstall the app and reboot, then try again. It should support the N7105.
So far unsuccessful

Looks ok now
Just an update.
I did TA just in case, then re-flashed the stock firmware, applied CF-Auto-Root, and now Mobile Odin Pro has installed itself. All within 5min.
I will look again at trying Pimp My Rom via Mobile Odin Pro. This is to optimise the phone thru the kernel n hardware.
ALso, to explore other things, before (ever) a successful custom rom is out.
Thanks anyway.
Issue with running Pimp My Rom based on Mobile Odin Pro
Just an update:
PMP is actually interactive requiring many user selections. When I tried to run it from Mobile Odin Pro, the phone screen display was flickering rapidly making it difficult to carry out selections.
Phone is working.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Another update:
I went thru the process of flashing CWM which then allows for PMR as per (its) normal. Then re-did CF-Auto-Root and TriangleAway .. just to make sure.
Phone is fine. I presume I hv stock recovery (mode), as well as having done PMR to tweak the system (aka kernel/hardware).
Question/Remark: maybe more commonly - Mobile Odin Pro would still run with custom recovery, and do the things that it should do.

cant root phone

i am on $.3 I have tried root de la vega, with odin 3.09 I have tried using chainfire with CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.tar.md5 on odin 3.07 and I keep getting removed at the bottom line in odin.. I also get three lines on top of the phone top line says recovery rooting the seconfd says recovery is not seandroind einforced and the third says set warranty enforced. the then bow in odin says reset, then afrter while it will say pass but the phone wont reboot it just has those three things on top and the galaxy logo. and the bottom line in odin changed to succeded 1 failed 0 and if I reboot the phone the into download mode they still stay there. Luckily I can still reboot into my regular rom. Also Kies will no longer recognize my phone. does anyone know whats happening. I really need some help here please. thanks

rooting pro 8.4

Hi,
Im having real trouble trying to root my galaxy tab pro 8.4. I just cant get odin to see the tablet or my friends note 3. I have done everything the tutorials say. but not. It doesnt go blue so i cant flash.
I have rooted before but went back to normal rom from sammobile. I would like to root again but just get odin to work. Can anyone help or is there another way to do it.
Thanks
Try another cord? Another computer? Do you have drivers installed? Does your computer recognize your tablet - can you see what is on your internal/external drives?
Tried another cord and computer but yes the pc can see the what's on it etc

What version of Odin are you using? Try re-downloading Odin? Are you running Odin as administrator (right click on Odin icon and select run as administrator)
Tried them all and nothing. Just won't see my galaxy pro tab or note 3.yes right admit.

Did you install Kies 3?
However, you have to close Kies before running Odin.
I have installed kids, and un installed it as I read they conflict
Sent from my SM-T320 using XDA Free mobile app
They don't conflict. I rooted my Tab Pro 8.4 with Odin 3.09 while having Kies 3 installed. Maybe when you uninstalled Kies it uninstalled the drivers, too?
I'd reinstall Kies and then reboot. Then try again with Odin.
Cheers, tried all that sees nothing. When the tab is on in odin it shows as com 5 as soon as I put it in recovery mode, nothing. Very odd. Really want to put a custom rom on as I hate touch wiz

Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring here - I'm having the exact same problem with a Tab 10.1.
I've tried everything the OP mentions with no success. It just simply seems that Odin (3.7, 3.9. 3.10) is incapable of seeing the tablet on ADB, even though it sees it instantly in normal boot.

It's download (Odin) mode.

Samsung ne2 binary download?

So even though I went completely stock MC2 and then used odin to flash mk4 I still hit the softbrick 4.3 bug.
So I again did what worked last time. Kies firmware uppdate which downloads the recovery.
Then I was doing a cleanup and found NF_Download/BinaryForMass[1].do
1.07GB DO file. Matching the time frame I'm assuming that's the download package kies used to recover....
"Point"-> Can this file be utilized?
