[Q] Battery Voltage LOW ONLY 3mv - LG Optimus G (International)

after installing solid kernel 1.8 my phone always crashing when running a benchmark like antutu. but when i'm on stock rom it completes the test, but i'm not yet see the voltage on stock?
what should be the problem ? my battery ?
thanks for any help on me .

update im on stock and still its in 3 to 4mv of my voltage , i test again with antutu and it complete the benchmark.
what could be the reason that i have only 4mv on my battery? but when i switch to solid kernel or cm12.1 it crashed on benchmarking, that has the same 4mv like on stock. 4mv is very low im right?

please help

I have three evo's two are box stock and one is rooted, and is running cyanogen mod 7 kernel and rom.
The problem is the linpak and quadrant score on the modified evo are actually lower than the stock evo. For example the stock evo is doing a linpak of 30 while my modified evo is only doing about 21. Likewise my quadrant score tends to be pretty low. I have to clock my modified evo to the max to pass the stock evo.
What gives why is my evo overclocked to 1.13 with custom kernel and rom slower? I set the profile to performance.
A while back while using the tiamat kernel I set my overclock to 1.2 and the phone just froze and shutdown did I damage the phone. This happened several times because it kept on rebooting. Today I set the clock 1.190 and the phone froze and shutdown again. Right now I am running the Cyanogen Kernel and no issues so far but why is my phone so slow. Both evos don't have much apps at all only one or two(excluding the stock sprint apps on the stock evo)
Thanks for your help
so what do u need to overclock ur phone for? does it dial faster? can u talk and hear phone calls faster? does it ring faster? I don't understand????
I forgot to mention that on quadrant my modified evo ranks below evo 2.2+ on that quadrant score chart. Is my phone defective?

I'm just curious and want to learn more. Why do you guys overclock?
I see people avg's with my my current setting are around 40. Im thinking defective phone.
Should I flash the stock rom back on and un-root and bring the phone back?
rebooted the phone and now the score is just getting crazy low 6.509 mflops
Overclocking an EVO doesn't really do all that much. It's only 200 MHz more.
Desperately need help the touch screen doesnt work and this was all the sudden
Overclocking can cause some instability, like the locked-up screen. Pull the battery and wipe cache and dalvik.
And benchmarks aren't worth anything, they can be easily tricked. Real-world usage matters. Personally, I underclock for more battery

Search the general section for supercharge script. Go to first thread and then go to original thread linked in there. Follow steps and dl update8. Run it as explained. Enjoy ur extremely faster phone. It changes memory management and stuff
Thanks for your helps guys.
Tropicalbrit your right. I really forgot the point of the phone is to see how well it works daily. In all reality I love my evo even though its not getting a high score. I was mainly just curious to see if I damaged my processor from overclocking and crashing.
I booted into recovery and used CW and booted back into a copy of sense I had. I did that linpak test again a was suprised to see how it scored 31. That's higher than CM7! So does this mean my processor is not damaged?
I will eventually go back to CM7 because I love all the effects and battery life was extended significantly. I should just probably stick with the stock kernel.
Thanks for all your help guys
I may try that supercharge script soon though if its safe.

You are running a governor which down clocks the processor. Quadrant does not tax the processor enough to hit your Max CPU speed. Set min and Max to 998 and test again. Try performance(for best results) or interactive/ondemand governers. You can change the settings in the CyanogenMod settings/ performance/ CPU settings menu.

Overclocking a phone doesnt do much other then cause over heating. If someone can give me a good reason to overclock I will gladly change my opinion.
Stock is set to optimal performance. IE HTC has performance tested the phone on this ROM and has proven no ill effects.
Custom ROMS are works in progress they have a lot of benefits and for some, are exactly what they are looking for.

Heavy battery drain on Gingerbread

Hey Guys,
I've been trying out many roms in the last time and I've noticed that on every Gingerbread rom, the battery drain is much higher than on Froyo roms. That's weird, because I constantly hear of people's battery life getting better after switching to Gingerbread.
On Froyo, the standby consumption is at 5 mA. On Gingerbread it's 75 mA. On Froyo, I can surf the internet for 10 minutes and nothing changes, on Gingerbread the battery would lose 5%. With regular use, when the phone is full in the morning, it's almost every day empty 8 hours later.
I just want to have a Gingerbread Wildfire with decent battery life. I tried many roms, and even on CM7, battery life is horrible. Even on a clean install without any apps. What is going on there? Is it maybe the radio? Or the kernel? Do you experience similar drain?
Maybe CPU?
I dont know if this will help but Gingerbread roms often have overclock settings, have you used the overclock feature because this would most definatly reduce your battery life but otherwise im not too sure but i must say i was using Oxygen (Gingerbread) on my wildfire and the battery life was very bad compared to stock ruu roms, sorry if i didnt help :S
Any idea? Im about to upgrade to the gingerbread.

I know about that, but I don't overclocked my Wildfire. Just because the battery drain is heavy enough on regular CPU speed.

Just upgrade and see yourself, I heard about many Wildfire users with Gingerbread who got better battery performance than on Froyo. Unfortunately, I ain't one of these
After a new flash it's usual to have battery drain. After a few charges it will buff out.

underclocking ur cpu is a propable way to go. actually using conservative governor in cpu settings, may help your battery efficiency. but before doing this, search for a thread concerning this matter. u can always give it a shot and see for yourself, decide later if you want to keep gingerbread or not.

[Q] cant tell if theres something wrong with my gnex?

hey guys, so im trying to figure out if theres something wrong with my gnex possible the hardware. ive been using antutu to benchmark it over the past month and at first i was getting scores of 6900 on aokp and francos kernel, but in the past couple of week ive been getting things like this http://imgur.com/ybWRK
the two numbers that are taking the biggest hit are the cpu and ram. is there any way that flashing roms are kernels could have damaged any physical part of the phone? its also been acting a little sluggish so i know its not all the benchmark. any ideas or advice?
which versions of aokp and franco are you using?
b25 for aokp and 18.2 for franco. im wondering if i might have overheated something? is there an app or some other way to see if the hardware is all running the way it should?
i regularly see temperatures from 120-140 without having anything open and not charging, should i return it and try another one or is this normal? from what ive read this is kind of hot.

I see exactly what the problem is, and it's very common.
Your CPU speed is at 1500 MHz -- obviously overclocked.
What can often happen is the OC creates more heat. This causes thermal CPU throttling, which actually will slow the CPU to below-stock speed.
I reckon that if you were to turn your max CPU speed back to 1350 or 1200 you would probably get higher benchmarks even though the CPU speed is slower.

[Q] Worse battery life after installing DoomKernal

I'm using FPSE playing FF7 as the test.
Before installing DoomKernal I was getting a drain of about %13 per hour.
After Installing DoomKernal I am getting a 24% battery drain per hour.
I thought DoomKernel was supposed to help battery life. I even cleaned up the running processes. So they don't drain the battery in the background.
I have installing SetCpu but I haven't overclocked, I only used it to set the minimum speed lower.
I have JuiceDefender set to disable connectivity when using FPSE.
Am I doing something wrong?
try fully charging then turn off phone continue charging then boot recovery and press wipe battery stats.

Not sure which kernal your using with 10 i get nearly as good as stock, so close i leave it, where in the past ive tried them and always gone back to stock
If its V11 i think from memory the GPU is overclocked and in his thread he does state that the effect of this on battery is unkown.
When i say as good as stock i mean at comparable set speeds.
using v11 now, no significant difference than previous one...
I use DoomKernel v10 and battery life is excellent. I use different governers based on what I am doing.
Like smartass and underclocked to 400Megs during night and 1G or 1.2G during and gaming with OnDemand.

Tried DoomKernel v10. Went back to Advanced Stock to emulate the original conditions. No significant difference here between both kernels.
Well I don't know why then. I used the latest one available at the time.
When I tried it, I wasn't overclocking or anything. Left things as is.
I'm now using Cyanogenmod 7 with it's kernel, and I'm getting same/slightly better battery life than stock. But when I was on DoomKernel, battery life just sucked.

I'm really sorry for it, Masters... I guess there are too many variables to understand. Maybe it's a slightly different phone, maybe our modus operandi is different (i proably drain more battery than you, based on your posts).
Anyway, I hope you can find a solution, or maybe in newer versions it will be better. For now, sorry I can't help.

Poor battery life amnd heat with cyanogenmod and

When navigating Google maps my device gets fairly hot to the touch.
I am running cyanogenmod nightly with greenify to keep background apps down
In the past CM was always better battery life and lower temps. Has this changed? How do I get the best battery life out of my device? Flash another kernel? Go back to stock? Do I have a hardware problem?
Also my battery does not report 4900 mah in battery apps when fully charged. Any idea about this?
Thanks in advance!
Cyanogenmod cant take exynos octa and gets hot i had that issue couldnt fix had to go back to stock

So I may have solved my problem. I think you're right Cyanogenmod might not have a good setting for this CPU. Idownloaded kernel auiditor and switched to power save mode and underclocked the CPU and now I am getting ridiculously good battery life!
Loving this little tablet again.

Sorry guys been busy.
So I am still on CM 12.1 nightly and getting good battery life now. Below is what I found helps:
1. Underclock and change CPU governor. This tablet haa 4 codes I believe 1900 mhz each. This is really overkill for most tasks. Your preference may vary for responsiveness, but I have settled on around 300-500mhz per CPU for my purposes. If you play games you can set profiles and turn up the CPU for those games if you like.
2. Install xposed framework - this is kind of a prerequisite for amplify and greenify
3. Install and configure greenify - this makes your apps chill and not use too much battery
4. Install and configure amplify - manages your wake locks and alarms so as not to drain battery
5. Install , tweak gravity box how you like it.
I think the biggest difference for me is the underclocking .. My tablet doesn't get hot when navigating anymore. I really couldn't deal with that because I'm thinking about the battery inside getting fried with heat. The other programs just add bonus battery and memory
This is interesting. I had also been on CM 12.1 and it was working pretty smoothly except the tablet at times got too hot to hold in your hand. It was also completely useless as a daily driver s it gave me max 2hrs screen on time (instead of 6.5 hrs) and for some reason it would take half a day to recharge the battery. Overall, not really very usable. I am now back on stock and took forever to unload all the samsung junk, optimize wakelocks etc, covert to F2FS etc. It is working OK now, but still nowhere near as smooth as CM12.1 was running on it before. Too bad because I love this tablet especially the fact I can just put my second sim card in and make phone calls etc (T705)
Can you maybe share what sort of general battery life you are really getting with the setup your described?
Clocking the CPU down to a 1/4 of the normal maximum speed seems very drastic, is it at all usable after?
Thanks!
